his nickname for her in my head is Sunshine.

Caleb is strongly associated with storms and being MC's protection from storms but also cloudy skies, being lost.... MC brings him home (what pipsqueak is nodding to, a navigation/homing system)

however. Caleb and CalebMC are strongly associated with childhood nostalgia, summertime, warmth... he has a line in the cafe when you move around him about sunflowers turning to face the sun and how hes "no different". He's the sunflower, turning to find MC, the sun

She's his Sunshine, the warmth when he feels cold or can't feel at all. They are the moon and sun, eternally chasing each other, she shines on him, he reflects her light, always moving through the same sky together, even when they're apart.

so I'm considering writing some stuff for L&DS and I really do love the 2nd person/MC-is-reader format but I always get stuck with her name

I HATE y/n and refuse to do that

I have a headcanon for what her name could be with the initials of MC but that might not clear while reading its an acronym/shortened name so I'll probably avoid that too

I found this post on reddit theorizing the boys last names in En as well as hers and this one too

what's everyones opinion on reading fic where MC is named something like Mei/Maye/May? Would it take you out of the story for a name to be used at all? I have some ideas and just wanna get the fandoms opinion on this!
