My first confirmed fake profile from Tinder

When confronted with the reverse image search was unmatched.

Did not discover the reason for the fake profile.

Photo reverse search found to belong to Kim Ilagan in both Facebook and Instagram.

This person claims to be a single mom and profile says 27yrs old. When asked where she lives she states Davao, Tagum. Two photos were deleted from the viber chat before I could get a copy. None of this information comes close to Kim Ilagan's information and can be ruled out as being authentic.

This is another case of identity theft and fake profiles in filipinocupid. The problem is I am sure even more than I have even seen.

I am almost finished on that site, I may decide to keep at it and find more fraudulent profiles or take a break.

Claims to have asthma and needs money for medicine and to get a doctors clearance for her work. This could all be very true but it could be a scam also.

Regardless of their pleas for help there is no way to guarantee it is not a scam.

It is a real shame that filipino's have put such a stigma of doubt because I am sure there are real people that do need help. It is up to everyone to make their own choice to help or not but just be warned.

Unable to determine if these are stolen photos or not. Unable to determine if it is a scam. However, a dating site is not the place to solicit money.

The profile photo has been reverse searched and found to be used on other sites.

In chat the person claims that Jackylou is her name and Lili is a nick name.

When confronted about the fake profile photo I was blocked from the profile and from skype.

I had already reported the profile on filipnocupid before I was blocked hahaha.

I really dislike these fake profiles it makes it too hard for good people to find a trusting relationship.

Profile name: Jane678

Claims to have a Canadian Visa, but it is a poorly photoshopped one. A two year old with an ipad can do a better job. The water mark of the original visa is still visible and says Jane Osomo. The person claims to have $200 of the required airfare and needs help for the rest as well as a place to stay. When asked for the first page of the passport that the visa belongs to there was no reply.

When asked to provide a facebook account name, the reply was did not have a facebook account but could make one.

A photo reverse search found the passport style photo to be in a Twitter account belonging to a @janarahbella. There is also here in tumblr a @janarahf-blog . The pictures to be of the same person. A facebook search turned up several accounts with the same person as being Janarah Fox. The origin of the photos used to make the fake profile is one of these sources. I have contacted the twitter of @janarahbella but there has been no reply.

Lets put a stop to these fake profiles

Explained her dream was to have a house and land in the Philippines. Her mother owns a small store and she used to work as a makeup sales lady but does not work now.

Claimed could not do videocall because she did not have any prepaid cellphone loads. She was using just free viber data. Which is maybe possible. When pushed for any names of people that could verify the photos she gave names of a foreigner Amith Anderson and a Maxine Cruzz, she provided photos. No trace of either person could be found in Facebook. I did find her Facebook account but there is nothing going back past this year. Locations of residence in the profile is Alabel on Island of Mindanao. The facebook account says living in General Santos City. Contacted another person in the friends list of the facebook account. His reply was he believes it to be fake person and or account. I believe the pictures are real but they have been stolen to create a dating profile.

I was able to get the person on videocall. Even though saying they could not videocall they did use the same viber number to videocall with. The person at the other end did look similar but it was not the person in the pictures. I tried to get a screen shot but they ended the call before I could do it. I did here someone in the back ground giving instructions to the one in the videocall. The one in the videocall clearly could not speak english when I asked "who are you?" there was no answer. In chat the answer was clear trying to claim to be the one in the photos.

This is one of the most elaborate fake profiles I have encountered so far. Going all the way to even make a fake facebook account. I do not know the end game of these scammers because I dont have the patience or the time to take it that far.

Just know if you see these photos in any online dating profile it is 90% chance it is a fake profile.

Lets put an end to these fake profiles and identity theft.

Voice call confirmed there was a woman that talked but did not show the video cam. Claimed to have video cam or connection problem.

The images were reversed searched and found them on another website.

This scammer has showed up again on the same site filipinocupid.com using a photo from the owners facebook account. Patricia Ailyn Duran is the owner of these photos and she assures me she has never created a profile in any dating site (Yeah why would she need to, she is stunning, she does not need online dating period, end of story)

Claiming to be a beauty pageant contestant from the Philippines. There is a contestant named Patricia Ailyn Duran. This identity thief was using all the photos off this persons facebook account to pass them selves off as genuine. Claimed could not be contacted in fear of being kicked out of the pageant.

I contacted Patricia Ailyn Duran via her facebook and confirmed the identity theft.

This would have to be the worst case I have seen so far. Using the identity of this person could cause real damage. I have passed on all the information I have to the real Patricia.

Watch out for this scam, don’t be fooled. They even tried to edit photos and put a piece of paper with the date on it when I asked for it. VIDEO CHAT is the only way to confirm identity if they claim to be another person.
