So i don’t make a lot of my own content besides some photography here and there. I don’t feel like i have a lot to say. But i think I’ve found something that may actually interest some of you here.

Once upon a time, i was a little kid at a small elementary school in the middle of nowhere. This school put on a yearly spring “carnival” with easy games for the kids to play, win tickets, and cash out for cheap garbage prizes. These would be the kind of mass produced bought-in-bulk novelty items such as you’d get out of an Oriental Trading catalog. Lost or broken within a week, sort of things. Anyway, Little Bizarre selected a bright purple faux fur lucky rabbit’s foot. This was lost quickly, as expected.

Fast forward to a somewhat older Bizarre going through a box of junk to weed out things to get rid of. The rabbit’s foot is found in the box. Enough years have passed that it is no longer a treasured prize, and I decide to take it apart. Now, i know it’s fake fur, but I can feel the hard center has a shape like, well, a foot. Claws and all. I’ve had a real rabbit’s foot before and I can tell you, it felt just like it with toes and everything, even though I know it has to be fake. So i pry he glued edge of the fur up, and start unwinding. And, no surprise, the center is plastic. However, the manufacturer had taken the time to mold a realistic foot! That part was surprising.

Now for the point of the story. I wouldn’t bore you with taking apart a crap toy without reason. The foot looks fairly realistically shaped….. until you turn it over:

SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE MY CHEAP FAKE LUCKY RABBIT’S FOOT. Again, mass-produced child’s toy. There must be thousands of these laying around. I literally got chills when i saw it. Now, of course, it is back to being a prized possession, but holy crap does it baffle me.

Me: *to my therapist* I had the spoons, so I did heaps of stuff and now I'm so exhausted I feel sick.

My Therapist: This is where you got to treat spoons like cash. Just because you have them, you need to figure out if you have enough to spend, or else you're going to be in debt. Remember, you're autistic, so you regain those spoons slowly and use them quickly. Everything, good and bad, uses that cash for you. You may enjoy the activity but it's going to exhaust you just as much as a bad activity if you're not careful.

Me: Goddamnit....

who can fit in societal definition of useful & productive (yes, even if hard)

when fight back against eugenics & ableism, you NEED to fight alongside, fight with, n fight for autistics who

radicalized & POC

from places of world where there critically lack autism knowledge n support

visibly autistic

higher support needs

need 24/7 care

can’t work independently or even work at all

can’t pay taxes

nonverbal, nonspeaking, minimally verbal, without functional communication, or cannot communicate via language at all even AAC

w intellectual disability or cognitive disabilities

who cannot fit into society definition of useful n productive, no matter how hard we try

because we always are & always will be primary target.

because we most vulnerable most marginalized within our, OUR community, which you belong in.

because once they finish us off you won’t be spared.

And after a while you just stop. You stop watering your plants. You stop watching netflix. You stop reading. You stop replying to your friends as fast as you used to. You stop buying yourself nice things. You stop putting an effort into how you look. You stop taking care of yourself like you used to. You stop sleeping. You stop eating healthy foods. You stop petting your dog. You stop socializing.

You stop with everything. You find yourself sitting in your room for hours on end, without doing a single thing. Days feel like years. And you think you can’t do it for much longer.

and what are we going to do when the HP series comes out and we start seeing a resurgence of the fandom here including gifsets and fics. like are u guys gonna bring up your neurodivergence and cry "can we separate the art from the artist!!!!! you dont need to pay to watch it!!!!!its my comfort show and I'm DEPRESSED and AUTISTIC"
