Originally built in 1903 and steeped in rich California history, this completely renovated residence is rich in warmth and rustic ambiance, while offering every modern convenience and upscale amenity possible. The four bedroom carriage house, attached three story tower, and two guest cottages offer charming character-filled space and privacy for everyone. Throughout the home, cedar wood planks and beams from the original structure have been thoughtfully recycled. A combination of waxed white oak floors, French reclaimed terracotta tile and unique doors and windows add to the impeccable craftsmanship of this exquisite property. The Kitchen is everything a gourmet chef expects with professional appliances that include a 6-burner Wolf range, wine cooler, coffee station, Sub-zero refrigerator and 3 dishwashers for effortless meals and entertaining. The custom banquette is great for family-style dining. The expansive views of the pool area and surrounding grounds outside become the perfect backdrop to this comfortable and welcoming space. In the Living Room, soaring beam ceilings of cedar rise above a massive 2 story sandstone fireplace. This fireplace was fashioned around the original blacksmith's furnace structure in the carriage house. French doors flank this inviting room; one leading to the pool and expansive backyard, another leading to a private garden with a soothing fountain. The Media Room adjacent to the Living Room can be closed off with pocket doors. A 65" high definition TV is the focal point of the room. This is the quintessential gathering spot for movie nights, lazy sports-filled weekends, or for keeping busy kids entertained with the integrated Xbox-360 system. The first-floor Master Bedroom is located off the Family Room. It boasts artisan handcrafted closet doors, built-in drawers, and brightly colored appointments. In a wing off the Kitchen is a third Master Suite with queen-size bed and en suite Bathroom, and across the hallway is a kids bedroom with two twin beds and adjacent Hall Bathroom. If you must, there is a convenient office nook just perfect for doing bit of work, but don't work too hard, there is too much to see and do outside! Separate from the main house, offering privacy and flexibility, are two additional cottages with kitchen amenities and full bathrooms. Each is equipped with a king bed and a pull-out sofa bed for the kids. Formerly the barn, the one bedroom Pool Cottage rests in the shade of mature oak trees. French doors from both the Living Room and Bedroom open to the backyard with pool views. The Garden Cottage, a quaint bougainvillea covered studio, has a full Kitchen and is easily accessible from the inner driveway courtyard. Either cottage is an excellent option for separate families, or, guests seeking a hideaway all their own. There are laundry facilities at the Main House, Garden Cottage and the Pool House. An outdoor Kitchen features a 5-zone grill with rotisserie, ice maker, refrigerator and dishwasher and is fully stocked with dishes and service pieces to make setting an outdoor table colorful and easy! Dine al-fresco at the large farm table under canvas canopy with heaters and lights that create ambiance and a bit of warmth on cool nights. Plenty of comfortable seating offers any number of places to enjoy the star-studded skies at night, or, a nap during the day! This two-story home was updated in 2016. Freshly painted rooms accentuate all new furnishings in casual, comfortable style throughout. Recent and noteworthy, Los Olivos Square was featured on a TV episode of  "Design Santa Barbara - With Michael Kourosh, and Courtney Maitrejean. Roses of all colors and varieties add beauty to the well-maintained yard – the white picket fence and rose covered archway add a cheerful feel to this welcoming corner property. The wrap around front porch is the perfect perch to watch the world go by.
The main level features both a Formal Living Room for quiet conversation, and a Family Room with fireplace and TV for everyone to gather and enjoy. A clever wine barrel table is situated in front of windows making a perfect spot to play games or sip on the day’s chosen vintage. The well-equipped galley Kitchen ties the Family Room and the Dining Room together, making it effortless to stay connected to all the activities downstairs.
Off the Family Room is a wonderful, sunny guest room with a queen-size bed, built-in desk space, and sitting area. There is a hall Bathroom inside the Laundry Room conveniently located just outside this room.
Upstairs, the Master Suite is a perfect escape whether the goal is having a private place to read, catch up on a favorite TV episode without vying for the remote, or enjoy a bird’s eye view of town from the corner windows. The sitting area and four-poster king-size bed make this a wonderful retreat when it’s time to slow down, and get caught up on some well-deserved rest!  The third guest Bedroom with desk and en suite Bathroom is also on the second floor.
A fully enclosed backyard has a lush green lawn and more beautiful flowers, when in season. Dining al fresco is possible at the outdoor table in this cozy environment. After dinner, taking a stroll may be in order. Simply walk out the gate to do some after hours window shopping, or just enjoy the starry night display overhead, in this quiet town. Before retiring for the evening, enjoy a relaxing soak in the spa - the perfect end to a lovely day!
The valley is also home to live local theatre and equestrian events, with apple picking and pumpkin patches in the fall. The Hideaway at West Beach - One Half Block to The Beach! An ideal starting point to a coastal adventure! Located just one block off the beach and 5 minutes from the heart of downtown Santa Barbara, The Hideaway at West Beach is a sleek contemporary flat in the midst of the Santa Barbara coastal playground.
Originally built in the 1930's, the triplex in which this unit resides was completely re-built in 2013 and is one of three connected units. Sleek design elements blend with classic beach themes honoring the philosophy of simple sophistication, with a playful twist incorporating whimsical art and found items from local boutiques.
The Living Room is the heart of the home, with a 65" flat screen 3D TV, comfy couch, and courtyard views. The perfect place for relaxing with a cup of coffee or glass of wine, the tranquil outdoor fountain can be heard when windows are open, bringing a little of the outside in.
Divine comfort awaits in the Master Bedroom, with great light filtering through white shutters aside a luxurious king-size bed. The second guest Bedroom with a hint of a nautical theme, is fresh and serene and features a queen-size bed. Each bedroom boasts flat screen 3D TV's and Blu Ray DVD players.
In the efficient Kitchen, the designer's choice in appliances, dishes and serving pieces echoes the practical feel of the home with a touch of style. With the smart cook in mind, everything is within reach including the Weber propane grill, and dining table just outside on the back deck. Drapes, heavy with rich natural fibers, close off the Kitchen from the hallway and bedrooms to offer sleepy pajama-clad guests a bit more privacy. Seating for four at the mid-century style oak table keeps dining very casual for breakfast, lunch and snacks. When the sun sets, landscape lighting glows outside in the courtyard to add romance for diners to linger into the night.
The enclosed courtyard and its wrap around deck, with fragrant landscaping, is a natural extension of the home with several seating locations. Dining on the deck is the cornerstone of this outside oasis, offering the perfect perch for meals, morning conversations, or family game night. Wet swimsuits and towels can dry quickly on the clever pull out drying rack on the deck too!
A visit to Santa Barbara would not be complete without exploring the city on foot. With the home's location just a half block off the ocean, Stearn's Wharf, The Harbor and local beaches are literally a stone's throw away. The palm tree lined Ambassador Park of the historic Burton Mound, is the perfect spot for a game of Bocce Ball, or a picnic under majestic shady palms. Santa Barbara's place of the moment is The Funk Zone, just a short walk a couple blocks away. This eclectic sub-culture of artisan shops and galleries, scrumptious eateries, nook wine tasting rooms and award-winning microbreweries and trendy restaurants offer something tasty and unexpected. The Hideaway at West Beach is a very special, luxury alternative to staying at the local beachside hotels that line the neighboring Cabrillo Boulevard, but with more space, fine amenities, and privacy. Enter the private gated community of Miramar, and begin your credentials as a Montecito beach regular. This extremely cute oceanfront cottage on Miramar Beach was completely upgraded and re-decorated in 2008. It is the perfect destination for a couple or small family. This cozy retreat offers morning beach walks, brunch on the deck, and days on the sand w/ lunch at the house. Watch the ocean become glass-smooth, as another fantastic day fades from sunset to evening twilight.
The kitchen is fully stocked with everything a fine chef needs. A private chef is available upon request. The kitchen overlooks the living room which is tastefully appointed with quality beach furnishings. The upper deck is a great place for morning coffee, or romantic sunset dinners. Cook outside on the quality stainless steel gas BBQ with direct gas-line connection.
The master bedroom with Queen bed has its own private deck, with access to the beach. White bead-board cabinets offer plenty of storage space. A 32" flat screen TV with DVD player is enclosed in the cabinets.
The guest bedroom with Full bed has a single twin bed loft. It is a perfect room for kids, or another couple.
