I am doing very well, thank you. Has work been busy after all, then?
That is good to hear.
Yes, it seems that there will always be work to be done. Not that I mind, of course... It just delays social interactions.

ANTA, I know you must be busy as of late, and I don't know if you'll get this message in time, but I want to tell you that I've managed to reach my first User birthday. If you have time on the 16th of October, I would be very happy if you could visit and join in on the celebrations! Even if you don't make it, I hope you are doing well and that I may see you again soon.
My, that is a landmark. Congratulations. I hope you are doing well. I will do my utmost to make room in my schedule.

The change will be...welcomed. I hope the city takes well to the new structure. Certain programs will most likely adjust better than others...

Because she doesn’t displease me either. Nor does her any of her family.
But, unfortunately, I have a feeling they would all displease the pack.

That does sound like...a very dramatic difference. There is little achievement in programmed tasks, I suppose. Not that programs don't work hard, of course.
It’s like… oh, Users… it’s like you’re updating, but you only do the update a few lines at a time. And sometimes the update you get only gives you part of what you need, and you can still access it, but there’s no result, so you have to wait for the rest of the update in order to do anything with the information. And then all of the updates, they make this net, that fits together with other nets at different points when they’re related. Some days you might realize that it would be easier to do something if the nets were connected at other points, so you do an update and that fixes the net so it’s easier to do and…
… does that make sense…?

That sounds incredibly tedious. How do you manage?
I think I understand. Once you were used to the mechanic and the rules surrounding it, it must have become easier to comprehend the more advanced techniques. It’s that way for me with… almost all things, actually, but I do not upgrade to gain the basics of the new skill. I have to learn that through study.

The differences between programs and ISOs constantly astounds me...
What is it like to learn?
All the more challenge for me, then. So it’s like… growing into your code, I suppose? Like using a function you’ve never had before.

He attempted to assassinate CLU and failed. It was a last-ditch effort anyways, very high-risk, and he was so blinded by his anger that he was taken out from behind by a sentry.
I recovered his disc after the fact.

If it would please you... In theory, I suppose that is a fit explanation. I was more capable of social interaction immediately after the update, but I did not gather, ah, subtle finesse until much later on.
I understand. Did the updates you received address that, or was your sociability something you gained over time?

That wasn't the only thing you did after the fact, I'm assuming? You've changed, NOV.

It was...a curious development, actually. Updates better prepared my system for such interactions, but they did not take immediately. It is difficult to explain.
Deductive you are. Notation was a priority, yes.

[Private] Now is most convenient, and the convenience level goes down after that point. This is a work matter and not a personal matter.
[Private] Immediately, then.
What is this work matter?
