Okay so I don’t have much time, but the thing for me about this scene is how vulnerable Louis looks, we’ve known forever how he felt nervous on stage, the lack of confidence, but actually watching it on their last performance is a whole different thing, especially because of how open he is about it. And that’s my general perception of the whole film, by the way, he looks so young when he’s vulnerable like that in those moments with Helene, but at the same the way he deals with it is incredibly mature. It’s obviously a film about Louis, so it’s from his perspective, but I find it so interesting the contrast with Harry, looking anything but vulnerable in this one scene in the bathroom, he has his walls up taking his big frowning face to a whole new level, very aware of the camera. But he kept looking at Louis like he was the only one in the room who understands how nervous he is, and that’s where we see he was vulnerable as well, somehow looking even MORE nervous and broken than Louis. And fuck…. then he hugs Louis like it’s nothing?! It’s not a big meaningful hug after their performance, which is not what was expecting AT ALL, it’s *before* their performance and there was literally no reason for him to hug Louis at that moment besides pure comfort. For both of them and just for half a second like they fucking do it all the time, just because he was leaving him alone with Helene for 10 minutes, just because they were too nervous. The lack of meaningfulness makes it SO intimate, not sure if they even realised they were hugging each other there?! And then they go up on stage and they’re the only ones who didn’t hug, but the first thing they do is look at each other and Louis does a huge relief face 😮‍💨 at Harry. And the contrast between how they act on stage compared to behind the scenes is massive, but it’s still so consistent, because there isn’t the physical reinforcement but there’s so much comfort in the way they look at each other.

Plot twist was Jackson aka Harry's godson he has his name tattooed on his arm aka Cal Aurand's son being backstage with Freddie. I saw Cal and recognized him as someone that worked with 1d but forgot his name until Louis said something like Cal and Aunt Jen to Freddie and remembered Cal and his wife Jen were so close to Harry back then that Harry got their sons name on his arm in huge letters lmao but yeah he is the other kid Louis is seen playing with bts and that is with Freddie running around. Jackson also had a sign for Louis but I couldn't read what it said but it was written in the same colors and shapes as Freddie's sign so either they did it together right before the show or they are somehow related/friends and someone did both of the signs for them lol

Do you have the whole clip before the Larry hug and a bit after? Harry looks so tense before and keeps looking at Louis and then after the hug when Louis sends Helene to the bathroom, it sounds like he goes to the door to ask for a handler to call Harry for him. It sounds like he says Harry to whoever is outside the door.

yeah so basically it's their last ever performance and oli talks about how everything was subdued backstage and they all hug each other and then they leave louis to do vocal coaching with helene and then louis pops out of the door and i guess he asks how long he has to which harry replies 15 mins

I see speculation about the end of 1D going around and without seeing the doc I can’t comment on it, but I would encourage everyone to seriously think about the circumstances they were facing in 2015 & 2016 and what the toll of continuing would have been on them individually. I believe Louis when he says he didn’t want it to end, but that doesnt mean circumstances didnt force their hands.

I agree with you so much about H and hiatus. it was pretty obvious they were ALL exhausted and I think it was implied before that this was something they were discussing for a while. ppl just like to assume it was H bc they want the drama

The year is 2023 and people still insist on that and it is exhausting. Not to be a bitch or shade the others, but Harry was not the one who left, he was not the one who started his solo career first, and to be quite fair, he’s probably the one who brings up 1D the most nowadays. So people need to suck it up and admit one person alone didn’t ask for the hiatus. Harry was extremely upset under the circumstances Zayn left, so I highly doubt he would be the guy bringing that up and “forcing” the others to go on a hiatus. I don’t think Harry was doing great, Liam was clearly not doing great, Louis was being fucking stubborn and probably getting himself into some deep shit. So I mean, thank god the hiatus happened?!
