Yay! Convinient post to speak about these two again! 🥳
Tumblr media
My idea is that their sibling-like bond and affection is completely genuine in both sides, and that in a better environment it could have been actually healthy. But that's far from the case.
There's no healthy mentor-student relationship when the mentor's model of education is taking the student to be indoctrinated into a military cult in which only the strongest survive by becoming a cruel killer and loyal servant of an awful Empire. And that's precisely the model Reiko got instilled, the one he instilled on Carmilla, and the one she must be instilling on others currently.
I compared them to Silco and Jinx once, they have many differences but I think the 'spirit' is the same. It's a complicated relationship, so I hope I'll be able to write and explore it properly.
romance is lame and overrated i love mentor/mentee relationships in fiction and especially when theyre sort of fucked up

Ulima and Delilah (Picrew)
I used this picrew to make my OC Ulima and the OC from my friend @odie1441 Delilah (also mentioned in Ulima's bio, because their stories are related).
To be clear, they aren't a romantic couple of any kind, but they are a contrasting duo, so I thought this could be fun still.

Rasta! Tysm for your thoughts, I am super glad you liked the contrast of Reiko and Runa!!! 🥹
My Reiko is probably constantly reminded of himself or Runa when he sees war orphans, but his answer is most definitely telling them to use the experience to grow stronger or taking them to be indoctrinated into the Kahn Guard (like he was and he did with Carmilla), because even his concept of compassion is very twisted.
Also glad you like Carmilla's idea! She's one of my favourite children ngl lol. And a favourite among friends, which always makes me glad ☺️ And yeah, very good points about Delilah and her methods, they are most definitely not working as much as she thinks.
The idea of Reiko and Runa's magic color is great! I would definitely use it if I define well how the magic color works, I still have to work a bit in that aspect.
I always hear suggestions and I am glad to have them 💯 The idea of fusing Runa and Rui actually makes sense, and I myself don't discard it for now, it's just true that after developing this story for her character she has ended up being much more important. I'll wait to see if I can come up with unique stuff for Rui to decide.
Runa in my mind was in the range of 14-16 year old (for our standards) when she died, with Reiko being one or two years older than her, so yeah, you figured well! 👏
I hope to define Caan's story a bit more soon. I always love to work with obscure MK characters after all 😌
And yeah! Reiko has become one of the characters I enjoy to expand the most at this point, I think he can be a very interesting villain, especially if given more character close to him to interact with (which is why I have given him a super villain team of OCs). He totally deserves some love! ❤️🖤
More about Runa (Reiko's little sister)
Some time ago I wrote my bio for my version of Reiko, which was latter added details in this WIP. Among those details was mentioning that Reiko's family back in his home village, apart from his parents (who his current canon self already mentioned in his intros), his family also included a twin sister and a little sister. The latter was also mentioned in this other WIP, so I ended up deciding to give her a name and a design:
Tumblr media
And now I also want to give more details to her own character, so she isn't just a backstory little sis:
-First let's establish some names because I didn't do it while writing Reiko's bio lmao. Runa was born in the quiet, peaceful Outworld village called Fuko ('Misfortune' in Japanese, because I am as subtle as canon MK with names). She was the youngest child of two common villagers: her father, Ryo (a farmer), and her mother, Rena (a merchant). She had two older siblings, the twins Reiko and Rui.
-Since they were in a small community with no much to do, and there was a generalized fear among the citizens of getting caught in the middle of one of Outworld's many conflicts if they were too far from it, the family stayed together almost all the time, making them especially close.
-It's worth mentioning things weren't perfect, however. As mentioned in Reiko's bio, the philosophy Fuko's villagers followed, including Ryo and Rena, was complete obedience, kneeling down and accepting all their realm's Emperor dictated. They were motivated by their children's safety, since they believed it was the best way to keep one safe in such an small community which couldn't challenge the Emperor's authority at all, but it's a fact what the three of them were taught in their first years affected them still. Reiko is an obvious case of that, and Rui also mantained that philosophy until her last days. Runa, however, was a different case, as I will explain later.
-As they grew up, the tree siblings ended up choosing different kinds of work. Reiko became a warrior, member of Fuko's defense forces (despite them being considered not that necessary, luckily), due to the talent he had proved for it from a young age. Rui became a botanist, expert in studying potions and kinds of magic which could help for things like making gardens grow. Runa ended up deciding to become a healer.
-While the village in itself was peaceful and villagers suffering grave injuries luckily wasn't very common, a good amount of Outworld's Empire soldiers could end up there after a battle in nearby territories, full of injuries which could be fatal. Runa would have watched it as she grew up. Some of them may have been people who had no option but to join his realm's army, some may have been more cruel and selfish, but Runa saw the same thing in all of them: a person in need of help, a person she felt sympathy for. That's what inspired her to become a healer.
-Despite being young, Runa proved talented in healing magic. This kind of magic was based on accelerating or improving the natural process of healing in other people's bodies. It can take a certain amount of energy from the user, especially if they apply it to fatal injuries, but nothing dangerous unless it's used too constantly without time to recover between healings. Making use of it, Runa became quite beloved in Fuko's medical center, saving many lives during her time there. All her family members expressed being proud of her at least once. Reiko in particular has been stated to have gone to visit her at her job from time to time to tell her so, which she would usually answer with an smile.
-Her time as a healer made Runa even more empathetic. Seeing people's suffering while their lives were danger and how she could end that pain made her develop an appreciation for all kind of lives, a belief that life was always sacred. There were time when unknown wounded warriors, most likely rebels, stumbled upon the village asking for help. The citizens, scared for the repercusions doing otherwise could bring them, usually either ignored them or notified the Kahn Guard about their presence rather than helping them. Runa had done the forme more than once, and now, with her new way of thinking, she regretted it. She started offering those kind of people her help too, in secret.
-This fact was eventually noticed by Reiko one time, when he went to visit her at her job but didn't find her in the medical center. He discovered her while she finished healing a warrior, who was clearly not part of any of the Empire's forces. Reiko met with her after the fact, when the warrior was already gone from Fuko. He couldn't help but confront her about it, in part for his loyalty towards the Empire, but also, for the most part, for fearing the consequences it could bring her if it were ever found out by the Kahn Guard. All Runa could just answer is that she wasn't capable of letting someone die. They started a discussions which caused them to not want to know about the other from some days. Despite not being aware of what had happened, their parents and Rui tried to convince them to talk things out, which may have been about to work when their village was attacked. Reiko could notice the attackers, people who still fought in the name of the former Emperor Onaga, wore similar clothes to that warrior Runa had healed...
-During her time being forced to work in hard labor, despite the difficulties, Runa couldn't help but still try to look up for others, especially her family. She healed others in need for the injuries the hard labor brought them, constantly. Her family members, Reiko included, would have tried to stop her, noticing it was taking too much energy for her. But she wouldn't listen to them, and kept healing them when they were too exhausted to stop her. It may not have been the most sensible decision, but it was how she had decided to live, for others. At the end, her family's fears became reality, and her body wouldn't be able to take the effort anymore...
-Now, while Runa's life already ended, there are two impacts her life will have in my AU which are worth mentioning. The first, and unfortunate one, is the obvious impact her death (alongside the rest of his family) had on Reiko.
One of my OCs, Carmilla, is mentioned to be like a little sister to Reiko in the second WIP I shared in the same paragraph. While my Reiko, for all the bad things he is, does genuinely care for Carmilla as her own individual and doesn't just see her as a replacement for Runa, it's a fact that things related to her death affect how he mentors Carmilla.
Tumblr media
An aspect of my Reiko is that he refuses to accept that the tragedy he suffered was... well, just that, something unfortunate, an act of cruelty that shouldn't have happened. it wasn't meant to happen, there was no 'destiny', 'meaning' or anything similar behind it, but Reiko wants to give it one, the one he can give it with the new ideals he has adopted as the evil, ruthless man he currently is.
Reiko tells himself that the reason why it happened was due to weakness, to softness, to mercy. Had he been stronger and had he made sure his whole family, including Runa, were stronger, it wouldn't have happened. They would have been allowed to destroy the enemies who dared to challenge Shao Kahn's authority and attack their home instead.
Part of this way of thinking is shown in how he mentors Carmilla in the WIPs I have published about them both. He wants to make sure she grows stronger, so he would never lose her. In many ways, he wants her to be what he thinks Runa should have been. If his younger self once praised his little sister for saving lives, his current self now mentions how proud he is of his new little sister in arms taking lives from rebels.
-And now the second, more positive impact she had. If you are reading this, I hope I have made you think the warrior Runa healed was the one who caused their village to be attacked, because that's what Reiko believes to be the case. It's a logical conclusion, but he's wrong.
While said warrior was indeed a soldier and part of the remaining Onaga followers who attacked the village, he didn't tell anyone about the village, he actually tried to make sure the other soldiers he worked with didn't find Fuko as a sign of gratitude, but in the end he failed. They were already acting in the nearby territories, it was a matter of time the village was found.
I'll detail his story far more another day, but for now I will let you know that that soldier was my take on an MK character from the Malibu comics (one about Raiden and Kano), Caan, who's canon story I will share here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While his story will be different in my AU, you can be sure his redemption will still happen, and that he saved many lives after it. And said redemption would have started thanks to Runa's selfless act of healing him. Her life did have a positive legacy.
---
And those are all my ideas for now. It has honestly been a bit sad to write, it's what usually happen to me when I turn characters' death in other character's backstory into their own characters, but with their final fate still intact 😭
I would like to show an AU in which Runa is still alive after this. I already have one in which she would still be alive (I call it Eteneral Emperor Onaga, based on the premise of what would have happened if Shao Kahn failed to overthrow Onaga), but that will be for another day. For now, I would appreciate to hear any of your thoughts about this character of mine, they always help me and cheer me up! 😊
Also, I would like to tell @rasta-bot about this, because she mentioned me she loved Runa's concept. I just want to let you know you motivated me to write this, Rasta, so thank you! 🫡

Dorin Bio
Dorin was one of the younger Kreeyans created to serve as Queen Kreeya’s soldiers and help conquer the realms in her name. Dorin was very close to his sisters, especially those close to age with him like Lana. However, he always felt out of place in the female body he had that all Kreeyans were born with. He kept these feelings from Kreeya, as he thought she designed him this way for a reason and to express these feelings was to question his mother’s actions, which the cruel queen would punish.
From when Dorin was more recently created and still mentally a child, he had to witness many of his sisters being killed in battles because of poor strategic designs made by their mother. This was something he and Lana, who was another of the few survivors of these battles had in common, which caused the two siblings to have a very loyal bond. As such, Dorin was another Kreeyan who followed Karia in her decision to betray their mother when Fabir was invaded, leading to her death by Reiko’s hands.
When Fabir was merged with Outworld and Vorpax ruled over the Kreeyans, Dorin had the opportunity to learn more about gender and about men, who used to be unfamiliar to him, but were accurate to how he felt on the inside. Vorpax eventually caught on to this, and offered Dorin the means to magically transition to a male body. Dorin accepted, and after the process, he felt more like himself than he ever did under Queen Kreeya.
Unlike other Kreeyans, Dorin is currently aware of Lana’s rebellion against Shao Kahn’s empire. He keeps her secret, as he is very loyal to Lana after all they’ve been through together, and he himself isn’t fond of Shao Kahn’s rule. However, Dorin himself never wants to risk having to fight his sisters and turn on Vorpax too after her leadership and care improved his life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once again based on my friend’s version of the Kreeyans talked about here. He also proposed the idea of a trans man Kreeyan which inspired this OC.

Mom and dad's little soldier girl
Tumblr media
Arranad is just the ideal child of her parents. Her mother, Minerva, as the Kahn Guard veteran she is, trained her in physical aspects, preparing her to become a ruthless soldier from childhood. Her father, Sorak, being a pragmatic but also merciless leader of his village and a nerd in the worst possible ways (steals relics from conquered realms because he enjoys discovering about cultures, for example), trained her in intellectual aspects, teaching her to have her way with words and search for knowledge, but with the objective of having more ways of coming on top and step over others. Both taught her to be loyal to the Outworld's Empire ideals, and she ended up not just embracing those ideals as her own, but even surpassing her parents as a soldier of the Empire (has a higher rank and more authority than both of them nowadays).
Also, a bit more on the fighting style thing. Arranad, unlike most Tarkatans, fights using only one of her two arm blades at a time, and performs skillful and elegant movements that most Outworlders wouldn't expect from a Tarkatan (a mistake from their part). She can switch from an arm blade to the other during the fight or use both in key moments when she can take someone by surprise to perform more damage.
It would be her weapon fighting style if she were a playable character in the 3D Era (the name would just be Arm Blade), and it's based on Count Dooku from Star Wars (with all the differences that using an arm blade instead of a lightsaber implies of course).

Yay, Lana too! 🥳
Will also share here. Glad to present people the Kreeyan rebel sister! 💛🖤
I take the chance to comment that yeah, the versions of Tanya we use in our friend group are different from canon. I haven't come up with details for my version yet, though, but Lana will definitely be in my AU, and thank you for letting me use her, Ada! 😊
Also yes, Karia's sister and in a different side. It's going to be drama there. Let me share this other HF thing you made to show that, Ada:
Tumblr media
Lana Bio
Lana is one of the younger Kreeyans who agreed with Karia to surrender to General Reiko to save their sisters from Queen Kreeya's tyranny. After Vorpax took the throne, the young and naive Lana stood by her and her other sisters in support of Outworld's empire. However, things took a turn when Lana would be tasked with overseeing Shang Tsung's progress in learning Fabir's life creation magic.
It was then when Lana saw the horrors of the Flesh Pits, how different beings were created, imprisoned, and tormented into obedience. Horrifed after seeing this, Lana immediately attacked Shang Tsung to defend a skinless creation of his but Shang Tsung managed to subdue her and take her back to Queen Vorpax to tell her what she had done. As Shang Tsung left, Lana told Vorpax her side of the story, but to her surprise, her older sister told her that she shouldn't have attacked Shang Tsung and that while that sounded horrible, she was bound by a deal with him. This led to a heated argument between the two sisters, with Lana storming off in anger.
She later curiously explored the main parts of Outworld and saw just how flawed the realm really is. She then witnessed the Kahn Guard pursuing a woman in yellow and black, who was the Edenian Resistance member, Tanya. Lana was in awe of Tanya's bravery and strength while she defeated them and when she had to go back to her sisters, she dressed herself in Yellow and Black to remind herself of the brave woman she saw, and she now wants to stand against the Kahn Guard as well, but dreads the day she'd have to fight against her sisters.

This is an OC I made who’s connected to another Kreeyan OC made by my friend @apepthehero along with his version of Kreeyan lore, all discussed here.

Last line tag
Summary: Second of the three WIPs I wrote exploring the mentor-student (and sibling-like) relationship that Reiko and my OC Carmilla have in my AU. It shows the very first lesson Reiko gave her and how she became his direct student.
---
(It says last line, but I'll cheat a liiitle bit and share anything necessary to understand the last scene lol)
“Indeed.” said Reiko. He then told some of his soldiers to take the TaiGore to be cooked while he still spoke with Carmilla. “I don’t want you to think this will be easy, however, quite the contrary, I expect even more from you now. We will start your first session as soon as possible.”
“I will be ready…” said Carmilla, before feeling one of her wings being punched by him all of the sudden. “Ouch!”
Reiko smirked. What? He had said as soon as possible. “Hmm, you need to be a bit more alert. We don’t know anything could attack us, do we?” he giggled a little bit. “Disappointing first session.”
Carmilla sighed annoyed while holding her wing. “Maybe…” she rolled her eyes. “I promise I will do better next time.”
“I am confident you will.” said Reiko, becoming serious again while looking at Carmilla.
Reiko saw in her the learner full of potential he had been once in his younger years. He was glad she had just taken an important step in becoming the great soldier she could be. She just needed to take some more steps.

Dark Raiden was originally a fan concept?
Hello, there, anyone who happens to find this blog!
It's been almost a year since the last time I published something here, mainly because I have been busy with other stuff and I compiled the main things I wanted already.
Nonetheless, there's an incredibly curious fact I found which I wanted to share.
If we copy the official MK website link in Wayback Machine and go to a date like say 19th January 2001 (the one I used for this), we can find that the main page has a link towards a page dedicated to Deadly Alliance, or MK5 as it was known at the time:
Tumblr media
From there, we can click in MK Fan Fiction -> MK Fan Fic Character Bios:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After doing that, we find this list I will share complete:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, what calls my attention the most is that Dark Raiden (or well, Dark Rayden) is one of the characters proposed here by fans. Unfortunately his bio seems to be impossible to access nowadays, but it's just very interesting to see Dark Raiden is likely to be one of the many MK fan character concepts which made it to the games!

-Now, while Runa's life already ended, there are two impacts her life will have in my AU which are worth mentioning. The first, and unfortunate one, is the obvious impact her death (alongside the rest of his family) had on Reiko.
One of my OCs, Carmilla, is mentioned to be like a little sister to Reiko in the second WIP I shared in the first paragraph.

And those are all my ideas for now. It has honestly been a bit sad to write, it's what usually happen to me when I turn characters' death in other character's backstory into their own characters, but with their final fate still intact 😭

Also, I would like to tell @rasta-bot about this, because she mentioned me she loved Runa's concept. I just want to let you know you motivated me to write this, Rasta, so thank you! 🫡

An Outworlder from the village of Lei Chen who has always been interested in soul magic and has proved to be a young prodigy in her study of it. Things would take a turn when Lei Chen would be under the control of the Seidan Guard when she was a pre-teen.
Since then, Vivienne’s Outworld-unique type of magic was deemed too “chaotic” for the Seidan Guard’s authorities. She was devastated that she could no longer pursue her passion, so one night, she managed to slip past the Seidan Guard and escape the village. She then found an instructor to take her in and teach her more soul magic.
When Vivienne reached her teens, she had already become a very skilled sorceress and her mentor, who turned out to be a retired Kahn Guard mage, introduced her to General Reiko. Realizing the potential of an ally so knowledgeable in the mystical arts, Reiko offered her a position in the Kahn Guard. Feeling as though she was at an age where she should take care of herself, Vivienne accepted. Under a new mentor who encourages her to test her limits and be the most powerful she can be, Vivienne happily serves as one of Reiko’s most trusted mages and has worked her way to becoming Head Sorceress of the Kahn Guard.

Zelahnia Bio
As a girl, Zelahnia was among the few survivors of the massacre Shao Kahn ordered against the Saurian race and the annexation of Zaterra. As such, much like Reptile, she would be forced into Shao Kahn’s service from a very young age and brought in to be trained by General Reiko.
Among new recruits, Zelahnia was bullied a lot for her reptilian features, but General Reiko showed her the same respect he did the others, despite her species. This inspired Zelahnia to build her skills, eventually growing to stand out among the Kahn Guard after being able to best her bullies in combat.
Growing up as a soldier, her abilities in stealth earned her a position in leading the Kahn Guard’s scouts. Even now, with her knowing her people’s history and Shao Kahn being dead, Zelahnia still loyally serves the Kahn Guard under General Reiko’s guidance. Even though she only served Shao Kahn to keep her life, she is genuinely loyal to Reiko because of him helping her to be who she now is, and she believes Zaterrans will be able to thrive under his visions of how Outworld’s Empire should be.

Hello, Lais.
You really have turned it into a form, and it's awesome! 🔥💯
Now, for some reason I can't quote the original post (my Tumblr working weird). So allow me to quote yours to present my own not much appreciated MK character concepts in canon or the fandom that I am proud to be developing ☺️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Although I know for sure I am not the only one using their concepts in this vast fandom.
Raise your hand if you’ve adopted a unappreciated character that the writers clearly didn’t love and decided to love them with all your heart because they deserve more than what they fucking got in canon.

Emaru bio
A Seidan citizen, born in Bluetown. She lived with her parents and little siblings until she was old enough to enlist in the Seidan Guard, which she idealized alongside most young citizens of her realm. She grew to become like most Seidan Guards: strict, willing to enforce the Court’s laws without question, and fiercely loyal to the Guard’s mission to enforce order.
Emaru was yet another Seidan Guard who fought against Pod Lazek’s invasion of Seido (read here for more details). She spent most of the conflict acting in the defense of Bluetown, fighting horde after horde of Chaosrealmers. Despite trying to hide it, she was scared for her home, and especially for her family. All she could hope was that she, alongside the Seidan forces she admired so much, would be able to keep them safe.
At one point, Emaru and most of the Seidan Guards acting in defense of Bluetown and other parts of Seido were called to abandon the defense lines of their homes to protect the Court, which was going to be attacked by Pod Lazek himself soon. She tried to protest to her superior officer, arguing that doing so would condemn countless Seidan lives, but all she received in response was being told to carry out her orders without questioning. Despite her doubts, she did like all good Seidan Guards would and obeyed her superiors, praying to the Elder Gods that at least her family would be safe.
After the Seidan Guard was narrowly victorious in the battle against Pod Lazek, Emaru went quickly alongside many of her fellow Seidan Guards to check on the condition of Bluetown. A good amount of it had been destroyed when Chaosrealmers attacked, and many of its inhabitants were killed, including her family.
Emaru was devastated, consumed by grief and guilt. All she could think of was how she had abandoned her family, and how she had been ordered to do so in the name of defending order. The superior she had argued with approached her in the worst possible moment. They tried to comfort her, by romanticizing the death of her family: how she had done a noble sacrifice by choosing her duty over her family, how their ‘sacrifices’ would be honored by order still being imposed in Seido. Those words only ended up making her explode in anger.
Blinded by anger, Emaru ended up attacking her superior. It was just a single strike of her naginata, but it was enough. After receiving a deep cut in their neck, the superior died. Emaru then realized what she had done, and was horrified by it. But she had little time to think about it, since she was immediately arrested by her fellow Seidan Guards for this action.
Her trial was short, there was no future for a Seidan Guard who caused the death of another. She was sent to spend the rest of her days in a lonely cell of a prison as punishment for her actions. Through years of solitary confinement, Emaru developed an immense hatred for the government she had served. Defending it had cost her her family, and she had been left behind with no possibility of a second chance after her mistake. The strong loyalty she had towards it was quickly gone, replaced by an even stronger anger. All she could think about was how satisfied she would be if she could stab her leaders’ hearts, even if she had to do it from the very Netherrealm’s heart.
Emaru was freed from her imprisonment eventually, when a then younger and more inexperienced Darrius led his fellow members of the Seidan Resistance in one of his many prison raids, which were meant to obtain allies among the freed prisoners. Emaru didn’t think twice before joining a movement dedicated to fighting the Seidan government. She has proved an extremely useful ally of the Seidan Resistance since then, especially for the information she is able to give about the Seidan Guard’s tactics and how she can predict how they will act many times. Her case was the one which made Darrius see Seidan Guards suffering tragedies such as hers could potentially turn them into allies…
Emaru has been fighting alongside the Seidan Resistance for a long time. In that movement, there are many who genuinely wish to see their realm freed from an authoritarian system, but deep down she is hardly one of them. She thinks there’s no future for her, nor in the current Seido nor in what it could become in the future, not with her family gone. What truly motivates her is hate, against those who failed her and her family, the Seidan Guard and the Court. And for said hate’s sake, she won’t stop until being able to spit in their corpses, even if she must do it in her last breath.

And here we have another child of mine! 😊
I thought Darrius' method to recruit former Seidan Guards needed representative who actually joined the Resistance instead of becoming a mercenary, so here she is as that.

Also if you have noticed and you wonder, the Captain Ahab's references are actually a reference to one of my favourite villains, Khan from Star Trek. I recently rewatched the movie The Wrath Of Khan and I couldn't resist to reference it lmao.

Also thanks to this song, which is really fun.

Hey, Lais! It's alright, don't worry at all about taking time to answer, we all need our time. I myself have taken two days to write this because I get into kind of a shy/nervous mode when my work is praised and get distracted thinking how to respond lmao 😳 I hope you enjoyed Sandman! 😁
I am very happy to hear you liked it! 😊 I am officially a Kaliza fan, so I am super glad to do her justice!!! 🥳🥳🥳
Also yeah, Arranad (and most of my Kahn Guard characters) push their luck too far when mocking other people, they think they can just be bullies smh. It will definitely have consequences! 😤 In this case yep, the Umgadi Girls could end up beating up Arranad and her Kahn Guard buddies, which is fun to imagine lmao.
Oh, Arranad would hate being compared to Edenians, she would definitely start a rant about how she is stronger than them to Kaliza's delight 🤣
Kaliza would be right about Carmilla. Vampires are people in my AU too, with all kinds of people among them, many nice, peaceful ones! Carmilla is not making any favor to the image Outworlders have of Vampires, although fun fact about that: basically any Vampire, good or bad, straight up hates being compared to Carmilla lmao. She's considered a traitor for being in the Kahn Guard, so their reaction to being blamed for her actions is basically "Mf, I hate her too!". Or if I may take the chance to elaborate more:
Nitara: "Carmilla? Ah, yes, Carmilla. The one Vampire who serves the Kahn Guard, the very people who conquered my home, our home. The one who has cost our remaining rebel forces at least a couple of battles. The one who said to me, and I quote, 'You are fighting for a weak, defeated realm. Vaeternus got its inevitable fate when it refused to surrender to those with more power. It will only be when we willingly become part of Outworld's Empire that we will outgrow our weakness and earn a life of prosperity and glory'. hisses before breathing deeply to calm down. That Carmilla. Yeah, I totally support her, she's my best friend! 🖕"
(Beef 🤭)
And yes! I knew the contrast between Kaliza and Arranad would lead to a fun dynamic, and I am so glad we both have enjoyed it! 😌
Recently I spoke with the awesome Harumi Girl @laismoura-art about the Great developments she has made about her Umgadi Girls AU. You can all find details here (which I highly recommend, because Lais characters and ideas great! 💯).
I liked one of her characters so much that I have decided to try and make a Hero Forge model of her, that I wanted to show to her creator especially. Hope I have done her justice! 😁
Tumblr media
Also, since we spoke about how she and my OC Arranad wouldn't like each other, here are some intros dialogues about them beefing lmao. I couldn't resist, making these was fun! 🤣
Tumblr media
Kaliza: You can stop spitting your nonsense, I am not interested. I don’t need your Kahn Guard, I already have my friends!
Arranad: Given that none of them could prevent your banishment, their usefulness is rather little.
Kaliza: Hey, I am not letting you insult them!
Arranad: My village, Mireya, is prosperous in my Outworld.
Kaliza: Because you are a useful tool to a cruel Empire…
Arranad: Because we have earned our place in it.
Kaliza: Your family steals relics from conquered realms!?
Arranad: It’s the right of the strong to take whatever they wish from the weak.
Kaliza: … Your logic is sickening!
Arranad: It’s a shame. You could have been a great warrior.
Kaliza: I am already. You just want me to be a cruel one.
Arranad: Your naive ideals will always hold you back.
Kaliza: Wait… that Vaeternian was your girlfriend?
Arranad: sighs. If you try some provocation tactic by insulting her, it will utterly fail.
Kaliza: No, you are getting it wrong. I want to give her a prize, only a patient person could stand you.
Arranad: Your ideas are no better than a child’s dream, and are as coherent as the snarls of a HighEna…
Kaliza: And you are a dumbass. Long insults don’t make you clever.
Arranad: rolls her eyes. Let’s just finish this battle in silence.
Kaliza: The Empire you serve causes so many wars! Do you have any idea how many of our people must have died during them!?
Arranad: The weak among us have fallen, the worthy have risen. That way will lead us to glory…
Kaliza: To death! It leads you all to death!
Arranad: Many rebels I have encountered had your same ideals. All it earned them was a swift execution.
Kaliza: You are so proud of taking lives!
Arranad: Of proving their foolishness and my worth.
