This is Disgusting: #ArbysWaifu

We get it Arbys. You want to get down with the cool crowds and have us buy your burgers. Wendys did it with their #wendysroast, and all the companies were eager to hop on the iHob hate bandwagon. Companies are adapting to their new market and as a result attempt to be âhipâ with memes, referencing pop culture , and millennial humor. People fall for it, but you know what? Thatâs fine. I may be a bit annoyed, but not mad.
But this. This is crossing the line.
There are just so many things wrong with this #arbyswaifu stuff.
The company knows what they are trying to do with creating a loli-like waifu, because the internet responded accordingly. The world wide web houses some of the most lustful people that donât mind sexualizing minors, and if the art shown above doesnât convince you then either you  . I mean good lord you cannot deny this when Shad âinternet infamous for drawing porn of underaged girlsâ Man shows up on your thread.
It disgusts me that a big name company would be fine not only with disregarding the age of consent when it comes designing female mascots for their perverted consumers to fawn over & then buy their burgers, but that they are okay with profiting from such gross conducts. I wouldnât be so upset about this if it wasnât for the fact that their âwaifuâ is initially portrayed as very childlike. And NO donât give me that âitâs just in a chibi styleâ BS, if thatâs the case why didnât they bother drawing her in proportions that of a 54 year old women like they claimed? Why did they deliberately decide to first portray her someone that passes as a toddler? Itâs the same argument when closeted anime pedos say that itâs okay that they want to bone what is basically a kid because they are 1000 years old or whatever.Â

It doesnât change the fact that they still want to bone someone who still has the body of a kid, and thatâs problematic because you donât bone someone who still doesnât have the ability to consent yet. The mere fact that you are somehow attracted to people who look like kids is in itself problematic. These kinds of people deserve to be in jail.
Also, because I know some people are going to say âitâs just a drawing so you shouldnât get so offended about it lol XDâ, first of all, that doesn't change the fact that what is basically child porn is being drawn. And secondly, NO, that is incorrect, there have been many, MANY examples of fictional media, which include drawings and art, having an impact of people. From children televisions shows like Sesame Street, to more mature literature like Animal Farm, they have been shown to haven an impact on their audience. Kids learn moral lessons from kid programs, and some pieces of writing have challenged and/or questioned the norms.

With the trend of #arbyswaifu, it insinuates the idea that it is okay for this female girl still in the body of a child to be labeled as âwaifusâ for people to get attracted to. And with these gross art of Arbyâs waifu, it insinuates the idea that the sexualization of minors is okay and acceptable. AND ITâS NOT. So stop using this lame excuse to defend pedos to keep drawing child pornography.Â
And to Arbys, I just want to know why. What prompted you to do this. You didnât seem to be failing as a company, and you were already gaining a massive following with your other famous advertising stunts. I mean jesus christ look at the cardboard cutout art you guys made, those are genuinely impressive and people loved it! It garnered a lot of attention and made your brand look more cooler with what you are capable of creating with fast-food. No one minded that this is all still a stunt to so people would develop a positive outlook on your company because we were all too busy being amazed by these kind of art!Â

I believe it takes lots of time and talent to create these, and the positive reaction you received from this reflects that. So WHY? Who thought it was okay to go from these masterpieces to casually sexualizing kids for the pervy internet? Like literally just make your Arbys âwaifuâ an actual adult and I wouldnât even be this upset about it!!!
Ugh. It is way too late for this anyways, Iâm just so freaking disappointed and upset that with each passing day, pedophilia seems to be normalized more and more on the internet. It is absolutely disgusting. Rest assured that Iâm definitely not going to Arbyâs anymore, itâs not like the food there is any good anyway. If you support Arbys and their hella gross trend, kindly unfollow me this instant.

âEverybody deals with somethingâ isnât an appropriate response to disability. Having a disability doesnât preclude us from facing other obstacles in life. We still might grow up poor or in abusive households. We still might face discrimination based on our race or sexuality. We still might have to face any and all of the challenges that abled people face, but with the added limitations of our disabilities. Itâs time that this reductive and problematic saying is retired.

I feel like todayâs society isnât accepting of allowing people to change. Like we all LOVE being âwokeâ and shit but when someone with a platform who has a past of being problematic (but not intentionally), tries to change and learn and progress-we donât validate it. Itâs ridiculous. We canât preach about educationg yourself on racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. and then get mad when those who would say things partaining to such realize their faults and try to change.
Back when i lived in this white-ass racist town with republican parents I had views that Iâd now say are racist/homophobic/etc. That was because thatâs what was taught to me and I was never shown another side and I never thought to look it up and social media wasnt even a big thing yet. I only had the people around me to go off of and those werenât very educated people. It took creating a tumblr account and college to realize how a lot of my views were stemmed from racism or whateverthehell. I have learned, i have been someone to make my family more âwokeâ on a lot of topics. I realized that Iâm a bisexual trans dude in the process of it.
We need to learn empathy. If someone were to have a recording of something i said when i was 16 that was problematic Iâd bloody hate for that to be the thing i live under. For THAT to be peopleâs impression of who I am. I am not the person I was even a MONTH ago. Drastic changes happen, we change DAILY. People can be the biggest homophobe one month and going to pride in celebration the next month. People can CHANGE. They can own up to their shit- they can own up to saying and thinking problematic things and learn from it.
Letâs not create a society that doesnât allow people to feel validated in trying to become better. Iâve listened to friends get indoctrinated by lowkey racist and homophobic ideals by their families and its insane how deep that can go. Iâve had friends who took only a few articles to change their minds and realize their problematic ways. But ive also had friends who took a bit longer to come around.
I dont want this to sound like im sitting here saying âforgive all problematic assholes!â No. Iâm saying give the people who are clearly making a change and becoming helpful members of society and joining the conversation a chance. Thereâs always going to be exceptions to this-some shit you just canât forgive and I understand that and there are people I canât forgive. All iâm asking is that we recognize that other people are allowed to become âwokeâ even if their past depicts the opposite of that.

Is that too much to ask? I remember when people just disagree to agree when it came to ships, or that slash fans had no problem treating the creators of their shows with respect even if their paring didnât become canon, or that people just ignored fanart they didnât like because this is the internet where every artist is allowed to express themselves, and if you dont like it you can say it without trying to imply or calling the artist a homophobic, racist,  trans-phobic bigot. Â
But nope we live in a world where a fan tried to poison an artist at a convention because she drew fanart of a ship she fond problematic, we live in a world where fans harass an  artist over genderbend art and then even insult the creators who tried telling them to calm down and not bully said artist while ignoring the fact the creators are part of the GLBTQ community too, We live in a world where slash fangirls tried to blackmail the creators to make their gay  ship canon or else they would leak scenes from the newest season online, we live in a world where fans harassed a bisexual writer of the show and accusing her of queer baiting to the point she was left her twitter account,  we live in a world where its okay to send death threats towards an artist for a chubby drawing a character ââskinnyââÂ
wtf fans?
sorry for the Bad english and bad quality I made this in rush, and I have no idea what the correct size should be for strips on tumblr ugh I link to the DA version soon.
