“I thought they’d run out of business?” Which would be no surprise given the ridicilous name. They didn’t even serve french food nor sausages. They served primarily seafood, lasagna, and several soups.

“no, not that one, that’s a terrible restaurant. they did run out of business, which isn’t really surprising.” she explained, cooking all the while talking. clara found it amusing and refreshing how they were olanning a date in such a relaxed way.

“the one next to that. it’s owned by a friend of mine and it’s usually very quiet. i promise, you’ll like it.” she knew how he was, and wanted him to enjoy the night with her. “alright... time for food.” she served his plate, handing it to him.

Alec listened to her. “I am only agreeing to this because it is you. If it was anyone else, I wouldn’t have come.” He said. It wasn’t that he didn’t like people. Ever since being here, he felt like an outsider. Well, he was. But he still got looks. That was why he didn’t like people around that often.

“i feel quite special, if that’s the case. i know you don’t like our small town, alec, but not everyone is out to get you. so come by more often, at least get out of the house.” she asked gently. clara knew he barely got out unless it was for work, and she was set on changing it. “even if you want to leave town for a few hours, we can drive off somewhere.”

it was a very off-brand romantic moment for the pair. it wasn’t usual for them to be standing so close if there was any danger, but here they were, and clara couldn’t help but lean in, noticing that the other wasn’t backing down from it either. so she temptatively pressed her lips against the other’s in a soft kiss.
