Grapecatte/Grape (she/her), Sorrow's Furnace [NA] Grape.8415. Just a trio of humans, a bunch of salads, a fire-obsessed charr, and an asura who loves explosions. Follows, likes, and asks from wisdomisadumpstat

I am curious why the Asura in this now destroyed city of Thaumanova wrote all over their structure. Pretty much every wall in this place has this scrawling.

Been goofing around with some more Guild Wars model-ripping shenanigans and noticed that the "Corrupted"model of Trahearne is actually the same mesh as normal, just a few baked morphs here and there - but it's mostly a texture difference.

After some technical cleanup (vertex order, my nemesis) I was able to merge the two models as blendshapes, then a simple mix-shader was set up to handle blending between textures. And now, we can all watch him heeaal (ʘ‿ʘ✿) ehehaha!
Bonus: Canach mocap is done too, yayay!!!
(I had an explosion effect to the side, but me computer kept crashing trying to render it so just use your imagination X3c)

guild wars 2's story is largely a middling rpg plot, like 5/10 and 7/10s across the board, it doesn't do anything too special or deep but it has decently engaging characters and the accompanying world design makes it fun to play and see what happens next. and then occasionally it spends a grand total of 2 seconds focusing on something so fascinating and so engaging it knocks my socks off. and then it never touches on that topic again. and this is how it has single-handedly made me lose my marbles

do charr have to take flea and tick medication like cats and dogs do. or heartworm pills. do you think charr parents try and hide their cubs' pills in pieces of cheese and thinly sliced meat only to have them eat around the pill and spit it out.

There are some irritable asura to the south. Inquest, I think they said. They wanted "volunteers" for their experiments. When we denied them, they called us what I'm sure they considered unpleasant names. -Valliant Ashgren
The Inquest straight up asking to experiment on the Sylvari stationed in Mount Maelstrom, and then called them slurs when the Sylvari said no 😩

I wish trahearne had lived not just because I love and miss him but also because imagine if he was around in eod for the introduction of the Harbinger. He could say something like "act with wisdom... BUT ACT." and then whip out a gun

I know that we typically frame it as 'Rytlock fucked up because he trusted a human (god)' but can we talk about the angle of 'a human (god) taking advantage of the kindness of a charr'? Can we talk about how Balthazar, the most human of the human gods, viewed Rytlock as something to exploit for his own gain? How the human gods viewed Tyria as something to exploit for their own gain? Do you think the charr treated the first humans with kindness, understanding the crucible of war and extermination, only to be met with a betrayal so sound it left the charr and their culture beaten and broken? Sorry, I think Kalla Scorchrazor just possessed me.
