“Thank you.” Raphael continued to massage Gabe’s shoulders. “It wouldn’t do to let the messenger of Heaven run around as tightly wound as a spring. You deserve a chance to relax a bit.”

Raphael had been spending most of the day in his room in the medic center of Heaven, doodling. It had taken some wheedling of one of the medic angels, but he had gotten her to let him go to the temple for his evening prayers. He couldn’t walk, but he didn’t let it stop him from what he wanted to do most of the time. Being so much closer to the ground, though, was quite a different experience. He knew that he missed the freedom of walking, but he kept up a hope that he would one day walk again.

On his way to the temple, he made a stop at a quiet place…to rest and reflect on everything that had happened. It had been terrible that Zadkiel had gone so long without being detected, but he felt that he should have known something was up with her. If there was one thing that Raphael at least respected about Lucifer, it was that the fallen angel had never been afraid to look Raphael in the eyes.

Things seemed to have spiraled so far out of control…it was nice to have a quiet moment. If only it would last. If only Michael and Lucifer would swallow their Father-damned pride and just SIT DOWN and talk about things, instead of reaching for the sword and fighting. So many lives had been ruined already…what was the point of ruining more?

Perhaps…peace was what Raphael would pray for. But for now, he would give this struggle his best and support his brothers in any way he could…which, at the moment, was not very easy. Raphael watched the lower-ranking angels flutter about overhead, and let out a sigh.

“A giant demon cat?” Raphael quirked an eyebrow. “Well, if she has turned you into a giant cat, then perhaps Michael should focus less on the Apocalypse and more on giving Gabriel a much needed day off.” Raphael told Lucifer. “It’s alright. I can understand needing someone to vent to, and I can tell you’re worried about the girl. I’m sure that she’ll be alright. She has you keeping an eye on her, after all.”

Raphael was pleasantly unaware of Lucifer’s presence until the Great Adversary himself fell onto the (slowly) recovering healer of Heaven.“…Lucifer.” Raphael acknowledged him. “…It is not that I am displeased to see you, brother, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could get off of me.” The pressure on Raphael’s healing body made it ache and hurt. “It is most uncomfortable.”

“I do not know.” Raphael shrugged a bit. “Perhaps it is a joke being played upon us by Father.”

“Unusual indeed,” he said with a small nod of agreement. A soft hum escaped him as he thought for a moment, “This is a rather odd situation… Though I am curious how we may come across an answer to such a question…”

A smile lit up on his face as he read over the text as a blush dusted over his cheeks. Quickly, his thumbs moved to respond. “I love you, too. I hope you’re day is going well, sweetheart. :)”

Feeling much better today! I’ll work on my replies later on, this afternoon or this evening. :)

Feeling a bit nervous, though. I hope it’s just the storm. >_<;; I posted a rant on my personal page, that I basically summed up as “Can sins ever truly be forgiven?” (I used to cyberbully someone, and while she’s forgiven me, I don’t think I’ve ever truly forgiven myself, and sometimes the little voice in my head reminds me that I liked being a bully, that it made me feel good, AND I TRY TO TELL IT TO SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE THAT FEELING WAS FAKE. I try to be good. I want to be a good person...I’m not that girl anymore.)

I’ve been RPing Vincent Valentine for a friend, and his character offers me a chance at some introspection THAT I DON’T NEED but it happens anyway. I feel unsettled and uneasy and I really hope it’s just the rain and that nothing bad happens because I’m going out INTO the storm with my mother.
