Do you ever stop and think about The Endless. Because I do. (My MC was a guy)

Imagine after so many years The Endless FINALLY got to see their friends. Talk to them. Hear them speak directly to him. His friends that he loved and missed so dearly. That he spent centuries trying to save and protect. But... they didn’t love HIM. They loved MC. They didn’t see him as their friend. They saw him as a stranger who looked like an old version of someone else they did know and love. Imagine how difficult it would have been for him to see his friends and then have them not even trust him.

Now imagine him seeing MCs love interest interact with MC. Whether it was Jake, Estella, Sean or Quinn. Because we know that whoever you date and then marry in Endless Summer, is supposed to have been your love interest in all the timelines. Meaning that The Endless probably also loved MCs love interest and probably still does. But they could only watch as the man/woman they once loved with their whole heart loved someone else.

Now think about how much lonelier he was on that beach as he was fading away
