[Gloved fingers drum against the arm of a not-so comfortable chair, which is connected to several large cables and wires, of course—something has to do its job somehow. A humanoid leans back in its seat and within an instant several floating, holographic screens take over its vision. Each screen is displaying clear, live footage of different sections of a LASKA building. Non-playable characters, or employee's move about, conversing with one another or busying themselves with work—not knowing there is a pair of eyes watching; perhaps more accurately, not knowing how many and when it's watching. This is what makes its job appealing. It can do what it does best; people-watching. (It is its favorite hobby, after all.) But that's not the only thing—it also doesn't have to get so involved. Being a camera gives it a third-person omniscient point of view, similar to a narrator, but it's a far cry from that. It's a very important role to be, so no. It likes to view itself as a background character. One that supports the main cast whenever they need, while it's unmoving in its seat as it observes from the screens. (Like a game, if you will,) it brings a comfortable detachment from reality; allowing it to stay unseen, undetected and unmonitored. But back to what he was doing... its eyes are jumping from screen to screen, searching for mostly anything more interesting than the dull conversations from characters that exist to fill the space. But one—]

[wait.]

[... A quiet, dissatisfied hum comes from his throat. He rests his chin on his palm.]

(Great.)

[The cameras are pointing towards him. The audience's eyes are on him. More characters are also bound to notice. CCTV is being seen.]

(He hates that.)

❝Can't you find someone more important?❞

[on-camera]

[You expect a message, but instead, you're met with an uncomfortable silence—save for the static coming from the few (seemingly) broken screens, of course. But somehow, in this dark room... you know a presence welcomes you.]

❝Hm. Welcome.❞

[Okay. Nevermind.]
