The Legend of Zelda main shields (1986-2013)

Many of these shields appear in different games, with various designs. I picked the main ones (almost all of them, except some from minigames or non-cannon games) with designs from different games. Started Twilight Princess!

Tackled an escaping goat. It started doing the walk of shame back to the ranch. I walked up to it and a 'pet' button showed up!!! I clicked and Link pet the sad goat!!!!

It seems every iteration of Link has had their fair share of awkward moments throughout the games. Sadly, Link still can't catch a break, even in fanfiction.

The Legend of Zelda: Fate's Design

Here's a moment where Twilight Princess Link deals with a crazed fan named Tilanya.

Tilanya was standing there, her eyes widening at the sight of me. "Am I...d-d-dreaming?!?!" She stammered. "Or is the hero really at my friend's house!!??" She squealed while jumping up and down. She finally calmed herself slightly. "A-are y-you r-really h-him?" She tripped over her words.  

"Who?" I smiled.  

"L-l-l-l-" She struggled to finish my name. She gulped. "Link?" 

"Yes, that's my name." I held out my hand. "It's nice to finally meet you, Tilanya." I grinned. 

"HE KNOWS MY NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She squealed again, and then promptly fainted at the doorstep. I just sighed out of amusement.  

"Tilanya...?" I said loudly while standing next to her in an attempt to wake her. "You can get up now." 

She opened her eyes and looked like she was going to go into cardiac arrest when she saw me. "You're still here?! This isn't just a dream?!"  

"No. It isn't a dream. This is reality." I held out my hand to let her up.  

She giggled stupidly as she grabbed my hand. I helped her stand up and she...hugged...me?!?! This girl has NO boundaries! I thought in my mind. "It's an honor to be in your presence, Sir Link." She said to me while she curtsied.  

"You don't have to use formalities with me; I prefer not to have them used." I answered. "You can just call me Link."

Link's POV

Fado spoke but was cut off by the sound of a goat bleating. We all looked in the direction of the sound and saw one of Fado’s goats running loose... "Goddamn it, Seymour!" He yelled. "This is the third time this week!"

................

Seymour was prancing around happily, preferring freedom over the confines of a fence. Fado looked so defeated. "We'll take care of him, Fado!" Talo yelled out as he jumped up from his seat. Colin jumped up as well, and they nodded to each other, running in the direction of the pesky goat.

"Ah..." He sighed with relief, putting a fist to his forehead momentarily. "Thank you, boys! I'm sure glad you're both skilled enough to help with goat herding now!" He put his hand on my shoulder. "I'll bet it's nice to not have to do it as often!"

"I don't ever mind helping you, but it is nice to have help!" We both chuckled.
