honestly i really love talking about the reason i love so many forms of media, but i don't have an outlet for it, so this is it! if you wanna see a trans gal just endlessly bark about her favourite music, movies, games, and literature, i'm right here :3c

idk how to tag this i'm just reblogging it
You are VERY cool and you have an amazing art style and I really wanna learn more about your art and lore I'm just too scared to ask!!
You know what you really should fear? That damn creature who slashes people in Saint Expedite, that freak is scary as hell. Like, I've never saw it, but it a tall dude wearing armor, with heavy breathing and a huge sword came to me talking in another language I'D BE SCARED AS HELL.
(I tried to doodle him, it was like that if I don't remember wrong).
Tumblr media
I've heard stories, no they were more akin to a memoir from someone who had to dealt with a near death experience, AND I MEAN IT. I remember his first year in the city, we really thought that it was some kind of cryptid or just a myth, but no, HE BEAT UP A GANG, like FIRST WEEK, he just showed up, tanked shotgun shells, crowbars and stabs like it was nothing, he pierced a dude's heart with his sword and didn't killed him, JUST TO SCARE HIM TO THE POINT HIS NOW GIVING TED TALKS ABOUT OVERCOMING TRAUMA AND A LIFE OF CRIME, I mean that's really good for him, but imagine being stabbed in a way that you simply decide to turn your life around.
The only time I even heard of someone taking down the bat was that Santa Claus wannabe, I mean that dude is built like a brick house, and some say he can turn into a demon, makes sense to me that only a crazy bastard could take out that freak, but in their rematch apparently the bat won, it has been a while since I've heard anything about Saint Krauser, God he was terrible but he did some nice stuff, I just hope he's not in some wicked place like Dendocrinide. And I don't even want to talk about the blood moon stuff, WHY THE HELL FOR A WEEK THIS GUY BECOMES SO DAMN AGGRESSIVE?????? He can make a week become PEACEFUL by fear alone, one of my buddies tried to do just a simple break in, just a small saloon from an Italian lady. WE DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW HE'S STILL CAPABLE OF WALKING, the bat beat him up to a pulp, it felt like a personal attack, that lady must be paying him for protection or some stuff.
He's the one that scares me, I don't want to walk in the streets knowing that I can be probably take to an alley and suffer from severe head trauma.

as i'm trying to write a story that takes place in a world-wide setting, these kind of subtle things, no matter how silly they might seam, are quite important
Add realism to your fantasy stories by having characters from different backgrounds struggle to pronounce each others' names.
"My name is [low guttural sound] but I don't want to hear you butcher it. So you may call me She Who Arises With The Cold Mountain Sun."
"...Is that what your name really means? All that in just one word?"
"Yes. If you stress the wrong syllable it comes out as 'She Who Coldly Wakes Up The Mountain Sun', or 'The Cold Woman Who Wakes The Mountain Sun', and you will not call me that."
"Oh, huh. Could we just call you Mountain Sun, for short?"
"Hmh. It's boastful, almost bordering on blasphemy, but it is flattering. I accept it."

no GENUINELY it doesn't
the one thing i'm continuously told- in varying formes and varying levels of complexity- is that i'm "bad, but not bad enough"
i've been depressed in some forme or another since i was 8, and diagnosed since i was 15, and NOBODY even extends an arm to help?? idk how many doctors i've gone to that have suggested the same group therapy i've already gone to, and even when asked to do something else, they just suggest the same group therapy again.
today, as i've developed early onset arthritis (i think? it makes the most sense considering family history but it's hard to tell) i just cannot get a diagnosis. i can't get ANYTHING
i'm in varying levels of pain every single second of every single day, sometimes i can't even have a conversation with someone while i'm lying in bed because i can't hear anything other than the pain
but i can still walk with a cane, and i'm still young! so i can't be that bad, right?
as a severely mentally ill 14 year old, I remember thinking “the medical system would treat me better if I was physically ill and not mentally ill” and then I coincidentally developed multiple chronic illnesses and found out that actually they dgaf even when you’re essentially bedridden

I'm coming to realize how vital it is to keep a running list of shit you did in the past few weeks so that you can participate in small talk. It's literally not anything to do with them being interesting at all it's just having Something to say to give people even the barest thing to hold on to. It's so you don't get into the "what have you been up to" "nothing much what about you" "yeah same" trap. Literally just say something.
What have you been up to? Um well it's getting warmer so I've been having to brush my cat every day.
Like no it's not that interesting of a thing to say. But now they can respond to it. They could say, man yeah it really is heating up, I've been trying to think of things to do inside more often. Or, oh you have a cat? What's their name?
Like. It's Something. All you need is Something. And if you're like me and your brain immediately goes blank upon entering small talk then keeping a list will help you remember things to say.

every time I mention how many days sober I am I appreciate people congratulating me and telling me to keep up the good work. it is nice. but I also wish that milestones in addiction recovery weren’t still so pinned to length of sobriety/abstinence
yeah yeah I’m 50 days sober who cares. how about the fact that, when I do drink, it tends to be nipped in the bud after two days nowadays instead of weeks or months? how about the fact that drinking has been condensed to a six pack because I’m at the end of my tether, instead of browning out every night? how about my friend who has decided to stop drinking alone, and is actually sticking to that? recovery doesn’t always look like sobriety and I wish it was more normal to talk about that. yknow. when addiction is normal to talk about at all

GENUINELY, it's difficult enough to defend my existence already without it being made more difficult :((
Mfs be like "stop using intersex people to defend trans identities" maybe come up with an argument that isnt immediately proven wrong by the existence of intersex people
