Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Lacey Swirlcrest!

the last of the six swirlcrest siblings is finally here! <3

this is the one i’m most excited about! there’s a lottttt to her that i wrote and i’m so stoked to show you guys :•D

This is the last known portrait of Princess Lacey Swirlcrest (she/her), taken in December of 2004, just a few days short of her fifteenth birthday. She has since disappeared completely from the public eye, and would be twenty/twenty-one by now.

Lacey was the second born child of the Swirlcrest family, only behind one year after the eldest son, Pierce. Her presence would light up rooms, almost like a deep breath of fresh air. Her bouncy milktea curls flowed through the breeze and her pearls added an opulent, hyperfeminine look.

Despite having the poise, kindness and elegance of a conventional princess, she had a rebellious side to her, always running off somewhere during important family matters or just taking big risks, as encouraged by her older brother.

Lacey was kind to everyone, with the citizens of Sorbetopia that have met her before her unexplainable disappearance saying that she was like a warm light that made everyone’s day. Her eyes were as bright as the stars and were full of life, being such a promising young girl with such a future ahead of her.

Unfortunately, on the fateful day of December 31st of 2004, Lacey had vanished, seemingly without a trace. Even her family has no idea what had happened to her, but they moved on so fast, almost too fast.

There are rumors that Lacey had died ages ago, some say she ran off with some noble prince from another kingdom, and some say she’s still there in Sorbetopia under everyone’s radar.

Lacey is inspired by neapolitan ice cream!

Lacey is a transgender woman! She came to realize her identity at fourteen years old, beginning to dress more feminine and go by her current name!

She adores writing poetry, and it’s her favorite pastime!

Lacey’s crown had gone missing at the time that this picture had been taken.

As a child, Lacey would almost always run off into the forest, seemingly going to any nearby town to hang out with people outside of the kingdom as a way to take a breather from the life of being a princess.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Levi Swirlcrest!

i’m very surprised i’m actually finishing this LAMDKAHDJWJCWJ i’m rly proud of myself for getting this far 😭 this next sibling is probably gonna get bricks thrown at him but maybe it’s deserved /j

The youngest of the Swirlcrest family is none other than the infamous, irritable, and aggravating Levi Swirlcrest (he/him).

The people of Sorbetopia dread the moment Levi walks out of the castle, doing anything they can to prevent falling for Levi’s little mischievous pranks. However, most of Levi’s pranks are almost completely exclusive to his own family, and why so? He just likes terrorizing them the most.

Sometimes, he can get away with the silly things he does to the family, Being the youngest and most hyperactive of the siblings, they mostly shrug it off and think that it’s just Levi being Levi.

Levi, unlike every other family member, doesn’t seem to have a specific care for the kingdom. He’s thirteen, and believes he should have his time to be a kid instead of worrying about any royal conflict all the time. He enjoys causing a bit of chaos, but what’s a family without it?

He owns almost every single Green Goop card, and has a large binder displaying each one.

Out of all of his siblings, Levi likes Amelia the least, but then again, neither does anyone else.

The outfit that Levi has on once belonged to one of his siblings, which has long since unexpectedly disappeared.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Blaire Swirlcrest!

back at it again with another addition to the family !!!!!

we’re on the final stretch with two remaining after this one, i’m very surprised i’ve gotten this far LMFAO

The second youngest of the Swirlcrest siblings is Blaire Swirlcrest (she/her).

She has quite an eye for fashion! Looking the most opulent out of her brothers and sisters, Blaire always makes the whole room turn their heads!

Blaire walks with her head held high, full of confidence and elegance as stated by many of Sorbetopia’s inhabitants. It’s almost like she was born with it! On top of that, she’s as sweet as can be.

Contrast to all of her other family members before her, Blaire never really found the time to specify what part or characteristic of the kingdom she cares for, but she generally loves every little thing about Sorbetopia, down to the smallest thing, believing that when it comes to something as great as a kingdom, everything matters.

Blaire is inspired by peach ice cream!

Blaire is quite a trendsetter, with anything she wears becoming a fad within Sorbetopia.

Her hair is not naturally blonde! Blaire had dyed it because she thought blonde hair suited her more.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Vincent Swirlcrest!

the other half of the swirlcrest twins is here!!!!

this is one of my favorite ones to make, i hope you guys like it too!!!! :•D

The fourth sibling within the royal family, and second half of the twins, is Vincent Swirlcrest (he/they).

One may be surprised to know that Vincent is the twin to Amelia, and nobody would blame you one bit. He is a completely different person compared to her, and is honestly more pleasant to be around.

Vincent is a super mellow, peaceful prince who enjoys his time outside, tending to the castle’s gardens and Sorbetopia’s overall nature landmarks. He’s almost always seen outside tending to something, and has quite a green thumb, so much so that the people of Sorbetopia had equated him to a “guardian of nature”.

They often encourage the citizens to take better care of the kingdom, wanting to keep it as clean as possible, and has even influenced his father into adding a rule where it’s prohibited to destroy any greenery within Sorbetopia’s grounds.

Vincent is inspired by pistachio ice cream!

Vincent barely opens his eyes. Due to this, he has a heightened sense of hearing and feeling.

His crown is the only one made out of bronze and various rocks and stones, not opting for the usual gold and crystals of the other members of the family.

Their favorite season is spring, mostly due to everything going back to green and everything blooming.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Amelia Swirlcrest!

HAPPY BLOCK TALES DEMO 4 DAY!!!!!!!

we’re halfway through the royal family! only another four to go and then we’ll get into the canon characters and potentially any side characters!!!!

the next addition to the family is a bit of an interesting one!! :0

The next sibling to be introduced is none other than Amelia Swirlcrest (she/her).

The third sibling in the family became the next hope for a proper successor for the throne after her older brother, Pierce, showed disinterest in being the heir to the throne and due to an unexplained, sudden absence of the second born sibling.

Due to this, the queen and king pay a little extra attention to Amelia, preparing her for whatever comes her way. However, it does appear that it may be a bit of a longer process to get her to be the perfect example of a queen.

According to the citizens of Sorbetopia, Amelia does seem to be a little full of herself. Of course, she’s as nice and humble as she tries to be, but it can’t be denied that Amelia does sometimes get the whole “Sorbetopia’s next queen” thing in her head a bit too much. She still has quite a lot to learn.

Amelia is inspired by lemon ice cream, being a bit reflective of her being nice but with a little self-centeredness just like the bittersweet characteristics of lemon ice cream.

She is 1/2 of a set of twins, the other half being a complete 180 of herself.

She can be a bit bossy towards her younger siblings, including her twin since she considers herself older (by two minutes, at least), but won’t dare to do so with her parents and Pierce.

Due to her absolutely dying to become the next queen, she started styling her hair similar to her mother’s.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Pierce Swirlcrest!

it’s a brand new week, so that means yet another new character to introduce!!!

i had a lot of fun designing him and i’m so proud of how he turned out!!! i hope you enjoy hearing about the first of the swirlcrest siblings :) i’ll actually reveal another character next week instead of two days from now this time LMAOO

The first of King and Queen Swirlcrest’s children is Prince Pierce Swirlcrest (he/him)

Pierce is a little rough around the edges. Although he keeps himself clean and proper, there’s a side to him that loves an adventure, and isn’t afraid of getting a bit hurt, judging by the scars on his face.

Growing up, being heir to the throne never really seemed to be interesting to Pierce. Instead, he was absolutely enamored by the bravery, strength, and honor of becoming a knight after seeing Sorbetopia’s own army of knights venture off for a quest. However, King Swirlcrest disapproved of this, opting for him to inherit the throne once he goes.

According to the citizens of Sorbetopia, Pierce is quite the strong one. He has quite a fiery passion about wanting to protect the kingdom, no matter the consequences or how much danger he’d put himself in. There’s always something worth protecting in Pierce’s eyes.

Pierce is the only family member to not have their crown on in their portrait, reflective of his disinterest in such a high status.

His appearance is inspired by ube flavored ice cream!

He’s formed a close friendship with a knight who teaches him how to fight with a sword and proper knight practices during their free time.

Pierce has a pet horse named Spear!

King Swirlcrest once suggested that he should cover up his scars, but Pierce sees them as battle scars and wears them proudly like a badge.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet Queen Swirlcrest!

today’s my birthday!!!! :D since i’ve been free all day i just decided to go ahead and work on the next character and reveal her LMAO

the next character on our list is one of the nicest ladies ever, the queen of sorbetopia!! :3

Ruling alongside her husband, King Swirlcrest, is Queen Julianna Swirlcrest (she/her).

Queen Swirlcrest is a notable figure within the Swirlcrest family. She handles everything with profession and care, and looks after her kingdom. She’s as wise as they come, and has always been labeled as a natural leader during her early years in life by several peers.

According to Sorbetopia’s citizens, Queen Swirlcrest is passionate about her people. A pacifist at heart, Queen Swirlcrest does everything in her power to keep Sorbetopia a place for everyone to live peacefully and to welcome anyone with open arms. To her, everyone always has a place here.

Queen Swirlcrest is very loosely inspired by blue moon ice cream, with a bit of a more royal-like color scheme.

She was once a member of a separate royal family to a kingdom that has since fallen. Ever since then, she’s lived in Sorbetopia after being paired with King Swirlcrest.

Her crown is the only one within the family that dons a crystal, with said crystal being a sapphire.

She’s a little more laidback than King Swirlcrest! Although at least expecting some form of goodness within her children and citizens, she never expects perfection.

Tales of Sorbetopia: Meet King Swirlcrest!

hello again!!!!! for the next couple of weeks (hopefully LOL) i’ll be revealing each and every character within the tales of sorbetopia story!

(hopefully) around every week, one character will be revealed with facts, info and such!! :D

for this week, you’ll be meeting the big man himself, the king of sorbetopia!!

The first of many to meet is Sorbetopia’s highly respected ruler, King Graham Swirlcrest (he/him).

King Swirlcrest has seen many things come and go throughout his long reign, both good and bad. He had been crowned king at a young age, and has since been keeping the family’s legacy alive, with a beautiful wife and five potential successors to the throne, the Swirlcrest family’s legacy will seemingly never end.

According to the civilians of Sorbetopia, King Swirlcrest seems to care deeply about the positive reputation of his kingdom and the prestige of his family. Even if it meant that he had to resort to desperate measures, he always strives to keep the name of his family and kingdom away from scandals and scuffles. He expects perfection from Sorbetopia’s citizens and for his family to lead by example.

He wields a heavy staff resembling a caramel-golden triple scoop ice cream cone, further adding to his already opulent attire. His crown is made of the same material, and his cloak is embroidered in a way to resemble a classic wafer cone.

King Swirlcrest is inspired by vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzle as a topping, an old fashioned flavor for an old fashioned man.

The gem on his cloak is amber!

He began ruling Sorbetopia at the age of 21, shortly after the sudden death of his father.

The cap on his crown resembles vanilla ice cream scoops!

He doesn’t take much of a liking to Turitopulis. Nobody knows why.

introducing: possibly the biggest project i’ve ever done in my life!!!!!!

over the past couple of months (since december of 2024) since i’ve been into block tales, i’ve been working on a rly big project i’m hoping i can finish up in its entirety 🙏 this fan concept/au is one of my most favorite things to ever work on especially considering how long it’s taken me to work on all these characters and the overall storyline!!

i’ll be sharing more things about this project soon, with the first things being updated reference sheets with additional characters, along with much more i’m hoping to share real soon <3

because i’m extra, here’s a little description of what’s to come for this very special project i’m super proud of :•)

“To the east of the tropical, warm climate of Turitopulis lies someplace different, someplace bigger, someplace colorful.

After a long travel through Turitopulis’ forest and through a newly found wooded area with trees made of strawberry ice cream, the golden gates welcome you to the humble kingdom of Sorbetopia.

Civilians are welcoming with open arms, thoughtful gestures and acts of hospitality. Every piece of architecture seems to take inspiration from various ice creams, sherbets, and sorbets alike. It’s a place where the rivers are filled with milk and honey, a place to live in bliss and harmony.

A strong-willed and humble king, a caring and helpful queen, and their five children all make up Sorbetopia’s prestigious royal family. The family is just as—if not more kind than the civilians of their kingdom.

However, something feels off, like something is missing. The civilians act a bit too kind, and the royal family seems a bit sketchy, almost like they are all performing under a façade.

There’s more to the colorful kingdom that meets the eye, and that’s where our tales start, the Tales of Sorbetopia.”
