A now former boys basketball coach at the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy in Bryn Mawr has been entangled in the federal corruption trial of several Philadelphia police officers now that he has testified that they robbed him of his drug profits in 2007, three years before he worked at the school.

Radnor residents have every right to expect that our Township’s elected officials be held responsible for their own words and actions. Thus, when Commissioner Higgins privately directed Solicitor Rice to create a new policy limiting public comment and the use of video cameras, Higgins should expect to be held accountable by the public.

Some residents had opposed allowing the farmer, Richard Billheim, to continue to use chemical herbicide and pesticides on crops since the land is now part of a township park and they are concerned about the effects on human health and the environment.
Karen Stark, a resident, told the board they have “the authority to be good land stewards” however, it is “clear chemical agriculture will be used.”

Members of two groups supporting the right to carry firearms in parks said Sunday they intend to file a lawsuit against Lower Merion Township and an attorney is demanding criminal charges be brought against township officials, for what they say is a clear violation of state law.
