(even though I'm sort of on hiatus for the fandom, I also wouldn't mind an opportunity to redo my pieces?) (also i love the sound of a 2017-2018 summer released calendar and I hope it goes well!!!)

hey quick update:

changing from a 2017 calender to a definitive 2017-2018 calendar

reasons being:

i have not had time to work on my own pieces, including the cover

i can absolutely account for a summer release; as it stands, the more i try to work on it while balancing heinous school and work hours, i am unable to get it out quicker. by releasing it this summer i can assure it will be the best it can be! i cannot give a solid date, but I hope for June since the semester ends in May.

participating artists:

i think i’d like to compensate you guys for your work! i know i originally wanted you all to volunteer-- and i’m grateful you did! but as time goes on and i find myself more unable to find time for this project, you guys deserve to be paid for your passion!

 i’m working out the details on this, whether i end up putting a pwyw on it’s initial release to go towards compensation or pull from my own pocket, i cannot assure at the moment, but the closer we get to our (hopeful) june release, the better i can gauge what i want to do.

anyway:

i can apologize profusely over and over for not being able to get this out as soon as i wanted to; it was a very last minute project and it was silly of me to take it on by myself, especially since i wasn’t expecting this semester to be as harrowing as it is. but rather than apologize, i’m trying to be very straight forward about the situation and that i cannot time manage very well; it’s something i am learning to do.

SO i think i’ll be adding a couple of things! i’ve considered adding more things to the calendar especially since we now have a few choices stories that haven’t been covered in the current plans; and changing the dates to include 2018 may give us some leeway (and give artists more time haha!) to work on pieces for braidwood manor, endless summer, and lovehacks. if there’s interest, at least. i wouldn’t want to tack on work for 6 more pieces if there wasn’t.

YAH. thank you all for your patience, per the usual. i try to keep everyone updated on my personal situation and plans. i’ll probably reblog this later or personally let artists know the dealio or make a new, cleaner post w less blah and more getting straight to the point! thanks!

quick update!

HEYO CUTIES CALENDAR SOON (NEXT WEEK. NO EXACT DATE cause i expect like, murphy's law. again.) and YEAH!!! i am super sorry for going dark without saying anything!!! uni’s kicking my butt with 3-4 projects due in the next week and my internship’s kept me super busy too Q_Q not a moment to breathe, especially no time to do this project ;o;

HELLO!!!

I apologize for the delay in announcements! Spring semester started for me at uni and I’ve been way busy with studying (oof) for classes!

As of right now, I can promise, perhaps, by the end of the month? For sure. Before then. Haha. Goal is to have everything done by January 31.

I apologize for my inconsistency! I’m only one person curating this so please understand that this is a very large project for me to take on in my free time!

The artists list is currently undergoing edits, so please be patient with me as I finalize all of it ^o^! Thank you very much!

News, news, news!

Hello!!! This is an update!!!

Thank you artists for your submissions/checking in with me/yadda yadda yadda. I super appreciate you! I was super busy tabling at con this weekend, but your messages & emails & everything came through and, ahem, i gotchu

That being saaaaaaid,

There are a few hiccups and complications! Nothing to worry about really (for you, haha)! But we’re going to have a couple of flips and flops because of things that were frankly out of our control. Life happens, you feel? And that’s ok! Life happens, and we roll with it.

Now with THAT being saaaaaaid,

I hope you guys still enjoy the calendar all the same!! We have some really AMAAAAZING art and AMAAAAZING artists who put their time into making this!! As the curator, I can tell you: it’s gonna be cute. Heck yea.

I’m sorry we couldn’t get this out to you right at the beginning of the month! But hey, holidays. Life. We roll with it. I hope you still love it, you guys!

OH!! ONE LAST THING @ ARTISTS SPECIFICALLY: Life happens!! If you’re submitting late that’s totally okay, lol. I still love you!! I’d also love to have your pieces by maybe Wednesday for the artists roster!!! thank u!!

A REMINDER that if anyone who did not apply but wants to do a piece (or if any current artists are willing to tackle another piece) please do send a message!! we’d love to have you!!

i cannot let you go through the application process as normal, much of the pieces have been filled but there ARE pieces that need to be made and cannot be handled by myself ;o;

if you’re worried you are not skilled enough, please know that that is not a factor that is considered, this calendar is a project for fanartists to draw for games they love!! all fanart is beautiful and wonderful and i encourage you to try just to be a part of it! :> if you have issues with some of my piece requirements (canvas sizes/traditional reqs/etc) please message me and we can figure something out!!

Hi! Here's an update for you guys (artist apps, in particular!) I was 100% planning on contacting you yesterday, but I have a couple of finals today that pushed away any hopes of doing that, yikes. That being saaaaid! I will be contacting/confirming things with all artist apps tonight (Monday the 12) and Tuesday! A formal artist announcement will follow Thursday at the latest! Hello! This is the Pixelberry Calendar Project!!

This is a fan-run project dedicated to creating a 2017 calendar featuring YOUR fanart!! The finished calendar will be available to download and print for yourselves once it is finished!

The calendar will feature 24 pieces created by fanartists!

Speaking of fanartists: we need you to apply!

The application deadline is December 10! (Which means we can’t get this out to you by January 1st, but hey we’ll try our hardest!)

Hiya, just wondering what exactly the side pieces would be? Like would they just be character potraits or something different?

The side pieces have a lot more flexibility than bg pieces have so! Yeah!

They can definitely be character portraits! Or they can be full-bodied pieces, or two or more characters interacting, or chibis, or inanimate objects!!

Side pieces will only have a few requirements, which are as follow (and more will be added to the artist app page! Sorry about not adding this stuff earlier haha!):

Must have a white background that can easily be made transparent (a smaller, simple background is welcome!)

It should be able to fill at least half of a page!

I will let you know what side of the page the side piece will be on, by the way, just for variation!

I’ve sketched up a clearer picture of what the bottom half (numbered half) of the calendar will (roughly) look like on each page!
