The Most Adorable Animals on Canvases
Many artists along with animal painters devoted their canvases to cats. The cats on paintings are released from all the conventions and show themselves freely. It's possible to see them in all colors and forms now. A cat there is free in its thoughts and actions. I’ve prepared some works of art to share with you, and surely they are related to cats. In my opinion, cats are the most adorable animals on the Internet. Let’s look at some cats’ portraits now:
Artur Heyer
Artur Heyer (1872-1931), was born in Thuringia and studied the art of painting in Berlin. He also lived in Hungary since 1882. Initially, Artur worked as a graphic artist. In 1906, he had his first exhibition, and five years later, in 1911, he received a fee of count Andrassy along with a bonus trip to the Netherlands, Vienna, and Munich. So, in 1929, he organized an exhibition of his works at the National Salon. In all, some of his paintings depict a white long-haired Angora cat that apparently is the same. Probably, it is an artist’s pet.
William Schimmel
William Schimmel Jr. "Schim" was born in the city of Tucson, Arizona (USA) in 1954. He taught painting art for many years. He painted in a mixed style with the use of computer graphics and the imposition of various special effects. William Schimmel’ works show his sense of the Universe, the Earth, and its inhabitants. In his paintings, there is a desire to teach people about how catastrophic the situation of many animal inhabitants on the planet is today. The paintings depict endangered and rare species of animals.
Bernard Kliban
Bernard Kliban is an artist from Norwalk, Connecticut, USA. He started drawing in elementary school. After two years at Pratt Institute in New York, he went to Europe and became an artist-hipster. Deciding that art is something better than working at the local post office, Kliban seriously engaged in the art of caricature. Besides, his first cartoon was sold to Playboy Magazine. Cooperation with the magazine made him a famous cartoonist in America. In 1974, the Studio Libana was visited by the editor of Playboy's cartoons and became interested in some of his paintings. They found them extraordinary and thought it could be an excellent material for a book. In 1975, "Cats" was published in the volume of 15 000 copies. Overall, both success and fame of Bernard Kliban were due to the cats’ images.
It is undoubtedly a pleasure to have a portrait of your pet! If I had one, I would order such painting. Besides, the cat portraits and paintings here are gorgeous. DocoArt is an excellent place to find different cat portraits of other artists too.

Take Me to Ballet
Ballet is an Italian word also known as ‘ballare.’ It means dancing, which is a form of dramatic art. It is also a play, the content of which is embodied in the musical and choreographic images.
There is a story with a deadly intent of the libretto at the heart of the classical ballet. In the twentieth century, a plotless ballet appeared with its drama based on the natural music development. The central types of dancing in ballet are both classical and character ones, which include folk and national dances. They have been revised for various ballet performances since the nineteenth century. At the same time, pantomime, where the actors convey emotions of different characters is also famous for its peculiarities.
It depicts:
- The "talk" between the dancers;
- The essence of what is happening;
- The grotesque.
Other techniques of dancing (especially modern and jazz), as well as elements of gymnastics, acrobatics, martial arts, are widely used in contemporary ballet, too.
Ballet as an Art
The evolution of ballet gets closer to sports while it loses its dramatic importance of the roles.
A comprehensive training of a professional artist requires knowledge of music history, literature and screenwriting drama. At the same time, children start to get gymnastic skills since the age of seven. It takes place since the ballets of the past demand hard physical training. Besides, modern classical ballet is based on that as well.
On the contrary, the “old” ballets were sometimes based on traditional topics, such as Charles Didelot’s production known as "Zephyr and Flora."
Overall, the more you read, the more you know, so go here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballet and find, which facts are real or not :)

Howdy? :)
Edward Tracy Dean from Boston is talking to you now :). I’m at the age of 25, single. I am a friendly guy from a big family. I do not have many hobbies, but they are genuinely different. You will see it now :).
First of all, I like animals as well as animals on canvases, I mean in art. I love them so much in life; so, I adore artworks with various animals. My favorite animal is a dog, and I had two pet dogs: Sarah and Bridge. I can't understand how people love cats more than dogs. I mean, dogs are friendlier than cats. Though I prefer looking at cats play. Nevertheless, I will never have a pet cat at home. I wish cat lovers wouldn't hate me at this moment! :)
Another interest of mine is ballet. It's extraordinary for a boy to be fond of such dancing, but it's true indeed.
