mentions of vore n such
been thinking about what I like (blood, murder, suggestions of someone being killed and/or eaten) and what I don't care about (soft vore?) and I can only assume that I like the concept of death and self-destruction rather than the actual consuming part
I'm definitely into mouths but that is somehow unrelated? fuck knows
#god I am so chuunibyou#between butcher vanity and carnivore my headcanons of hirokawa's mental health is taking a beating lol#personal /

fascinating. I've been random blocked by a new tumblr in the para/syte tag. since we've never interacted I assume they don't want to see my overly specific garbage recommended on their dash. fair enough, I've done the same thing when tags I'm browsing get clogged w a blog I'm tired of scrolling past
I forget that being blocked can happen despite me having blocked accts like anyone else

#Dropping off idea that I don't have time for#Really like Gotou Hirokawa Tamura as a trio#Wilderness vs urban development vs the balance of both#Plus how the two far ends have a little of the other in them#fake deep symbolism

Hirokawa who grew up hating ties and how it feels like he's choking
Hirokawa who got worn down grew to tolerate them for 6, 8, 12, 16 hours at a time because they show he's formal and civilized
Hirokawa who puts on his tie at the last possible moment in the morning and takes it off first thing in the evening
Hirokawa who smiles ruefully when Gotou takes any opportunity to loosen or remove his own tie
#This is a metaphor for being strangled by too much civilization but maybe also sensory disorder rep#Just saying Hirokawa would have been happier as a zookeeper

Other fandoms have to struggle with fanon taking over canon in people's stories and ideas, but parasyte is so dead that basically the only sources of ideas are canon and spinoffs, both of which already get ridiculous
I'll never get over the fact that the tiny 2010s pre-anime Hirokawa pixiv fujoshi fandom decided that Hirokawa is fine with watching people get eaten and himself getting eaten, then Reversi comes out in fucking 2018 and said Hirokawa is fine with watching people get eaten and himself getting eaten and also he's more personally involved with the Parasites than anyone imagined

been thinking about ebisawa in relation/contrast to Hirokawa but if I think too hard about him I will accidentally start liking this weirdo on his own merits

I think Lefty Vashtar's weirdness would be enough to perturb Gotou. Like, he's the one guy who you can say knows how Parasites feel inside and out, so sensing Sredni Vashtar, who's either constantly coked out or in withdrawal, might confuse and disturb him more than anyone else

if ebisawa had been interested enough to directly target Hirokawa instead of his kid, I think his skills at reading people would be good enough to needle Hirokawa very badly. Like, "mayor is considering if it's worth getting arrested for assault and battery" badly
The worst part is ebisawa acting overly friendly and buddy-buddy at the same time as insinuating, accusing, and straight up insulting him of everything under the sun
#Hirokawa stops giving a shit about this human killing people#He hates his guts on a personal level#Like father like son

dynamics of feral au:
Tamura escaped her home first
Then helped Gotou and Miki get loose from their exotics collector
Kusano escaped on his own and lived solo before he joined up
He doesn't like how she leads but since the much bigger dogs defer to her, he can cooperate or go back to being solo (it sucks)
Gotou mainly shadows Tamura, while Miki explores solo or with Kusano
Hirokawa also ran away from home but got stuck on his collar. Tamura led Gotou to him to bite through it
Hirokawa is very pleased with this new family and licks them a lot
Kusano can tell the housecat is different. He dislikes him and his annoying licking
Tamura partakes in mutual grooming, Miki is overenthusiastic for his size, and Gotou is very careful around the small thing
They eventually figure out that Hirokawa's size and gregariousness is very good bait for large prey
Draping the old collar on him increases their success chance when dealing with humans
Hmm. I don't think this will have a happy ending, so we'll pretend there isn't an ending

[A farmer walks into the forest, holding a shotgun half-ready.]
[He had lost a sheep days ago. Its sad remains had been left at the edges of the trees.]
[Massive bites had been taken out of it. It could only have been done by a wolf.]
[While the carnage was vicious, the scene only showed signs of one or two large animals, and possibly a few smaller ones.]
[If it had been a full pack, he might have gone for help. But two grown wolves are no match for a shotgun, and any others were still pups.]
[He would have to exterminate them before they multiplied.]
[A meow startles him.]
[It is followed by a black and white cat emerging from the bushes, head and tail held high.]
[The cat winds around his legs, meowing all the while.]
[He's familiar with roaming barn cats, but...]
[...the ring around its neck tells him this one is a lost house pet.]
Farmer: What are you doing out here? It's dangerous in these woods, y'know.
[Despite his words, he plants his gun down butt first.]
[Even house cats, naive as they are, have a sense of smell. One coming up to him so boldly means there are no bigger predators nearby.]
[The farmer crouches to see if the collar has a number or address attached to it.]
[It comes away in his hand. Its torn edges are frayed with strange dark stains.]
[The cat continues to meow loudly, pacing just in front of his legs.]
Farmer: What's with your collar?
[Eyes glint in the shadows behind him.]
