So my URL has a story. Usually the saying is like peaches and plums, right? Well all my OC's end up being fuckin' softies and sweet but also total dumbasses. Therefore peaches and dumbs. I'm 21, call me Peaches or Aqua since it's my main blog (@aquaace)

characters raised to be tools
Weapons. Trained, tested, forged in steel and fire. Failure is an inevitability that ends in death. Pain should not be felt--it should be recognized, familiar, and inconsequential
Martyrs. In the form of servants and princes, of leaders and underdogs. If blood is necessary, the martyr will lift their hands and offer it all
Shields. Like tempering a sword, but only to bear and not to lash out. Wounds are medals--not symbols of pride, but symbols of worth. A pretty shield is useless; scars mean a job well done
Experiments. Raised on the cold comfort of a lab table. Restraints are only necessary when they're not in their right mind. Is it honorable, to be twisted beyond recognition? Or is it just a necessary evil?
Monsters. Cruelty, caution, and regarding one as a creature beyond reasonable thought is tempering in its own right. But if you keep a leash at the right length, perhaps the massecre won't reach you. One can hope.
Idols. Pretty face, pretty name, pretty hands around their shoulders and throat. There to seduce, manipulate, force any feeling to come to the surface and twist it to their favor. Any genuinity stays locked behind the guilded cage that surrounds their pretty little heart
Trophies. Status and wealth and the traditions that keep someone at their heels, on their knees, to display and serve and decorate one's ballroom.
Sacrifices. Drenched in honorable clothes, prepared and adored and cleansed. The gift of hope at the cost of one's life. Is it taken with no fight? How can you escape the ropes you were born in?

things I would do if you're a nsfw/kink creative now because I've been eerily prescient about every single wave:
a) get a personal site with your own domain you own. now. not a carrd or third party squarespace. not next week. now. get it online with ugly-ass html but get your links there.
b) if you have the money: join one or multiple of eff.org / cbldf.org / freespeechcoalition.com
partly because they're actively fighting this, partly because they have members-only Lawyers You Might Need. Hint. Hint. Canary.
c) Write Down Those Lawyer Contact Numbers in meatspace. phone number of a real human being especially on paper, On You.
I have been in contact with lawyers for a few months now as my doujin circle knows. this should be telling you Many Things.
d) www.ecrater.com is where i'm going to be tentatively testing a shop because i like the fact you can *not* have payment processes and order digital/physical products via purely mail order.
(... be prepared for this to fall through too in the next 1-6 months.)
e) friends and followers of nsfw artists who earn most of their income through it: now's the time to support them. they're going to need the grace and financial flexibility especially mental health wise. domain/shop transfer/refund/therapy bills ain't free.
check in on them, and often.
f) get a VPN, use it daily to acclimatize, have them on your hard drive, several VPN's preferable. this is for the age verification laws coming. Start reading up on secure, privacy-focused infrastructure (prioritize email > website > shop in that order).
eff.org has a *ton* of resources.
g) prepare for discord and tumblr to be hit in the next wave. have alternatives *and actively start using them* if they're mission critical platforms for you.
I've played with matrix though I quite fancy IRC. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I say these things not to fearmonger but to give yourself the maximum amount of time to prepare. the pendulum *will* swing back. it did with the 80's moral panic. it will for this too.
you just have to outlast the bastards.

On writing sexual tension
⊹ standing too close. like just barely not touching. why are their shoulders breathing on each other??
⊹ conversations that sound normal but feel like foreplay. “pass the salt” has never been so loaded.
⊹ one of them says something flirty and the other freezes for 0.2 seconds like “oh.”
⊹ eyes dropping to lips and then—back up. with effort.
⊹ holding eye contact just a little too long. like... are they gonna kiss or duel??
⊹ unintentional physical contact that lasts one second too long and now they’re both broken
⊹ a hand on the small of the back. that’s it. that’s the tweet.
⊹ tension so thick that other characters start noticing like “hey are you two okay?” (they are not)
⊹ “accidental” sleepovers. “oh no there’s only one bed.” yeah. suuuure.
⊹ biting back a smile. biting back a moan. biting anything really.
⊹ one of them walks away and the other has to physically restrain themselves from watching the hips
⊹ lots of sighing. frustrated sighs. horny sighs. “i want to kiss you but I’m emotionally unavailable” sighs.

Tired of stories where the author worldbuilds a whole religion only to chicken out at the last moment by making the main character a skeptic. You mean to tell me that there’s all this richness in lore and culture, but you’ve trapped me with the one person in this society who doesn’t care about it? So bland. I could meet an agnostic easily enough by walking down the street, but your story is my one chance to hear the perspective of someone who follows whatever religion you’ve contrived. You made this whole world; convince me that your character really is from there.

I looove a good rescue scene, but let’s hear it for whumpees who escape!!
whumpees who finally manage to overpower their whumper and give them the beatdown of a LIFETIME
whumpees who are not necessarily physically stronger than whumper, but who outwit them and are gone before whumper even realizes what’s happening
whumpees who peel off in a car at the last second, watching whumper furiously, uselessly running behind them
whumpees who run for miles, for hours, before finally collapsing at caretaker’s door
just…whumpees who escape!!

Habits That Reveal Deep Character
(A.K.A. the quiet stuff that says everything without screaming it)
❥ The “I Always Sit Facing the Exit” Quirk They don’t talk about their childhood much, but they always know where the exits are. Every restaurant. Every train. Trauma has muscle memory. Your job is to notice what it’s saying without needing a monologue about it.
❥ The “I Can’t Sleep Until I Hear You Lock the Door” Habit It's not controlling. It's care shaped like paranoia. They say “Goodnight” like it’s casual, but they’re counting the clicks of the lock like a lullaby. Let that show more than “I love you.”
❥ The “I Keep Everything You’ve Ever Given Me” Thing Not just gifts. Receipts with your doodles. The crumpled note you wrote when you were mad. Every bit of you that felt real. It’s borderline hoarder behavior, but also? It’s devotion.
❥ The “I Cook When I’m Sad” Pattern Their world’s falling apart, but suddenly everyone has banana bread. It’s not about food—it’s about control, about creating something warm when everything else is cold. And they won’t say it out loud, but they're asking, “Will you stay?”
❥ The “I Practice Conversations in the Mirror” Secret Before big moments, hard talks, or just answering the phone. They're rehearsing being okay. They're trying to be the version of themselves people expect. That’s not weakness—it’s survival wrapped in performance art.
❥ The “I Fix Other People’s Problems to Ignore My Own” Reflex Everyone calls them “strong,” but no one notices how fast they redirect. “How are you doing though?” they ask, one heartbeat after breaking down. Let your reader see how exhaustion wears a smile.
❥ The “I Never Miss A Birthday” Rule Even for people who forgot theirs. Even for exes. It’s not about being remembered—it’s about being someone who remembers. That’s character.
❥ The “I Clean When I Feel Powerless” Mechanism That sparkling sink? Not about hygiene. That’s grief control. That’s despair in a Clorox wipe. Let it speak volumes in the silence of a spotless room.
❥ The “I Pretend I Don’t Need Help” Lie They say, “I’m fine” like it’s a full stop. But their hands shake when they think no one’s looking. Let your other characters notice. Let someone care, even when they don’t ask for it.
❥ The “I Watch People When They’re Not Watching Me” Curiosity Not in a creepy way. In a poet’s way. In a “who are you when no one’s clapping” way. They love the in-between moments: laughter in elevators, fidgeting before speeches. That's who they are—observers, not performers.

The fun thing about people with ocs is that you can just ask them about their ocs opinions. Like oh what would your oc say about this. What would they think. How would they tell me good night. It's great

Looking for a Whump RP server? Perhaps this will be of interest.
A hundred years ago, reality split, allowing chaos and sorts of things to spill through into this reality and especially Earth as well!
The world fell into a desperate scramble that it hasn’t recovered from since but one city appears to be doing just fine.
Welcome to the Twice Torn City! A place of who knows where and god knows when. Where reality folded on itself and now the ground and the sky it all city skyline. Though don’t worry, the transportation is perfectly safe here.
This is a place where your neighbor just got infected by an alien parasite and your uber is driven by a gorgon. Humans can survive just fine in this reality as well, for a price.
Powers, mutations, manifestations are all too common here. Use them for good, evil, agony, no one’s going to stop you. If you play your cards right.
Different factions vie for control and power over the city, whether that be the government funded “Hero” organizations, the underground rings of criminal, villains of the week or more.
Laboratories and government funded projects the galore as well, the phenomenon of the city’s chaos is something to be studied afterall. Plus, if one, two or even twenty people vanish. No one will know.
(Hero, Villain, Lab, Pet whump and more are available. This is quite the lawless city.)
And remember! No one is truly ever safe.
Twice Torn is a 17+ whump rp server created by me.
We are all here to have some of our blorbos be hurt and some of our other blorbos to do the hurting and so for that to happen. Some rules are, Extremely necessary.
We have a three strikes policy. Though if the offense is egregious, you might be banned outright.
We expect everyone to be civil and respectful and mature. No racism, homophobia, transphobia, and ableism will be tolerated.
Communication is expected to be clear and obvious. This is role play, communication is the most necessary part of making this work. So please please please, talk to eachother and communicate.
Everyone has their own limits, and those limits should be respected. (We will have a triggers and squicks channel) If you are uncomfortable, please speak up. If you need something censored because it is triggering, please speak up.
There will be no outright NSFW, relationships and fades to black are considered fine. Innuendos, if properly censored are allowed as well.
Lying about your age will not be tolerated, when you are caught you will be banned immediately.
This is an OC exclusive server (We will be using tuppers) It is alright if a character is based off of an existing medium, but please try to keep it original and balanced. The key factor of Twice Torn is that No one is truly safe in this city. And we expect that expectation to be met.
Please do not bring drama from other servers into this one. If there is genuine concern over the safety of having someone on this server please contact a moderator.
This is an invite only server as, we do not wish for this place to get flooded. Our moderation can only do so much and we do not wish for them to get overworked.
This is also due to the fact that I am sadly, an elder god trapped within a flesh form and so I have a life to live outside of this server.
Twice torn will be a collaborative plot centric server and events will happen, either caused by the rp itself or the admins. (Which is another reason why communication is highly important)
And remember, this is a whump server first and foremost, and we are here to have fun!
#friend server#whump rp#whump#whumpblr#whump writing#come have fun with us!!!#spiral made a super cool world full of lore and oddities!! come explore

A character so out of their head with fever, illness, or trauma and memories so fragmented that they're convinced they're guilty of some unspeakable deed or fault based on the half-recalled snatches of memory they've badly pieced together in their delirium, raving in anguished, garbled rantings of their muddled, misplaced guilt.

Good Traits Gone Bad
Exploring good traits gone bad in a novel can add depth and complexity to your characters. Here are a few examples of good traits that can take a negative turn:
1. Empathy turning into manipulation: A character with a strong sense of empathy may use it to manipulate others' emotions and gain an advantage.
2. Confidence becoming arrogance: Excessive confidence can lead to arrogance, where a character belittles others and dismisses their opinions.
3. Ambition turning into obsession: A character's ambition can transform into an unhealthy obsession, causing them to prioritize success at any cost, including sacrificing relationships and moral values.
4. Loyalty becoming blind devotion: Initially loyal, a character may become blindly devoted to a cause or person, disregarding their own well-being and critical thinking.
5. Courage turning into recklessness: A character's courage can morph into reckless behavior, endangering themselves and others due to an overestimation of their abilities.
6. Determination becoming stubbornness: Excessive determination can lead to stubbornness, where a character refuses to consider alternative perspectives or change their course of action, even when it's detrimental.
7. Optimism becoming naivety: Unwavering optimism can transform into naivety, causing a character to overlook dangers or be easily deceived.
8. Protectiveness turning into possessiveness: A character's protective nature can evolve into possessiveness, where they become overly controlling and jealous in relationships.
9. Altruism becoming self-neglect: A character's selflessness may lead to neglecting their own needs and well-being, to the point of self-sacrifice and burnout.
10. Honesty becoming brutal bluntness: A character's commitment to honesty can turn into brutal bluntness, hurting others with harsh and tactless remarks.
These examples demonstrate how even admirable traits can have negative consequences when taken to extremes or used improperly. By exploring the complexities of these traits, you can create compelling and multi-dimensional characters in your novel.
Happy writing!

Art Commissions
For the first time, I am trying out art commissions! To start out I’ll be opening two slots, just so that I can gauge interest and figure out my pacing. If there is interest past those two, I can start a waiting list of people to contact when I’m ready to open up more slots!
You can see examples of my art style above (click for better quality). I work from photos, but if you don’t have a photo face claim of your OC that’s alright! I can work with you to find something that works for both of us.
As stated in the picture, prices range from $30-35 depending on details like hair style/type. I’ll let you know the final price asap after seeing your character refs.
Not interested in/can’t get a commission right now? That’s alright! I’d appreciate a reblog so I can reach a wider audience.
