Callused hands dipped into the stream as he sat beside it, rinsing dirt from his hand before bringing them up to drink from the collected water .Though Orzha had become used to spending most moments in his other form, it took effort to keep it every hour of the day. Breaks were taken sporadically, only for long enough to conserve before he reverted back.

The faint presence of a demon prickled at the back of his neck and he turned from the water, brows furrowing at the human that stood there. A growl rumbled quietly in the back of his throat as he stood.

“ . . . Orzha. ”

Golden hues narrow at the sight of this being, there was something– off about this one, his soul was unique.. a hybrid of sorts, how unfortunate yet so lucky for his kind to have meshed with such a sturdy form. Was this a  time to provoke questions? Curiosity is always something should pursuit as one can never know what it could lead to.  

‘ Your name? It’s rare to see Qunari around these parts. ‘

❝    are they?   i have not met very many of my own kind, so i cannot speak for those that enjoy fighting dragons. i, personally, prefer to avoid them. but i suppose you DO have a likeness to them. i’ve never seen any of your kind before. ❞

      “ Good. ” No matter what people thought of him, if there was someone willing to join because they sincerely wanted to help, he would welcome them. “ If you ever have any problems with me and my decisions, confront me directly. There are enough people saying things behind my back and I would prefer honest reactions than passive aggressive moves. ”

  “I see.” The former Knight-Commander exhales before speaking again. Such a circumstance had been… unexpected, but not as deterring to her motivation for travelling all this way as she wanted to believe. “You have an obligation to fulfill your duty, Inquisitor. I do not wish to turn away when there is work to be done.”

There were few times in his life that he came across the chance to talk to another Qunari, even fewer where he would even interact with them more than just talking. Though he does enjoy those moments quite well, too. A grin tugged at his lips and he nodded in response.

“ Quite often. People think I am talking down to them when I do it, but they don’t understand that my neck gets sore when I crane it to look at them. ”

It was no longer strange to be in the presence of another Qunari. His life as a Tal-Vashoth had gotten so much easier with the comrades he had made. The friends, he had made. The Inquisitor included. And well he had someone else to talk about his horns to. Or just size problems in general. “Do you ever find yourself having to bend down to talk to people?”

         “ That would have been a better benefit if corpses didn’t come up every time you tried to get something in the water. ”

         “I’m trying to think about one good thing that place had. I’ve got nothing. Good loot, I guess?”

                “ It’s . . . fine. ” The situation was honestly nothing to fuss about. His head shook as he looked to the other and arms crossed over his chest. “ Have you ever not been able to find her the times she has flown off? ”

              “OH THANK the maker; she likes to fly off sometimes; your horns make a perfect perch, so it’s natural that she flops down there. I sincerely apologize again.” Genevieve held on to Mimi carefully offering a half bow in apology. “I’ll try to make sure she doesn’t do it again.”

“I can handle myself."

               “ I’m not saying you CAN’T. ” The being was more than capable of handling himself. Had so for a number of years before the Inquisition came to Skyhold. But that did not mean he would just leave the other alone to himself in solitude. None of the other were making life there for the Being easy, so he decided to step in. He knew what it was like to be on one’s own and the other had been alone for so long.
