Zarya X Reader

One of the wheels was squeaky on your cart as you wheeled it down the aisle looking back and forth at the various fake ghouls and witches that littered the aisles, trying to find anything hat caught you eye. As you rounded the corner you heard a scream and jumped back as you saw a wolf like face lunge towards you. “After a second if catching you breath you lightly swatted against the nose of the rubber mask.

“Zarya!” You lightly chided your girlfriend as she lightly chuckled. Once the two of you calmed down she began putting the mask back on the shelf “wait, keep it out” you told her and she looked back at you and grinned before dropping he mask in the bag.

This was the first Halloween you and Zarya would be spending together and you wanted to go all out. She looked through the cart at the various things you had picked up. “What are you looking for?” She asked as you began to move once more and resumed your scanning on he aisles.

“A skeleton, but not the cheap bag of bones that’s right here, I’m looking for a full sized skeleton” you explained, having intricate plans for decorations already.

“So like that?” She asked pointing to the end of the aisle where a full skeleton laid against the shelf.

“Yes that’s perfect!” You said racing towards it. After getting that the two of you headed towards the register. And once all the items were paid for you went to grab a bag but Zarya stuck her arm out barring you from them. “Allow me” she picked up all the bags and began heading out, but not before looking back at you at winking. You huffed out a laugh “show off”

Fictober Day 2

Mei X Reader

I was busy with my birthday yesterday so I wasn’t able to write anything, but I’ll write a second one today to make up for it!

You eagerly watched through the window as leaves began falling and joining the mass of them already in the ground. It was hard to see any of the ground from the blanket if the dead leaves and you couldn’t be more excited. One of your favorite things, as childish as it was, was to rake all the leaves and jump in the massive piles you created. It brought back all you favorite memories of fall and it was a good way to spend time with your girlfriend.

Just as you were thinking that you saw her walking down the stairs. “Good morning Mei!” You called to her and she groaned in response, never being much of a morning person. “You know what today is?” You asked her and she furrowed her brows in concentration trying to remember if there were any important dates she was forgetting. After a few minutes you finally couldn’t take it anymore “it’s time to take the leaves!” You said excitedly, and after that Mei grinned. While she didn’t exactly get the hype she knew how much you loved it.

And after an hour of getting ready the two of you headed out with your rakes in hand. The rest of the morning was spent doing that and eventually it was right around noon so the two of you could eat and take a quick rest before the real fun part.

After the quick lunch break you headed back out, “ready to undo all our hard work?” You asked Mei, and before she responded you took of dashing to the massive piles of leaves that had been complied in your front yard. As you getting closer you jumped off the ground and braced yourself for landing. And the leaves acted as the perfect pillow. But before long you heard another pair of fast approaching footsteps before you felt the the impact next to you.

The two of you just laid there next to each other for the next few seconds, and without looking over at Mei you grabbed her hand and you felt truly content and happy.

Fictober Day 1

Akande x Reader, this one ain’t explicitly fall themed, but it’s got hints of it here and there

Fall was probably your favorite season, the temperature a nice break from the sweltering heat of summer, the trees ablaze with color, it was perfect. And there was no one you wanted to spend it with more so than Akande. The two of you walked side by side talking and laughing and enjoying the season.

As you were eagerly telling him about all your plans for fall he listened intently, nodding and smiling along, happy to see you enjoying the season so much. But on the inside Akande was a nervous wreck, his hand fumbling around in his pocket for the hundredth time that trip ensuring the small box was still in it. The two of you had discussed marriage frequently, and both of you agreed you were ready. The only thing holding the wedding back was Akande’s nerves.

He didn’t know why he was so nervous, he knew he wanted to marry you and that returned those feeling but he just couldn’t do it. But he woke up this morning and told himself that today was the day. Of course that wasn’t the first time this had happened, but he felt it helped him gather some of his nerves. And now when he stopped mid walk, you grew concerned, not knowing what he was planning. “What’s wrong?” You asked him, clear concern on your face. And Akande shook his head

“Nothing just thought I saw a fox over there” damnit, he hesitated again. He knew the excuse was lame but hoped it was enough.

After the rest of the day spent out enjoying the weather the two of you came home and discarded your jackets before sitting together on the couch. You jumped up as you realized you were in the mood for cider and went to get both you and Akande a glass. Once he was left along he flopped down on the couch on his side, tired from the long, but exciting day. It was then he realized the lump in his pocket and his mind immediately knew what it was. Well shit, guess today really wasn’t the day then.

Within the next couple minutes you were back and Akande sat up to make room for you once more. You sat in quiet comfort not anting to turn the TV on to interrupt the moment, and as you were telling him about work the past couple days you looked over at Akande and realized he was completely passed out.

“Are you okay?” You asked him for the second time that day, but this time he didn’t brush it off. Instead he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. “Y/n” he started setting his lips as if to stall. “Will you marry me?”

     Genji and McCree had been dating for several months now, and they loved each other unconditionally, but both of them unknowingly agreed that something was missing. They never brought this feeling up to each other, afraid it would hurt the other’s feelings, but it would nag them consistently. 

     But one day the two were taking a walk together when they heard a man threatening someone for their money, they both immediately jumped into action and as they rounded the corner they saw a man with a gun pointed to a young woman. Not needing to say anything the two briefly looked at each other before springing into action Genji snuck up behind the man and before he alerted the man to his presence Jesse grabbed the girl to get her out of the way in case the man’s first reaction was to fire. 

     Genji quickly handed the man before joining McCree to make sure you were alright, But once he saw you, he was taken aback by how beautiful you were, and one look at McCree told him he felt the same. “Are you alright?” Genji asked.“Yeah, yeah I’m fine,” you said getting up and beginning to head home. “Wait do you want us to help you home?”. McCree asked. You turned around to once more face the two men. “Alright look, I get it: I’m a damsel, I’m in distress, I can handle it have a nice day,”

     A few seconds after you leaving Genji felt tempted to run after you, but before he could fully consider it he saw Jesse had already begun to he quickly followed him. When the two finally caught up to you Jesse took a moment to catch his breath and Genji took the opportunity to talk to you. “Would you like to go out to dinner with us sometime?” You looked at him for a second with a cocked eyebrow, curious where this was leading. After a moment consideration, you responded, shrugging your shoulders“I don’t see why not”. The three of you hashed out the details before parting ways. and once you were out of sight Jesse and Genji both knew that they had found their missing piece.

Hey Mod Mei! What’s your opinion on he/him lesbians? (I’m pretty sure I saw somewhere that you’re a lesbian if you aren’t please ignore this!)

I really don’t wanna get into too much discourse on here, but I personally identify as a he/him lesbian. At first I didn’t really understand what it meant but as times gone on and I learned more about my relationship with my sexuality and gender I realized that it’s what worked well for me. So I’m general pronouns don’t equal gender and he/him lesbians are 100% valid!

Get Some Sleep

This is a very self indulgent fic based on personal experiences, so I apologize in advance. Also I’m on mobile so the formats a little messed up

Zarya X Reader

You awoke from your dream drenched in sweat and breathing heavily, that had been the third night terror this month and you were hardly two weeks in. After a few seconds of trying to regulate your breathing and then looked at the person lying next to you. Your girlfriend was sound asleep, Zarya had always been a heavy sleeper and you were grateful for the fact. Night terrors have always been a problem for you but you never told anyone in fear of what they would think. And you especially never wanted to tell Zarya, she was always so strong and brave and you spent all your life trying to build yourself up to be strong, but you still couldn’t even handle a nightmare. As a result you rejected any attempt she made of trying to cuddle, settling your holding hands or just being next to each other, still not wanting to be seen as weaker than her.

You then left bed, careful not to wake Aleksandra before heading downstairs to get something to drink. You sat in the kitchen for about half an hour drink in one hand, ice pack in the other. It was the middle of summer and way too hot and the constant sweating wasn’t exactly helping. After finishing your water you went back upstairs and cautiously crawled in bed again trying to not disturb Zarya. “Y/n?” The small voice made you flinch before you looked over and made out Zarya’s open eyes.

“Hey, what’s up?” You asked trying to play it off casually.

“I woke up and you weren’t here, is everything alright?”

“Yeah I’m fine, everything’s all good, nothing to worry about”

“Y/n” she said, slightly authoritative this time. “Are you sure?”. At that you felt your throat tighten.

Zarya noticed your silence and wrapped an arm around you. At the subtle gesture you began crying. She immediately withdrew her arm in fear of it being the problem, but you grabbed it and put it back in your waist. “Can we talk about it in the morning?” You asked her quietly. She nodded

“Of course, for now get some sleep, okay?” You nodded, with Zarya this close you felt invincible.
