Sreemongol,Sylhet
I have just returned from a spectacular holiday in Srimangal, the tea capital of Bangladesh and, as the title suggests, one of the most relaxing and serene places in the country - if not the world! I urge anyone coming to Bangladesh to give themselves sometime to go and just be among the wildlife, people and scenery. We started our journey from komolapur railway station our train started at 10 pm we reached sreemongol station by 6 am in the morning. After reaching the station we ate some pineapple there. Then we ate our breakfast and hired a cng to find hotel. After 2 hours searching we managed a hotel in sreemongol. Then we checked in the hotel room and took shower. We were so hungary so that we went to a local famous restaurant named Panshi. The food was so delicious. After having our meal we went back to our hotel and took a nap.we woke up at 4 pm and hired a cng to roam around the tea gardens. We visited the Nurjahan Tea state the environment was so calm in the tea state. We walked there like 30 minutes and took some photographs there. The beauty of the tea gardens are beyond description. After that we went to a famous tea stall there. We tested various kind of teas there like Red tea,White tea,Green tea,Seven layers tea etc. Then we get back to our hotel and took our dinner.Sreemongol is the most silent place i have ever visited.
