hello! so i’m writing this fic where characters a and b used to be partners in crime (like literal crime) but they broke up. i have everything that i want to put except for how they’ll find each other again, i think i want it to be crime related but idk. do you have any suggestions? btw i love your prompts so much!! thank you :))
Hi and thank you :)
A few ideas how they could meet again:
Partners in Crime - Meeting again
they meet while both of them plan or commit the same crime, independent from each other and they see, they still have the same modus operandi
they meet because A has a big coup planned, but they unfortunately need B’s skills for that
they meet while they’re both brought in to the same police station
they meet at an accomplice’s house, who brought them back together, because they want to cash in a favor, they both still owe the accomplice
they meet when A catches B committing a crime and A loves that they can now hold this over B
they meet when A wants to get revenge on someone and even though they broke up, B is willing to help out
I hope you like one of them for your story and good luck writing!

Bookstore AU
Person A moves into a small town and takes over a book shop, whose previous owner died. What they didn’t know was that they would also take over the regular customers, who seem to be an interesting bunch.
Other people might think of expensive restaurants when they think of the perfect date, but Person A can’t help but feel that they are having the perfect date, browsing books in a cute little book shop and listening to Person B talk about their favourite books.
There is a launch event for the next book in their favourite series, so Character A has to be there. And seems like they are not the only one obsessed with the books, because Character B is also there to get their hands on the newest book.
Character A wouldn't want anyone to know that they like books like this, so when Character B comes up to them in the bookstore and sees the book they wanted to check out, they have to convince Character B to never tell anyone about it.
They get into a very heated debate over their favourite book series, so when the bookstore closes, they go to the coffee shop across the street to continue their discussion.
Character A works in the local bookstore and they have their fair share of weird, but lovable customers. And Character B is starting to become their favourite one.
Bumping into the one person who is always picking fights with them in online forums about their favourite book series is not what they expected would happen when they entered the store.
It's a limited edition of their favourite book and no, you can't buy it online, so when Character A finally finds it in a small bookstore, they won't let Character B take it away from them.
Character B is the type of person who goes into a bookstore and just casually reads the entire book without buying it. As the new owner, Character A will no longer tolerate this behaviour.
After working in a bookstore for such a long time, it should be easy for Character A to understand the personality of their customer, Character B, but they keep switching genres, like they are trying to make it extra hard for them.
Character A debated with their friends which book they should get, because they really don't want to choose, but money is tight, so they can only get one. After leaving the store, Character B, who overheard everything, comes up to them, smiles, and gives them the book they had to leave behind. It was not only a gift from Character B, but Character A also finds the receipt with a phone number on it.
It was perfectly normal to discuss a book they see at the bookstore with their friends, but it's definitely not normal to suddenly be interrupted by the author of said book.
Character B always comes in with the most obscure book inquiries and Character A is starting to get annoyed.
Character A notices that their books are turning up in different sections than they put them in and goes to investigate the issue. Turns out Character B disagrees with their placement of some of the books and took it upon themselves to correct it.
The bookstore is their favourite place in town and they really don’t like any kind of change.

I know that you've already done it but would it be possible if you did more coffee shop prompts? Or give some prompts on entering inside the coffee shop?
Coffee Shop Prompts
Dialogue Prompts
"Do you come here often?" "I work here, so what can I get for you?"
"I will not drink whatever you just ordered for me. That would be considered torture under the Geneva Convention."
"Why would you come to a cat café if you're afraid of cats?"
"That is enough caffeine for one day, I'm cutting you off."
"You can't just connect your phone and change the music, just because you dislike my playlist."
"That is the worst way anyone has ever spelled my name."
"Yes, you can sit here, but I'm not a small talk kind of person, so don't try."
"I'm not getting paid enough for this." "You say that at the slightest inconvenience." "And I'm always right."
"So sorry I spilled your coffee, let me get you a new one."
"I've never seen so many people here." "Well, we have Wi-fi and we have air conditioning, the people love us right now."
Text Prompts
The place is always packed when they get their daily coffees, so even though they start off as strangers, they quickly decide to always share a table because they are both here every day and the first one there reserves a chair for the other one.
The morning shift starts at 5:30 and one of the workers can always be found singing and dancing around the café before opening. They say they need it to wake up properly.
The coffee shop has a very limited selection of tea and they still need ages to decide what they want.
One of the baristas has a crush on a customer, but is too shy to say anything or even serve them, so their colleague takes matters into their own hands and write little notes on each of the customer's orders, hyping their shy colleague up to them.
The baristas are bored and start planning their career as matchmakers to get some of their regulars together.
They're not really trying to listen in on their customer's conversations, but their argument is just hilarious.
It's like a game between them, the customer orders an outrageous drink and the barista writes a very bad pick-up line on their order.
The owner of the café has their own band and when they're in they exclusively play their own songs.
They really want to close the coffee shop up, but first they have to wake up the one customer who fell asleep on their table.
Their newest hire is academically way too overqualified, but they never worked in the food service industry and it definitely shows.

Coffee Shop AUs
I’m a regular at this coffee shop, but they always get my name wrong. As the names get more outrageous, I’m starting to think this is on purpose
Who is responsible for the music in this coffee shop, because I want to have a talk with you
I own a cat café and you never really talk to anyone when you’re here and it seems almost rude, but the cats all seem to love you
Everyone has their personal breaking point and if you cut in front of me in line today, I will definitely break something
We have a sign that says “Give your barista a smile” and you really take this to the extreme and while I act like it annoys me, it always makes my day to see your weird grimaces
There is a big storm outside and yes, we were all warned, but some people have to work and now there is this group of people starting to make this small café their own for the next couple of hours till the storm eases up or we get rescued
The couple at the table between us keeps talking very loudly about the most outrageous things and we exchange glances from across the café every time they say something new
You’ve been a regular at our café, which specializes in very aromatic coffees, for months, always ordering tea, and I now find out that you hate the smell of coffee, and we all really like you, but why don’t you just take your tea instead of sitting here for hours and talking to us baristas?
Giving baking classes after closing hours has really helped my coffee shop financially, but it’s also a struggle when people come by who should be nowhere near a baking oven
You’ve been coming in for weeks now and it seems like you only want the wifi and all the employees are starting to make bets about what you’re always typing on your laptop
We’ve met online and you keep suggesting meeting up for a blind date at the café I work at, and does this mean I probably already know you if you’re a regular there? Because you can’t be one of my coworkers, right?
I need a specific book from the library for my thesis and I see you in the campus café using it as a laptop stand
Our boss definitely just hired the new guy because he’s their nephew, but now it’s my responsibility to keep this chaotic idiot under control
The coffee shop I work at is like a queer hotspot, but I don’t want to assume with you, and I’m afraid one of these days my co-workers will just ask you, because I keep going on about you
Some people can’t have regular milk because of health issues and I’m starting to get really annoyed, because people keep switching it and the plant-based milks up
We open up at six in the morning and you’re always already waiting in front of the door at 5:45
You have really bad taste in coffee and one day I’m going to refuse to make this abomination
The owners don’t allow animals in the café and I can’t help but notice that your jacket is making noises
You’re a regular at our coffee shop and you’re normally punctual like a clock, so excuse us for getting worried about you, when you finally turn up
It’s one of those really slow days and we’re two employees and just two customers on a date here and we already cleaned everything twice, so we’re starting to get really invested in that couple’s relationship

New Year's Dialogue Prompts
“A toast to good luck, good sex, and good health.”
“Will you let me kiss you?”
“Let’s ring in the new year with style.”
“We should definitely do this again. Maybe in the new year.”
“All those fireworks and you’re only looking at me?”
“Let’s dance into the new year!”
“Will it be bad, if we just missed the countdown?”
“Let’s go outside and watch the firework.”
“The new year will be ours.”
“What’s your New Year’s resolution?”
“I’m definitely not drunk enough for this.”
“We should go back. I can already hear the countdown.”
“I can’t wait to kiss you at midnight.” “Why wait?”
“Tomorrow I will definitely stop accepting drinks from strangers.”
“My horoscope told me I would meet the love of my life next year.” “Then let’s meet up again after midnight.”
I wish all of a you a good start into the new year and a blessed 2022!

New Year’s Eve Prompts 🎆
Their friends dare them to kiss a stranger at midnight and they are just tipsy enough to actually do it.
The party was great but now it’s time to find their way home, in the middle of the night in the freezing cold in high heels and a party dress.
Learning other people’s weird New Year’s Eve tradition is always fascinating but not always fun.
At first they thought it was the firework but then the knocks on the door became louder.
She never thought watching billions of Euros going up in colorful flames and loud noises could be this romantic.
They were so distracted, they even missed the clock striking midnight.
It’s the morning after a wild New Year’s Eve party and there are quite a few regrets.
Spending the New Year’s Eve on a boat and watching the fireworks go off on the shore is a once in a lifetime experience.
With the pandemic, New Year’s Eve parties have to be a little different this year.
It’s a couple minutes after midnight and there were already a couple resolutions broken.
When the new neighbor tests their firework a few days early, she wants to protest. But they are kinda cute.
I wish you all a happy new year!

Can I ask for some fluffy prompts during a winter couple holiday?
Please always state what kind of prompts you want. It makes it easier for me to come up with them and then it's more likely what you were looking for.
Fluffy winter holiday prompts
window shopping in small towns
visiting cute little Christmas markets
strolling down narrow alleys filled with lights
drinking hot cocoa in a small café
buying handcrafted souvenirs
sending beautiful postcards to their loved ones
hiking through the snow
going sledding together and ending up in the snow
warming up in a bathtub big enough for two
cuddling, wrapped in soft blankets, in front of a fire place

Omg I LOVED the Life and Death dialogue prompts, so may I please have some scenarios of things that the two would do together? As always, please take care of yourself and have an amazing day 💗
Aww so happy you enjoyed them! I was actually a bit self-concious about them when I posted them. 😊
Life and Death - Scenarios
watching the humans together and trying to figure out why they do the things they do
playing fate and playing out stories with them
betting on their lives and their deaths
guessing what happens next if they are invested in a particular storyline
celebrating together when one of their favourites is about to pass away, for one it's a farewell and for one it's a welcome party
together thinking about all the new life that can come from death
Hope you enjoy these too!

Some meet-in-a-bar conversation starters and topics?
Basically A and B are just drinking by the bar and bonds
Thanks!
Don't know why they turned out so flirty.
Bar Conversation Starters
"Never seen you here before. Which makes sense, since I've never been here before."
"I need some positivity. Tell me one good thing that happened to you today." (+ "You're not allowed to say meeting me.")
"This day was awful. Care for another round? It's my treat."
"Have you ever had any of the food here?"
"I love to find out the stories about how people end up at a bar like this."
"Your drink looks good, what's in it?"
"I hope you don't mind me asking, but are you from around here?"
"Oh, I love that shirt, I have the same one."
"The game's going awful. I don't know why I'm still doing that to me."
"I've read that book before, it's very good, you'll love it. But that's all I'm going to say about it, otherwise I'll spoil you."
"Two lonely people sitting in a bar... sounds like there is a joke in there somewhere."
Topics to talk about:
the drinks
other patrons
their outfit (perfect, if it's unusal)
something they have with them (a camera, a book, etc.)
hobbies
hometowns
jobs
the game on TV
what they just did
what they are doing after
Have fun!

So I’m writing a fan fic about two best friends, and I’m trying to think of ways that they can spend time together, but I can’t think of any platonic activities /: and how to maybe bring them from that to an emotional connection? Please help 🥺
Hi :)
Platonic activities could be quite a lot of things, especially between best friends. I could give you some things that are normal to do with friends.
And do you mean an emotional connection between them as best friends? Maybe you can write me again, what exactly you mean and I give you the list of activities now :)
Platonic activities for friends
take a walk and talk about everything and anything
go swimming
run an errand together
go to the park and have a picnic
play games
go the movies and buy your favourite treats
visit a museum
go to a bookshop and pick books for each other
dress up and then go nowhere
bake cake and eat it right out of the pan
go to a café and drink a tea or coffee
do a movie marathon with childhood favourites
go to a concert of your favourite band
declutter each other’s wardrobes
hold a yard sale
work out together and motivate each other
go to a drag show or a play
cook for each other and judge each other’s food like you’re on Top Chef
play video games
go to the zoo and point out the coolest animals
Hope you like them!

Forbidden Romance Prompts (x)
The company is known for wanting their employees to be competitors, not friends. Fraternization would look really bad in front of HR.
A curse makes it impossible or hurtful for one person to touch the other.
It’s the biggest trial of the year and the whole world is watching. They can never know how much the defense attorney and the prosecutor would like to be on the same side for once.
Their families had a feud going on for so long now that they were sure no one knew the original dispute anymore. Going against their own families was a tough decision to make, but they made it together.
Sparks are flying between the children of world leaders just when their countries come up on two sides of a trade war.
Forbidden Romance: Royalty Prompts (x)
She had learned how to be a queen that was loved, a wife that was respected, and a role model that was admired. But she had never learned how to be a woman that was desired.
He had sworn to love and protect the crown and the country he served. But his love for the queen could jeopardize it all.
She never understood why she wasn't allowed to fawn over the cute kitchen help just like her maids are doing.
They were just innocent glances and soft smiles. No one could suspect anything sinister to happen.
She liked her husband. He was a good man and a good king. And she thought she could be content with that.
The royal children grew up playing together at boring banquets the kings invited each other to every year, but now their kingdoms are at war and they are supposed to show that they can lead the kingdoms in the future.
He didn’t want to feel those things he felt, but no matter how hard he fought against them, his feelings for her just grew stronger.
In the end, a golden cage is still a cage and she wanted nothing more than to break free.
The princess and prince meet each other and it's love at first sight. Unfortunately it's the day of the betrothal between the princess and the prince's brother.

Hello! Do you have any tips about writing something with 'honeymoon'?
Hi :)
Honeymoon
on an average 7-9 days
most of the time right after the wedding
but can be later if it fits the couple better
can be a vacation at home or abroad
depends a lot on the couple’s means, vacation days from work, their interests
usually much more romantic than everyday life together, but also depends on couple
while writing a couple on honeymoon think about their budget and their interests
some are more into a lazy beach vacation and some want an adventure roadtrip
some want to be in a luxurious hotel and some want to be in a little cottage
some couples do not want the same kind of honeymoon and need a compromise
Have fun writing!

hello jana! would you have any prompts for exes to lovers? i'm quite obsessed with that trope at the moment.
Hi :)
Here are some prompts for the trope!
Exes to Lovers Prompts
Having broken up, but still living in the same area they keep running into each other. At the park, the grocery store, the laundromat, … everywhere.
They are still in the same friend group and they want to make it work as friends. But hanging out all the time makes it hard to get over each other.
Person A moves to another apartment and finds some of Person B’s, their exes’ stuff while moving and the former lovers meet up for the first time since the break-up to exchange the goods.
While not having adopted it together, Person A’s pet becomes miserable after Person B stops being over, so finally they have to arrange for a meeting in a park, like two divorced parents.
They are still each other's emergency contact. Which becomes apparent when one of them ends up in the hospital.
Having their car breaking down by the side of the road is bad enough. Their ex being the one to come save them is even worse.
They had already booked everything for their friends' destination wedding before they broke up. To celebrate them and not lose their deposits they decide to still share the hotel room.
Person A’s family still invites Person B to all of their family events. And Person B actually goes.
They bought tickets for their favourite band’s concert one year in advance. It’s been a few months since their break-up and they believe the emotions have calmed down a bit, so they decide to still go together when the time comes. But maybe they don’t have calmed down that much, when their song comes on.
They know each other best. Even after their break-up their ex is still the first person they want to call when something good or bad happens.
Hope you enjoy them!
- Jana

Hi! Could you give meet uglies and cutes that takes place in public transport?
Hi, sure :)
Meet Cutes/Uglies: Public Transport Edition
the only place for their luggage on the train is the overhead bin and they struggle so much that someone gets up to help them
one of them has a ticket that allows another person to ride with them, so they invite a random stranger to use their ticket, requirement for this is that they have to stay together for the whole ride
an engine failure is the reason why a 100 people get stranded at a little train station in the middle of nowhere, all trying to find their way home
sitting next to each other on a long bus/train ride and starting to talk about anything and everything
the train has a two hour delay and they start to bond over their annoyance
it's rush hour, the bus is completely full and the only way to not fall is to cling to the person closest to them
sharing a taxi, because they need to go to the same place
calling the conductor on the train, because the other one is sitting on the seat they booked and doesn’t want to move
there is nothing worse on a train, then when someone close by starts to make really loud phone calls for hours on end, talking about private issues without shame
it's their first time on a ferry, but it's the only way to get to the other city and sorry to the other passengers, but they get incredibly sea sick
almost as bad is when the person next to them starts unpacking their food and it's probably yummy, but it smells a lot and they will tell them that
the rails are being repaired, so they have to use rail replacement buses to get to the next train station, but they have to work together to find out how to get there because there are no signs and nothing makes any kind of sense
when the bus makes a sharp turn they suddenly find themself on the lap of a stranger
their seat neighbour is watching a Netflix show with subtitles, so they start to watch too and get invested
I'm using public transport daily and I have a love/hate relationship with it. I've just come back from a trip where the train was late for 2 hours and there was no AC at over 30 degrees. Still love to have the option to just go anywhere without having to use cars.
- Jana
PS: Schienenersatzverkehrshaltestellen (rail replacement coach stops) in Germany are notorious for being difficult to find and hard to navigate. I definitely met other frustated and lost people like that before.

Blind Date Dialogue
"Why do I feel like you look disappointed?"
"Is it too early to show you pictures of my fur babies?"
"Hopefully you're not a serial killer. I promise I'm not one either."
"I really don't know why my friend set me up with you."
"So both of our friends think we can't get dates on our own."
"To be completely honest, you are not my type."
"I'm sorry for being awkward, I don't usually do this."
"My last blind date left after five minutes, so we're breaking records here."
"Have you ever been on a blind date before?"
"Our friends must have thought we would click."
"Since this is not going horribly, do you feel like getting a dessert?"
"It's a bit awkward to be on a date with someone who my mother picked out."
"Nice to finally meet you. My friends have told me absolutely nothing about you."
"To be honest, I don't really have any interesting hobbies. Do you?"
"I don't like surprises. So I'm very happy to be able to plan our second date all by myself."
