it was easy to detect the young male was deep in thoughts. there was something on his mind, something that consumed his entire being and making him unaware of anything surrounding him. even when she had asked him something, he had not known what she had uttered to begin with. her lips would curve sympatheticly when at last he noticed. he hadn't felt like himself since the night of the full moon. but, perhaps that was because he was no longer himself. lucas had changed that night. the memories of excruciating pain remained firmly seated in his mind, the feeling of every single bone in his body cracking, his skin tearing, his entire form morphing into the shape of a wolf, one that tore against chains, one that was hungry, that wanted to kill. that night, he had become a danger to every single person he cared about, and strangers too. lucas didn't know how to go on, how to live with the thing that he had become. but.. it seemed he had no choice. while alice din't know her past. she truly believed her family had been similar or hoped to have been similar to her family now. while she couldn't look back on it, she did however treasured what she had now. Their bond was uncanny, not even the most difficult of times separated their family. It was a bond like no other. He knew the pestering was in good faith. "I suppose so, you aren't wrong there." He admitted with a chuckle. "A kitten?" Edward could not prevent himself from rolling his eyes. "Was this the final straw for him?" He joked in a teasing tone.

the touch of his hands upon her face, the tender kiss upon her head. it were all her weaknesses that jasper expertly used to his advantage. her body responded naturally to these matters by needing even more. alice couldn't remember a time in which she ever desired anyone or anything more then she did with jasper. jasper gazed at alice, his heart swelling with love for this remarkable woman. her words resonated deep within him, and he nodded gently, his hands still cradling her face. "i promise, darlin'," he said, his voice soft yet resolute, leaning in to place a tender kiss upon her forehead, his lips lingering for a moment before pulling back, his eyes never leaving hers. "you're my whole world, alice. and if you ask for anythin', even the world, i'll give it to you."

alice could not hide the fact she enjoyed pestering edward from time to time. still she would most definitely help him out whenever he was in his melancholic moods. from time to time she feared he would be the one flip his switch. seeing him in such high spirits makes her feel more at ease. " i would never ... only when you deserve it. " alice would match his chuckle with a cheeky wink. " he is out and about. even i suffocate him a tad bit from time to time. perhaps it has something to do with the kitten i brough home. "

He could not resist the chuckle that fled his lips, knowing him and Alice were too alike for good. "See, you tell on me, I tell on you, it's how it goes." He eld his hands up in defence, a smirk creeping onto his lips. "Where is Jasper?" He was used to them being joined at the hip.

watching the hustle and bustle of her mother felt like watching herself in the mirror. alice tended to keep herself busy most often, it gave her the energy she thrived on. " do you need any help? "

Esme should have known that it was one of her children, she smiled to herself hearing the others voice, she let out a small breath and tried to think "just close up and probably head home for the night sweetheart." Esme continued to clean but looked at Alice with a smile on her face.

forks had been one of her favorite places they had resided in. the quiet mundane life surrounding by the abundance of beautiful nature had been one of her fondest moments. even though they had spend quite the decade there, it was quite the lost to leave it behind once again. alice hoped that one day they could return again. " we are a family that likes spending time outdoor. we hike and camp a lot, certainly when the temperatures are rising and the sun comes out. my father is an advocate for spending time in nature and maintaining healthy habits. " it was also the time they went hunting and fed most often. having such an abundance of forests makes it easier to hide away from the world and your true nature. " i am very curious to know the history and even more about you. we all have stories worth telling about and i have already established yours would most certainly be sublime. "

Maeve listened intently to Alice's words, her curiosity piqued by the mention of Washington. "Ah, Washington, the Evergreen State. I've heard it's quite beautiful, with all its forests and natural wonders. What took your family there?" Her tone was warm and friendly, a genuine interest in Alice's story shining in her eyes. "As for Beacon Hills," she continued, "it's a small town with beautiful landscapes, charming neighborhoods, but it's got a history, you know? A history that runs deep beneath the surface, just like many places." Maeve paused for a moment, considering how much more to share. "But, well, it's got its share of quirky and interesting people too, like me." She grinned playfully, leaving the conversation open for Alice to dive deeper if she wished.

the tender touch of his hands upon her cheeks awoke a frenzy inside her of longing and need. if it weren't for her undead state, alice would reveal her frenzied state more easily due to heat spreading through her body, flustering her cheeks and quickening her heartbeat. the devotion reflected in his orbs of eternal azure brought her flutters each given time, making her need to protect him and cherish him even that much bigger. even when she wanted something as mundane as a kitten, she would give it all up for him. " i am happy to hear that, but i also want you to know that if that ever changes ... please do tell. we will get through it ... together, always. " the fear of loosing him or for his switch to be flipped once again was always there at the back of her mind.

jasper studied alice's eyes, so full of love, concern, and understanding. he gently cupped her face in his hands, his thumbs stroking her cheeks as he looked deep into her eyes, his piercing blue gaze reflecting his affection and devotion. they had not spoken directly of such things...but jasper knew she was longing for something more, something new. he just was unsure of what it was. if this was some small gesture towards it...well, he wished to support her. "darlin', i will always be behind you on everything. it will just take...some adjustment."

alice would raise her hands in innocence and defense as if to say she wasn't going to comment on his whereabouts. she already knew edward wouldn't be listening to anything she had to say. " i wouldn't dare uttering a single word. although, i already knew you wouldn't listen. just had to say that. " while alice wasn't the type that sought out violence, she knew how to defend herself better then most others due to jaspers rigid training regime.

"Don't give me that look -- you are out here too, even under such a curfew." The vampire teased, smirk reaching his lips. He was not easily scared by wolf kind, despite the endless feuds they had endured with them in the past. Edward, however, was intrigued by his new environment and would not let the full moon stop him on search of answers. "Hypocritical much?"

settling into the new town was always a challenge, but one alice quite enjoyed doing. alice always loved getting involved with all the events and figuring out what made people tick. it seemed to be a bit harder on her mother and therefore she sought her out a little more then she often did, just to be sure she was alright. Esme let out a breath, she had heard the stories of this town, but she still had decided to bring her children here for a new life. She had gotten a job as a bartender, and was currently cleaning up after a messy individual had left and she was closing up for the night, knowing that there was a curfew. She was in her own world thinking about her kids, not noticing someone had walked in, she finally sensed someone was there "we are just closing up" she responded and looked up at who it was.

alice always needed to be hesitant about what she did share of her story to strangers. while most people had the best intentions, sometimes they would find things out they shouldn't. " i have never been there, what is it like ?? " alice had called many places her home and was going to name many more. deep down she had a desire to live a life more mundane and easy. " my family and i have traveled to many places. washington was our last destination. "

Maeve returned the smile warmly, appreciating Alice's friendly demeanor. "Likewise, Alice. It's nice to meet someone who values the beauty in the world. I'm originally from Mystic Falls, but I've been traveling quite a bit lately. How about you? Where do you call home?"

" it were the simple mundane things like these that made alice the happiest. what edward said next made her mood turn for the worst. she understood what he was saying, yet she had hoped she was the only one with the feeling and therefore could ignore it like it wasn't happening. "I imagine so , but I think snow is the least of our worries." He was concerned for what was to come, and his families place in the town of which he knew little about. Normally, he felt prepared to relocate to a new place, and know its quirks , but this time he felt out of place and lost.

" you must admit, the winter has its appeal. certainly fashion wise it is a great season to get all the knits and layers out. " alice knew edward could be a quite all doom and gloom. still alice knew better days were ahead for edward, even when he wasn't quite believing in it yet himself. "You can tell winter is approaching, these dark nights are certainly here." He turned to face the other, weakly smiling whilst I gently cradled his coffee. He was making an attempt at normality. He did not tend to blend in well, normally being seen as different or obscure. However, he was keen for a fresh start and did not wish to jephodise that.

alice knew very well this was asking a lot of jasper. it was going to ask a lot of his self control and while more commonly she wouldn't push his boundaries, instead she would try to avoid any and all temptations for him. she still had the secret hope he was feeling more in control lately and therefore could move on to the next step. if he was capable of doing this, they were one step closer to exploring a life of their own, just the two of them. " i just ... are you sure ?? i know this is quite sudden. I don't wish to do this unless you aren't behind this. " sometimes alice wondered if she was pushing her wants and needs above those of jasper. she knew he did everything in his power to give her what she wanted, but sometimes she wondered she was giving him enough as well.

"are you....are you sure?" his words were hesitant as his gaze flickered over the love of his life and the...kitten in her arms. but looking at her passion, her readiness to fight had the vampire sighed, her wide, doe like eyes crumbling his resolve before he could even try and argue. taking a small step towards alice he cocked his head to the side, assessing the animal in her arms. he thought little of animals, considering they were suppose to be their alternative to human blood it seemed surprising to him that alice cared so much. though, it was very much like his beloved. "alice," he began, his tone gentle, "i know you care deeply...it's one of the ways in which you saved me." he reached out to touch her cheek, his thumb caressing her skin softly. "and you know i will give you everything in my power. if that's...a kitten, then...so be it."

big bold hazel eyes observed jasper when he came into her orbit. they were like stars colliding into each other with a burning love that could light up the skies. the need for a domestic life together with jasper had been growing, fueled by her need to have him all to herself. perhaps it was her unanswered undying wish in her heart that provoked her actions this evening. her mothers heart could not bare a dying kitten all alone in the dark with no one around to rescue. alice doubted jasper would be happy to watch over a stray.
