Interested in a tumblr community dedicated to Aphrodite? I have just created the 'Grove of Aphrodite' - it is a 13+ space for all worshippers of the pluriform goddess.

I will be posting my resources and calendar and here to keep the community updated with worship/academic information and festivals for Aphrodite!

❀ . . A Prayer to Aphrodite

On your dappled throne, Aphrodite—deathless, ruse-devising daughter of Zeus: O Lady, never crush my spirit with pain and needless sorrow, I beg you.

Rather come—if ever some moment, years past, hearing from afar my despairing voice, you listened, left your father’s great golden halls, and came to my succor,

Yoking sparrows, lovely and swift, to drive down, leaving heaven, chariot sailing mid- sky over black earth, feather-thick wings densely beating the clear air—

Quick arrival. You, O my Blessed Goddess, ageless lips then beautifully smiling at me, asked me what had caused me such pain and made me cry out again now:

⸝⸝⸝ I will be creating content in both educational and devotional veins, my religion is incredibly important to me and I love to yap about it. I am a 'devotee' of multiple gods, namely Aphrodite who will be the center of my blog. I do also worship the Oikos gods (Hekate, Hestia, Hermes etc.) as well as the rustic and earth gods (Demeter, Pan, Nymphai etc.) and of course Zeus & Hera. I do worship multiple pantheons, including the Roman, Etruscan and whichever ones are relevant to me at the time. I strongly believe in informed practice and so some may equate that to being Recon but I prefer to not use terms like this as I think they are simply means of division in our community.

⸝⸝⸝ I am aspiring to practice goêteia or sorcery, this is a greco-sycretic practice - I myself am focusing on greco-roman sorcery. This kind of practice is rather secretive but I aspire to share my musings about what i've learned and what I plan to do with what I've learned. Hekate, Hermes and Aphrodite are at the center of my sorcery practice and education. ⸝⸝⸝ I am an aspiring ritual expert and am under the tutelage of well-educated scholars for my practice, I intend to establish a cult for Aphrodite in the future. My studies for this are intensive and have a deep focus on ritual practice and cult practice - I will most likely share my learnings with everyone as a method of studying and engaging in the community! ˓ ❀ ꒰ ⸝⸝ important and misc ::

⸝⸝⸝ I dont have a DNI but I am generally not accepting of bigotry in any form. I am adult, I prefer to not engage with Minors but I wont refuse appropriate communication. Nova Roma and the like can get far far away, wiccans as well. ⸝⸝⸝ I may be inactive for periods at a time, but I will always come back!
