Foxtrot is SO young in the grand scheme of things like. She's barely over a million and was forged from a rare single spark hotspot; she's little and scared and has had very little positive engagement in her life.

Thinking about any other host taking her in as a deployer like... she's mostly feral. She needs to be touch acclimated, and needs to learn that not everyone is out to harm her or worse. Defalcator was an absolute shitheel of a host, and Foxtrot does I think carry some survivor's guilt at being the one to survive.

She's just a baby.

Honestly Soundwave would be the most fitting ending for him. Defalcator was such a jerk to symbionts.

Also before I fall asleep and forget, if any Soundwaves would like to know/know of Defalcator in any verse, his basics are more or less the same everywhere:

A Deception host who was generally not well liked.

Had several symbionts, usually never more than one at a time. All have died or gone missing under suspicious circumstances.

There were rumors he overworked, underfueled, neglected, and/or mistreated his symbionts.

Took in Foxtrot fairly recently by Cybertronian standards, not long after she came online. She's, at best, a little over a million years old.

She escaped a few thousand years ago and has been on the run since.

Defalcator IS very much dead, though Foxtrot doesn't know that. She still doesn't trust most hosts.

I don't know how Defalcator died but it was likely brutal.

I am not above it possibly being Soundwave, over rumors of how he treated his deployers, depending on player preference/interest. Otherwise it was suspicious circumstances.
