Ok i know we're all hung up on Johns Big Gay Bonehouse
But can we please all acknowledge how fucking funny it is that the thing that confirms the giant scary crustation city is Yorick is him going
"Here is an incredibly important piece of information i totally knew at the time of relevance and just did not mention because no one asked me to"
And John and Arthur both looking into the camera and going "YEP THATS OUR YORICK!" like a fucking sitcom?
Even as a city sized eldritch horror Yorick continues to be the funniest mf on cast.
#I hate to say he's probably my favorite character#I screamed when I heard “master” through that garble when yorick was revealed#rapid fire texted my friend who is not in the fandom#he's just so funny#possibly life saving and incredibly relevant information?#sorry guys#you gotta ask me directly#I CANT#I'm normal I swear#malevolent#malevolent yorick#malevolent 54#malevolent podcast

ok but John kinda insinuating that Arthur doesn't love him back?
he says, at one point, that he would be fine just chilling with Arthur. no more running, just enjoying what time they have together before Kayne clears the canvas.
Arthur cant, he has to keep going.
"would you stay if you were with your daughter. someone you love?" PARAPHRASE PARAPHRASE PARAPHRASE kinda saying that Arthur doesn't love him? kinda saying that he isn't worth settling down for? he called Arthur his best friend and partner, yet feels Arthur doesn't love him the same because he wont stop for him? and probably cus of the "I never should have opened that book." "my book?🥺" thing in 52
idk that's just how I saw it. I was cooking while listening to the episode and had to turn the stove off so I could pace and rant to thin air 💞

you have no idea how much I yearn to put on a performance of The Wager (song) on stage in front of a large group of unsuspecting people.
we have the orchestra, we have 4 actors as the gang. it starts with the four on stage alone with a piano right by the curtain, the scene is right when Kayne is asking who Arthur will give the stone to. to set the stage and all, cant have an argument without the why.
As Kayne is talking right before the music, someone dressed as Arthur quietly walks across stage and sits down at the piano. the curtain rises to reveal the orchestra. the scene continues with the little battle about waking/killing Azathoth with the song starting and stopping as it would in the episode.
it ends with Kayne killing Lillith, his evil little "how could you do that to me?" Arthurs "oh god" and the stage goes black.
what I think would be extra lovely about this is that the costumes don't all have to be the same. these are all different Arthurs, so the people in the orchestra can wear how they see Arthur and it would work perfectly especially if they aren't all identical. I just ughhhh. you have no idea how much I yearn for something I can never have
also, for some reason I thought people were calling the orchestra the Orthestra, but I cant find any proof of that so I had to like, rewrite all three times I mentioned it. lmk if I'm not crazy and that actually is a thing

"Why do I hear music?"
"Is it boss music?"
"No. No, it's... oh no."
"What?"
"It's 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'."
"So?"
"Do you not understand what that song means? Everything is about to go incredibly wrong at an accelerating rate."
"Aw, how bad could it be?"
"We are standing in a kitchen! A big industrial kitchen! Do you know how much shit in here could kill us in the event of a Murphy's Law style cataclysmic chain of events?"
"You're just being HOLY SHIT THE OVEN BURST INTO FLAMES!"
"The music is still ramping up! RUN! EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF!"

maybe this is a hot take given how many opinions I've seen on the contrary, but I think Caine likes Zooble. there I've said it.
sure, he likes the others too, Kinger probably the most, but he seems actually close to Zooble. in his own special way.
they don't want to be involved in a lot of the adventures, and Caine just. lets them. He spends one on one time with them. They don't want to do the adventure in episode 2 and Caine IMMEDIATELY tries to sell them on it. like, no time in between. Then he gets frustrated and shoves the rest into the adventure when Zooble walks off.
Caine specifically makes the adventure in episode 3 for them. like, took personal time and effort to make it cool and entertaining just for Zooble, and kinda looses it when they aren't even there. he even made a rout only for them. he's trying. kinda reminds me of a dad trying to engage with their distant teenager. he's excited to show them stuff and seems to express genuine emotion around them that's not just the wacky chaos character.
the suggestion box is used for adventure ideas because Zooble brings it up. Caine uses the box again because they didn't hate the fast food adventure. Zooble does weird poses in the box with Jax and Pomni during the intermission (I think its the favorites box) and even breaks Caine out of the intermission frenzy. the evil Zooble in e5 reminds me of their therapy session. they say "jokes on you, I've already forgotten what you're talking about" kinda like how Caine forgot every time they told him their issues. Zoobles turn at bat is the only one Caine is really awake for and announces, even though that was very much not a home run. Zooble is still thrown into situations like everyone else, but I still think Caine still favors them

I cant tell if I like the idea of the crew living their separate lives or sticking together better after they get back to earth.
either way, I think they would have this tradition where they perform their own version of the whisky speech. they buy a bottle of scotch and whisky that, much to his confusion, no one lets Eiffel drink. he gets juice or smth
it starts the same, probably by Jacobi most times. I like this scotch and so on. but in the middle it transforms into everyone sharing little anecdotes about their time in space, or on earth. about the past and about those lost. Maxwell, Kepler, Hilbert, even Eiffel in a way. just a little remembrance ceremony. happy or sad or maybe just neutral stories. there's probably a few tears shed. it was a pretty traumatic time. maybe sometimes they take a break from the past and talk about how life has been kicking their ass and how much things have changed.
it ends with someone saying something like "long story short, I like the feel of it in my hand" or "and to keep a long story short, you were nice to have. But nothing more than that." and pour out the rest of the bottle.
after a few years it changes into more of a celebration than a ceremony. they're still remembering the horror of it all, but now maybe its more of a joyful time to hang out with friends and share food instead of a sorrowful one.

I have a headcanon that when arthur and john first separate, john walks with a limp because he's used to only using one foot.
#I think he'd be left handed too tbh#same reason as the limp#he's only used to the one hand#john doe malevolent
