idk this has been on my mind for a while but i love Even Evil Has Standards as a whump trope ehehe
so, the setup: superhero whumper, sidekick/subordinate whumpee and villain kidnapper-turned-caretaker, where villain kidnaps whumpee for information/ransom/whatever; whumpee is Troubling, it’s revealed at some point during the whumpee’s captivity that the hero has crossed whatever they deem to be The Uncrossable Line so caretaker decides ‘hmm no actually i’m keeping you lol
Pfft I like this one-
The whumpee expected the caretaker to hurt them, but it didn’t take long before the caretaker was giving them plenty of food and medicine. Let’s just say that the caretaker didn’t even need to ask for information.
The whumper is furious, in their eyes the caretaker is just undoing all of their efforts- they had made the whumpee strong but the caretaker was ruining it all.
The caretaker confronts the whumper publicly, theyre supposed to be a hero- someone that protects people yes they’re hurting the ones close to them.

Dragon caretaker (who can look human) to human whumpee who is a part of their "treasure?" It's not a ship, they're just best friends who the dragon accidents revealed themself to. I live for your prompts!!!
I love when dragons have treasures that aren’t actual money
One of mine likes to collect cool rocks
The whumpee thought the caretaker was protective due to their condition, they never realized that the caretaker had other reasons to act overprotective. The reveal did explain a lot.
The whumpee first jokes about being part of the treasure after the reveal, which the caretaker isn’t ashamed to admit because they want to make sure the whumper never hurts them again.
The whumper had tried to come back for the whumper which registered to the caretaker as an attack to their hoard. It was a surprising reveal for the whumpee and whumper but helped explain a lot.

Welcome!! I’d love to be tagged in your first superhero/villain post because that’s my jam!!
Hello! I’m Hypno! (they/them)
I’m new to the whump community! I saw people hurting their characters and I thought “oh shit that’s tasty” and so now I want to make my own hurt!
I really enjoy the torturous process of brainwashing, of changing someone’s mind so completely, and them struggling to hold on to themself until its no use and any last bit of resistance is quashed under the whumper’s foot… good stuff!
And so, most of my stuff will probably be centered around the whumpee struggling to stay sane despite everything! :D
So! I have planned a Box Boy Universe series on the way, as well as a Superhero/Supervillain series! How fun!
I’d like to thank @haro-whumps for introducing me to this community with Ren and Soren’s story as well as the group whumps story, @the-host-and-colton for, well, the Host and Colton, @ashintheairlikesnow as well for Kauri (i have yet to read the others), and @albino-whumpee, @cubeswhump, and @whump-my-darling for more things for me to read… thank you!
…i have,,,,a lot of things to read now. and write too. and draw.
hm.

The healer has the ability to absorb their teammate's wounds, but the transferred damage may incapacitate the healer if the wound is too fatal. There's a tough choice here: save the teammates immediately at the cost of their own health, or try other method that's slower and riskier but will keep the healer safe until the mission is over.
Not to mention being out of it and useless to anyone else who might get hurt!

Emotional Burnout
The hero, who puts himself on the line every day to keep people safe… Is at their breaking point. Exhausted. Worn down. They can hardly summon the strength to fight the latest villain. (”What’s the point? Another one will come. And another. Until one of them wins.”)
In that spiral of hopelessness, the most unexpected person is there to pick up the pieces and remind them of why they fight.
The villain.

When the whumpee is badly hurt and even being jostled slightly is very painful for them, but they have to travel a long distance in a cart on a bumpy road. The caretaker sitting in the cart with them, stroking their hair and whispering soothing things, trying to make it as bearable as possible for the whumpee, unable to do anything else to help ease the whumpee’s pain.

Ya know what kills me?? Good old-fashioned whump. I’m talking whips. I’m talking rusty chains. A good beat down, maybe with a crowbar or even just some bruised knuckles. I’m talking gags. Hands bound behind backs with fraying, coarse rope, pulled too tight and grinding into skin. Knives, possibly heated over a fire first. Burns in general. Brandings. Sure, modern-day whump with electrocution is my shit too, but old-fashioned whump is w h e r e i t ‘ s a t.

Consider
Your whumpee has been human their entire life, but their whumper is a supernatural creature. One day the whumper enters with an odd look in their eye and says:
“You’ve proven yourself, now is your time to rise.”
What happens next? Does your bloody and battered whumpee whine in fear before skittering as far away as their chains will let them? Do they meekly accept whatever new trauma awaits, choking down their terror at the unknown? Or do they latch on to an opportunity to be more than a punching bag for the whumper?
Either way they will be turned into something new. Now you get to decide how it goes. Is the transformation painful? Does the whumper make it better or worse? Are the whumpee’s cries of dismay hushed gently or are they slapped for being ungrateful?
The possibilities are endlessly beautiful.
(@ me if you use this prompt, I will like and comment!)

Whumpee greets Caretaker after entering the room and listens to Caretaker talk about a recent event. Without warning, Whumpee begins to feel odd but Caretaker is too busy to notice yet. Then Whumpee says in a panic “I can’t see!” and Caretaker’s head snaps in their direction. Whumpee unceremoniously makes their way down to the floor, an anxiety attack making their throat tighten, as Caretaker rushes toward them. Caretaker helplessly grabs onto Whumpee and softens their fall as they pass out.

The whumper roughly grips the whumpee’s chin and jerks their face up, staring into eyes that are either wide with fear or narrow with hatred. Especially when the whumpee is chained down on their knees. Gets me every time.

The idea may not be something I have encountered (at least on my memory but). The one where scars always heal “beautifully” on a magical being, be it a fae, an angel, anything. They always heal into these finely carved patterns, golden and silver or any other colour, so perfectly no matter how much you mess it up. It may seem now not so whumpy, but consider such whumpees being kept as ornaments, purposefully hurt in different ways just to see how the wounds keep stubbornly forming there perfect blooms. People relishing in how agony and pain keep making the whumpee “perfect”. “Better”. “Prettier”. Comparisons on who has got the best scars, the finest pieces of art, as those are surely a sign of finer breed.

Tips for a new writer on how to gain interest for their work and OCs? Thank you!
When I started this blog, I began writing prompts and concepts to first gain interest from followers in the actual blog. It helps followers get an idea for your writing style and ideas.
I started sharing some of my work and OC concepts by creating a character bio, with details about their life and backstory. You can post random facts about them, even quick drabbles to generate interest. Depending on what your story is and how often you post updates, its popularity pickup will be different.
Hope this help!

Whump Prompt 70
Caretaker has to get Whumpee to a doctor on horseback. Riding fast across the plains, Whumpee is barely able to stay sitting up in front of Caretaker. Each step of the horse agitates their wounds and bumps them against Caretaker, and they can’t get them treated until they find a doctor. It’s nothing but painful for the entire ride.

Human whumpee being turned into a vampire against their will scenarios 🖤
It could be kinda situation where they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and an evil or rouge vampire attacks them. They wake up, not even realizing they were attacked and bitten. After going though all the changes, they realize they are no longer human.
The human who despises vampires, one that goes out of their way to hurt them, degrade them and make them miserable anytime they can. Some vampire seeking revenge, turns them so they can finally get a taste of their own medicine. They wake up and find that they, too, are now one of those horrible monsters they so hate. They feel the shame of being looked down upon and ridiculed by human society.
And my personal favorite... The human whumpee is dying and their vampire friends can only think of one way to save them.
