Have you seen K21??!?!??

Just saw, seeing those pictures was like a gut punch that I havent felt since those pictures of Dipper during his last day.

I had really hoped that the SRKWs being gone for so long meant they found a good good source and were doing better.

This was certainly a reality check.

For those who haven't heard, during the Southern Residents brief visit today(7/29/21), K21 Cappuccino was seen severally emaciated with a collapsed dorsal fin and struggling to keep up with the rest of the pod.

He's a favorite of many and it is truly heartbreaking to see him in such condition.

J46 Star is no longer pregnant

This breaks my heart. Star lost her calf. There will be no Star baby this year. I’m really hoping that she’ll have a calf at some point. She’s only 12, she has plenty of time, but that doesn’t stop the hurt, the pain of knowing we lost a little star. 

We’re so sorry Star. May your baby be with your mother and brother until your time to join them.

Who are some of your favorite whales and why?!

J38 Cookie - I've loved watching him grow up. Honestly all the J22s are my faves which isn't many these days. His brother J34 Doublestuf was my all time fave and I miss him so much.

Lolita/Tokitae - She's the reason I became the anticap I am today, her story breaks my heart

J46 Star - Another story that breaks my heart, the pictures of her trying to save her brother will never fail to bring me to tears. It's crazy to think she's going to be a mother soon

L115 Mystic - He was the first orca I adopted when he was 1! He's 10 now, they grow up so fast!

L118 Jade - Jade's my middle name so I got attached lol

Corky 2/Orkid/Ulises/Kalia/Keet - Back when Shamu cam was a thing in like 2012 I used to watch these guys all the time quickly grew to love all of them so much
