i cannot get Rio’s desperate “why don’t you want me?” out of my head

Like she pretended that whole performance was about needing a body to return the balance of things, ie, if she can’t have Billy’s body, she’ll take Agatha’s. But it’s more than that.

She was hurt when Agatha insinuated she was “evil”. She’s not evil, she’s just doing her job. “I am the natural order of all things, baby. And you love me.”

She knows Agatha loves her. She’s begging Agatha to just see her already, accept the fact that Rio was just doing her job with Nicky, that she didn’t have a choice. Agatha thinking she’s evil implies she wanted to kill Nicky, that she enjoyed it, and that sickens her. She wants to overcome this hurdle, she wants eternity with Agatha. But Agatha kept rejecting her again and again and again.

“Why don’t you want me? Huh?” is pleading with her to just stop rejecting her, to understand. But Agatha’s too stubborn for her own good.

the scariest thing about the generative AI thing is how quickly people have accepted it as an indefinite, irrevocable part of their reality. people have genuinely convinced themselves that ChatGPT is the only solution to most tasks - tasks they did with their own brain without any large effort two years ago. like you know damn well all of us used to write emails ourselves why are we pretending like this is an impossible task to do with your own two hands. what's with the fucking. AI revisionism. i feel like i am going insane.
