top five Curtis brothers interactions you’ve seen in performances
okay wow whoever is sending these keep 'em coming i'm living for this
this past Thursday, when Jason tucked his face into Brody's arm/shoulder during the scene pre-GE and was watching him read, then just like looked up at Brody for "how many pages is it"
All of Victor!Soda's forehead kisses. Every single one of them.
When Victor!Soda draped himself over Brody!Pony's back while trying to clean up his face after the initial jumping, and basically every moment between Victor!Soda and Brody!Pony in that scene pre-GGAH
The time I saw Dan!Soda tuck his face into Brody's chest during the hospital scene when they were on the floor
The way Brody as Pony looks at whoever is playing Soda, but especially Jason and Victor, during Soda's Letter, with admiration and love and he's basically that one emoji that I can't insert because I'm on my laptop
Basically, they're all Soda/Pony moments wow.

PSA: not to anyone in particular, just in general
if anyone is going to a show to record, ESPECIALLY debut nights, BE RESPECTFUL OF EVERYONE THERE
actors are people. they make mistakes, especially in debuts. and they can go and nitpick and tear themselves apart if they get tagged in/sent recordings of their performances
so dont spread them around in ways that the actors can stumble into them!! these are people on the same social medias as us. a lot of performers have mentioned how much they DONT want to come across recordings
and also!! dont make it obvious that ur recording. Broadway houses are not as big as you think, especially in theaters like the Jacobs. the actors can see a lot of seats out there and seeing a phone/camera can take them out of it so fast. hannah lowther has mentioned this before, how seeing someone recording instantly makes her stressed about messing up instead of being able to focus in the character.
tldr: be respectful. be smart. be sneaky in how you film and how you share recordings. respect the actors and their wishes abt not wanting to see things

this probably won't go anywhere but I feel like it should be said
Even IF someone else has stopped an actor not at stage door to talk to them/take photos with them/sign for them, even IF that actor is already talking to other people/seems "happy" to be doing so-you are not entitled to walk up to them and join the crowd. Obviously, the more people who go up to them, the more a crowd will be attracted., and the harder it will become for them to say "no, I need to go home."
Most of these actors are kind people who don't want to let their fans down, but publicly posting your photos and stories of "running into them!" when clearly they were not actively stage dooring is weird.
Also, it is completely possible to have these interactions, and NOT post about them! Your conversations and meetings with people you look up to should be for you and that person alone, not a chance for you to get clout or attention for snagging a "rare photo" with someone.
This fandom is a damn prison sometimes.

i brought a bunch of my friends to the outsiders on my birthday this year. at stagedoor, one of them complimented hailey’s acting as cherry and specifically pointed out how impactful her tears were. she told us that night was her first time performing this track with josh as ponyboy outside of a put-in rehearsal, so the audience crying at him crying made her also cry 🥹

butter twins headcanons 🌼🧈
or: paul holden & beverly jitney-bush as twin siblings! this was written with dan and hailey’s portrayals in mind but i like to believe it can be applied to any paul actor and also maggie kuntz’s bev <3
paul and bev's parents had them young. they got married straight out of high school at 18 years old. the natural thing to do once you got married was to have kids right away, regardless of your age.
but they only wanted one child, at least to start. they weren't blessed with the generational wealth they were able to pass down to their kids. they had to work for it, and having twins meant it would be harder for them to build up the financial cushion they always wanted to provide their children.
the holden family could've thrived on the dad's 9-to-5 alone, but he and his wife insisted on leaving paul and bev behind to work extra shifts across multiple jobs to save for their future. because of this, paul and bev grew up at their grandparents' house on the east side where money wasn't abundant, but love was overflowing.
when they started elementary school, paul and bev got bullied. everyone knew they were neighbors with the greasers. even though they didn't share their signature slicked-back look in the hair department, people treated paul and bev like they were one of them anyway.
paul never said anything, never fought back. he took the punches (both metaphorically and physically) because he felt like he deserved it. the east side was his home, no matter how much it pained him to admit it. at the end of the day, all paul wanted was to "fit in" with the people he felt like he was supposed to be friends with. by giving in to their torment, paul was rebelling against the truest parts of himself. isn't that what it means to "fit in"?
bev was never afraid of standing up for herself, but she was hesitant to defend her brother at first because she didn't know what repercussions she would face. people liked to poke fun at her and paul for being so close, which always hurt bev's feelings. that's her brother. obviously, they were going to be inseparable.
eventually, their grandparents passed away, and paul and bev were forced to move back into their parents' house on the west side. mom and dad were absent every night, always coming home all drunk and loud and lonely. sometimes they would be absent for multiple nights in a row, leaving paul and bev to fully fend for themselves for up to five days on end during the worst of it.
it wasn't until then that bev realized paul is the only real family she's got, and she'd be a fool to let him go in lieu of saving her reputation. so she tightened up her laces and started fighting for her brother.
once they entered high school, people loosened up on paull. he made top grades, hosted parties, was a prominent member of the football team, and had finally blended all the way in with the socs. there wasn't anything about him that was "bully worthy" anymore. so it stopped.
bev, on the other hand? she stuck out like a sore thumb. all of her friends got boyfriends or girlfriends before she did, and it seemed like they were all dating each other, which made it even worse. whenever the socs went to the drive-in, she was always the third or fifth or seventh wheel. don't get bev wrong, she is glad she waited to date and found brill because she truly believes he is her high school sweetheart, but it was hard for bev to watch all of her friends grow up while she felt stuck between the life she wanted to live and the life she was expected to live.
bev started isolating herself. paul noticed this and tried to help, tried to be there for bev like she was there for him, but it was no use. as paul grew closer to darry and began rekindling his old friendships with the greasers, bev fully embraced her soc persona.

sodapop’s got no off switch when it comes to food. he’s like a beagle—those guys don’t quit eating until you rip the bowl away from them. like if you put anything in front of him, chances are, he’ll eat it unless he’s in a really really bad mood. like this dude would eat until he throws up (if darry let him…) but then he’d probably eat that too.
darry physically has to pry food out of his hands so he doesn’t get sick. pony knows if he doesn’t, he’s gonna be kept up all night cause soda’ll be whining about “how could you let me eat this much, pone..?” or “my stomach fuckin’ hurts, dude” she pony doesn’t wanna hear it.

and ykw i’ll take it a step further that i think the vast majority white & probably mostly grew up rich soc actors should be a lil less nonchalant about their characters and be a little more aware of just how malicious and (micro)aggressive the characters they play truly are and like. actually learn the history and context within that song and their clique in general and actually speak about it like idk jft is not a funny song to laugh at and i think the socs should be taken more seriously for how genuinely malicious and violent and bigoted they are idk
