OKAY I HAVE MONO? that’s the devil making me sick right now??

I started feeling it July 10th, but I think all the recent events have been prolonging its severity. the doctor said “just try to rest and take it easy,” and I was like “HHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH YEAH YEAH, will do!”

I didn’t talk about it here, but I went to emergency last Tuesday for severe abdominal pain and hey it turns out that was my SPLEEN! on the call today my doc said “don’t do anything too wild or it’ll rupture” and I said “what happens if it rupture?” and she said “uh…….nothing good.”

It's not common, but every so often I run across a baby mouse that has crawled into a discarded peanut shell. It's usually body armor but sometimes it can be headgear also.

I call them Peanut Knights. This fuzzy has a quite stylish open-face helmet!

vets when Belphie is hospitalized: “he’s the sweetest and best boy omg we keep crowding around bc we love him sooooo much omg”

vets when Pangur is hospitalized: “well. she’s not happy haha. nearly got me. we sprayed some feliway.”

HEY, some (maybe?) good news!! the x-rays did show that part of his heart is enlarged, but the cardiologist contacted FIP specialists in Australia, and they said they're not seeing anything that couldn't be explained by the FIP. so there's no definitive answer, but it is trending toward the positive right now.

Belphie was having a weird issue that freaked me out, so I took him in, and they said he could be in early stage heart failure. he’s going to stay while they do an echocardiogram, and then they’ll let me know.

the doctor in charge of the FIP study reached out!

this makes me hopeful that the FIP is just doing one last nasty thing on it's way out. we should have more results tonight, and then regardless of anything, I'm bringing Belphie home tomorrow.

I'm a pretty shame-resistant person, but for some reason everything medical related makes me so embarrassed. I'm embarrassed when my cats are sick. I'm embarrassed when I'm sick. I'm embarrassed to call people up and say "Ahem I am noticing Symptoms", and I'm embarrassed to be spending so much money on it. I don't know why that is.

'Indigenous to the woodlands and forests around the Carpathian Mountain areas of Romania and Hungary, the Transylvanian cat is the most recently discovered natural breed in the world.

They have fascinating features such as the reverse Karparti coat, born white, over the first 12 months the kitten grows a black, blue or sometimes a red coat whilst leaving the points of the ears, nose and paws white. Basically a reverse point! The Transylvanian is thermal too, being lighter in summer and darker in winter.

The foundation breeders led by Beverly Elian (WCF Judge) are based in Romania, Hungary, Switzerland and in the UK with Stuart & Amanda Brass.

Extensive testing has occurred on all four generations supported by Leslie Lyons and it appears the breed is robust with no genetic or hereditary issues appearing in any of the litters.'
