Icon status confirmed
"When Shelley's corpse washed ashore, a friend identified it by a copy of Keats's 1820 volume in the coat pocket, which he knew Shelley had taken with him. Then, after cremation in which Shelley's heart, hardened by calcium, did not burn, this same friend snatched it from the embers and presented it to Mary Shelley, who kept it thereafter in her desk, wrapped in a copy of 'Adonais."
Here’s your morbid literary fact of the day.

Please help! Desperately trying to find a book title!
I like to consider myself someone who’s always looking ahead towards the next great read but that doesn’t mean that I’m immune from remembering the books I’ve read in the past and wondering where they are and what they’re getting up to.
That said, I’ve been thinking about a book I read when I was younger but I can’t remember what it was called or who wrote it. As you can imagine, this has been driving me INSANE!
It was about a young female singer who was in a band but one of the members died. She gets scouted and becomes this huge superstar (don’t know whether or not this is the title!) but is conflicted about losing contact with her friends and going on without the band. I remember she has this manager who’s pretty pushy (something is making me think his name was Ray/ Ray Jay or Paul...?) and that she ended up having an affair with a backing dancer that turned out to be orchestrated by the manager. I remember at one point the backing singer swoops her away in a car or something and she finds his phone the next morning with texts from the manager.
I also remember a talk-show host who, at first, she didn’t know how to handle before ending the book confidently talking with him. I also remember that she was meant to have a rivalry with another singer (which was staged for media attention and the MC knew nothing to very little about) before they stepped out and sang together (pretty much as an eff you to her manager and the backing singer).
I know it had a pink (also maybe purple) cover with a glitter ball or microphone on and I’m pretty certain it was written by a male author. I’ve done research from another book I remember having at the same time and that one was published in 2003 so I don’t know whether that helps!
I’ve been scrolling pages and pages of book lists and have gotten nowhere! If anyone knows what this book is PLEASE let me know and put me out of my misery!
If you don’t know, please share this post around so it might be read by someone who DOES know. I always regretted getting rid of this book and I would love to be able to read the story again!
Any and all help or advice is appreciated!

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short, but scream it at them in German because life is also confusing and scary.

Looking for people with experience of anxiety
I'm writing an article on anxiety and the affect that it can have on young people, and I'm after some people who can share their experiences with me. While I have experience of anxiety myself, I'd really like to hear what other people have been through and how you have handled the condition. If you are under the age of 18 and have a form of anxiety or have experienced anxiety when you were that age, and are willing to speak to me, please get in touch- either by replying to this post or sending me a private message. If you know someone who may be able to help, please direct them to this post. If you have any questions about what speaking to me (via tumblr) would entail or want to know more about the article, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for taking the time to read this message and I hope that you can help me make more people aware of this often-misunderstood condition.
