Proverbs

Proverbs give some form of life advice. Every language and culture has them, and many proverbs exist in more than one language.

Some examples of proverbs are: 

1) Don’t cross your bridges before you get to them, ( when you tell someone not to worry about something until it actually happens

2) All the glitters is not gold (Just because something looks good doesn’t mean it’s good)

3) A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush ( It’s better to be content with what you have than to risk losing everything by seeking to get more)

Class

In class we learned “Irregular plural nouns” 

Words that end in “f” are a good example of this case. To make such a word plural, you change the “f” to “ve” and add an “s.” For example:

-elf - elves

-calf-calves

knife-knives

loaf-loaves

Irregular nouns made plural by changing vowels, changing the word, or adding a different ending:

man - men

person - people

mpuse - mice

child - children

foot - feet 

We also learned some new phrasal verbs, some of them are:

To put on: To start wearing something

To take off: When you remove clothing

To call up: Phone someone

Right away: Trying to do something quickly

To dress up : War clothes for a sepacial meetingor it can also mean to cover something with other lie

To look up: Search or visit

For good: When something is forever

Personal Introduction

My name is Paula Andrea Forero Romero I’m 18 years old I live in Soacha San mateo with my parents and my two brothers, I also have an older sister but she lives by herself, I consider myself as a responsible and hardworking person, I enjoy playing soccer with my friends, hanging out with my friends,dancing,listening music,watching series and movies, and ride bycicle, I listen to all types of music but my favorite music genre is rap, my favorite male rapper is tupac, my favorite song of him is called “dear mama” and my favorite female rapper is Queen Latifah, my favorite song of her is called “black hand side”.

In my free time I like to read, I enjoy reading about business and I just started reading the bible, the only book I’ve read is titled “Rich dad poor dad” I think this book is very interesting since it changed my opinion about money and now I’m going to read more about this topic, I also like to hangout with my firends but I prefer to stay at home sleeping or watching some Netflix.

Unfortunately I don’t have any pets because my parents don’t allow it to me   since I have asthma, but if I could I’d love to have a cat or a dog, but I prefer dogs, I think they are more loving with you, instead cats are more serious.

Los Angeles is the city where I would like to live in, I think is a wonderful city beacuse of its weather and architecture, I’m also interested in the hollywood industry.
