Oasis Springs Makeover: Landgraab + Zest

• Geoffrey is a kind soul who likes building model trains. He has one small room in the house dedicated to his hobby which Nancy generously allows. He's been secretly sending money to Johnny to help him pay rent thinking Nancy doesn't know, but she absolutely does. No money gets taken out of Geoffrey's bank account without her checking on it. She's letting it slide for now, waiting to see how long he'll keep doing it before she confronts him.

• Nancy wields power like a ruler of old (literally and figuratively, she will shut down your power if you're even a day late on your bill payments). One icy glare from her is enough to make anyone from the greenest retail worker to the most hardened businessman quiver in fear.

• Malcolm is that one rich kid who drives to school in a fancy car that costs more than his yearly tuition. He pays one of the chess club members to do his homework and utters "do you know who my family is?" at least once a day when he doesn't get what he wants.

• Johnny's the definition of a starving artist comedian, living in a trailer park in the kitschy part of Oasis Springs his mother and brother wouldn't be caught dead in. So far he's gotten small gigs at local bars and lounges and does guided tours of supposed alien landing sites on the side. His next goal is to audition for the Humor & Hijinks Festival in San Myshuno.

Willow Creek Renovation: Garden Essence

I turned the lot into a residential rental because it made more sense to fill up the space that way. I referenced some existing apartments in New Orleans and ended up with 5 units + 1 unit meant for the property owner (who is the type to leave a Winterfest tree in the lobby all year so they don't have to keep taking it down and putting it back up).

The units are not very big even with 3 bedrooms, which I think fits well for a group of young adult friends. The common area furniture is a mix of flea market finds and freebies from friends and family. Liberty is the only one who painted a wall in her bedroom even though it's not allowed, the other two don't want to get in trouble lol.

As a bonus, I renovated one of the other units and moved in Brandi Broke who I remade from TS2. She lives on the second floor with her younger sons Beau and Skip Jr. (Dustin is already a premade young adult and making it big in Del Sol Valley, he doesn't visit much).

Willow Creek Makeover: BFF Household

• Travis will spend all his time binge watching old sci-fi shows on his computer if the other two don't force him out of the house.

• Liberty is a kawaii weeb who's always planning her next big cosplay for GeekCon.

• Summer wants to start a running club in Willow Creek. Attempts to get her two roommates to join have not been successful so far but she'll be posting advertisement flyers on all the downtown lampposts soon.

Willow Creek Renovation: Cypress Terrace

I wanted to keep the house looking modern, which is not a style I do much so it was a challenge. I also tried to put a lot of open space and minimal clutter because I like to imagine Eric prefers his house to be clean and sleek. The only exceptions are Alice's studio which is covered in paint and Olivia's bedroom because kids' rooms look more realistic when they're cluttered.

Willow Creek Makeover: Spencer-Kim-Lewis

• Vivian is the cheeriest grandma who's so thrilled she gets to live with family.

• Dennis dreads the day his granddaughter starts throwing house parties. He works every day on his little garden which is his refuge from the bustle of the main house.

• Eric believes in reaching peak financial success. He's a doctor who enjoys filet mignon and watching the PolitiSim channel.

• Alice now has a brow piercing to go with her tattoos. The complete opposite of her husband, she's a bohemian artist who believes in the power of mood-altering crystals that fall from the sky after a thunderstorm.

• Olivia loves jokes and always tells any new ones she learns to her grandparents first. Her hobbies include making friendship bracelets and seasonal crafts.

Willow Creek Renovation: Pique Hearth

Added a little bit more colour to the Pancakes family home! Bob gets a renovated modern kitchen where he can cook to his heart's content while Eliza gets her own private office where she sends important business emails. Iggy's bedroom is the simplest and is mostly green, since that is Eliza's favourite colour in my game.

• Bob now gets to wear a bunch of Home Chef Hustle clothes despite commuting to his job. It doesn't seem to have helped his mood.

• Eliza is in the Business career and takes her work very seriously.

• Iggy is just happy to be here :D

Willow Creek Renovation: Ophelia Villa

The Goths got an in-game house update but then I tore it down and built a new one! Heavily referenced the Theodore Carpenter House for the exterior but kept it in dark colours or else it wouldn't be a Goth family home.

Willow Creek Makeover: Goth

• I aged Bella up to Adult because I wanted her to be closer in age to Mortimer and I think it makes her look even more sophisticated.

• Mortimer's got a little salt and pepper now to give him an extra ~distinguished~ air.

• Unlike her parents, posing for photos doesn't come naturally to Cassandra. She just awkwardly hunches over when she's in front of the camera.

• Alexander is rocking the prep school nerd look and likes reading math textbooks three grades above him.

BONUS:

I created Bella's brother Michael Bachelor for the save file. He's a fashion photographer and lives in a penthouse in San Myshuno. He dates someone new every month and falls in and out of love very quickly (Bella stopped trying to keep track of his partners a long time ago and despairs of him ever settling down).

Treasure: You always talk about wanting to explore other places, though. Why don't we go on vacation to Selvadorada like we've always talked about? Get some sun and soak up some culture. We can escape the cloudy weather here for a bit.
