Episode 3: Mary's a traitor and break's john's heart Sherlock is shot and nearly dies John is toyed with by Magnussen Sherlock shoots someone in the head Sherlock is (essentially) sentenced to death And Moriarty is back The moral? Don't trust Moffat when he's being nice

Since the pilot, the show has been about family. Then they find their long lost brother, Sam physically pulls him into the pit, and Dean lets Death just leave his soul there to rot.
