It's unfortunate, those who will never experience the beauty of visual (aka photographic) memory :( The ability to comprehend a written description, and create a realistic, detailed image in their mind-automatically... Is a true born artist/creator.  Each of us is gifted with specific memory/learning styles. Recognizing ones multiple intelligence,  enables us to teach, understand and help those that we surround ourselves with.

Some blog owners need to take another trip back to @JoAnn_Stores

For some reason, a lot of bloggers really put down JoAnn Fabric. I have come across complaints often. I’ve only been sewing for maybe 3yrs max, and besides an all cotton place I’ve shopped at out of town once or twice, I buy EVERYTHING I need from Joanns. I don’t even have a “real” job! But I make it work and I’m at the store at least 3x a month if not more.

After dealing with an online store last month, which I really looked into, I don’t think ill ever buy fabric outside of JoAnns again. I needed to really expand my knits for a festival I was doing and the whole experience caused so much stress before my event. I have never dealt with fabric that I could not use how I had planned- after washing it. It wasn’t my fault, I’m very careful too..being broke I kinda have to be, and I never have any problems with anything I buy from Joanns. I’ve never made a return, or walked out with low quality fabric. I need to sell my things so I stick with the nicest quality I can afford. I’m always very confused when I read other blogs complaints about Joanns and I’m determined to let some people know that JoAnn Fabrics is worth every penny. You know they put out a ton of coupons right? I actually have over 25 that I can use this week.

I see these blog girls have numerous problems sewing their knit fabrics, and end up spending extra money on unneeded notions and expensive “walking feet” just to make it easier. I LEARNED how to sew on knit fabric, and I’m self taught! When the fabric is of a good quality, you don’t need all those things, I’ve done just fine without them, as long as I buy my knits from Joanns. I’ll admit that I do have a serger, but it seriously sat in the box for over a year. I could do without it, if I didn’t want the extra speed. I guess you could say I’m a proud shopper of the store, and I looove my materials. I kinda hate to cut into them when I need to, and I put up display pictures of each fabric I buy on my business Facebook, months before I even make something with it. I guess even as a beginner, I was pretty obsessed. I’m really lucky I live 2 minutes away from a superstore and I never realized until this past month how I was used to that reliability, especially during such time of stress.

Brand new sewers, novices and even those who consider themselves advanced..if you are using a bunch of add ons to help you cut, pin and sew your knit fabric, you can save some time just by shopping at Joanns. Good quality knits make a huge difference…and they don’t fall apart which is a plus. I’ll never buy from an online fabric store again, unless the materials aren’t important to me, and I have twice the time to deal with them. But really, why would I when I could sew twice as many things, that look better anyway? What’s the point?
