Once again I revisited my old beanfox pattern and I guess is final now… I mean I’m always twisting and changing bits of patterns but this one is out in the wild… anyway here are all my beanfoxes from nonameuglyyarn all the way up to Baked Potato

Making Baked Potato:
The first beanfox made starting from the bottom

Steps for the belly:
-MR 6 sc
-6 increase (12)
-Sc, 2 inc (2 sc, 2 inc)*2, sc (18)
-2 sc, 2 inc, (4 sc, 2 inc)*2, 2sc (24)

@caffiendtrashbean ok bear with me since is the first time I try to make my notes something understandable for other people, and of course if you have any doubts message me and tag me once your fox is done!!!
Long post is long:
Frizorrito/BeanFox 🦊🫘
Materials: (suggested)
🧶Bernat velvet yarn, or some chenille yarn (these are my favorite) 3 colors: dark/black color for legs, arms and ears; medium/red brown for body and second part of the tail, light/white color for snout and tip of the tail (belly can be added by color change or sew on the body at will, go crazy). Stuffing is used of course, and either safety eyes or more dark/black yarn for embroidery ayes and nose (I use worsted or cotton yarn when embroidering, I also suggest trying out buttons for the eyes gives the final product a different look), for bernat velvet I use a 5mm hook
Notes:
🧶I learned to use magic ring with this yarn but the “chain two” method is more common, and it can work well too.
🐾For the legs don’t ask me why I started with 8 single crochet instead of 6, I guess starting with 6 sc won’t make much of a difference but I used 8 and nobody knows why :)
📝 “dis” means decrease and is the invincible decrease method.
“X” means single crochet I saw that on a pattern once and I liked it.
I didn’t numbered each row, sorry, but I put the total number of rows at the end in “#”
☁️ I suggest that the stuffing in the legs, arms and tail doesn’t go all the way up to the top (where these parts are attached to the body) I usually just stuff the half bottom part and not too heavily but I encourage to try different ways until you find the best look for your bean-fox
🪡 At the end of each piece (ie. snout, ears) a long tail for sewing can be left or a shorter tail and sew them to the body with a different (less troublesome) yarn, remember I’m using chenille/velvet and it tends to auto-destroy when stretching
🧶Im not sure of how much yarn it takes to make this guy but I’ve never used the whole 100 gr skein for each color, actually I think it took about half of that for the body which is the biggest piece, same for the dark parts.

🦺Stuff I do: when working with magic ring, at the end of the first round of increases I tie the yarn tail of the magic ring to my working yarn you it stays secured, sometimes chenille yarn slips and this way your magic ring won’t open up a little.
-I take a long piece of white/light yarn and a long piece of dark/black yarn to add some details to the face such as eyebrows and dark marking outside the eyes, this is not necessary but I think it looks nice.
-when working the increases if I let them fall in the same place is because I let that shape the piece, like for the snout, that allows me to work with that “triangular” form when sewing it ti the face.
-I stuff the body a little more firmly so it can sit
-If attaching the tail, legs and arms by stitches (from bottom to top), I prefer not to close those pieces with single crochet and instead flattening and passing the hook thru 2 stitches of the leg and one of the body, it gives them a similar wobblyness as closing them down with single crochet and sew them to the body
#this is my first public pattern#not sure how public since only 5 people follow me#and only one person is interested in it#but here it is#crochet#bean fox#amigurumi#pattern

I’ve been trying to sell my creations but haven’t had much luck, I feel like I’ve been under pricing them just to get some cash because I need it, but I’m tired of that, I’m also tired of making more “sellable” plushies so now I’m going to stick to what I like, even if I have a box labeled “the unwanted”, here’s a little dragon, I’ll make a red one next and maybe a griffon
