Here we see Travis Davis give a quick tip for a common problem. As you will see, a very common problem with your system could be as simple as the drain being blocked. Slime and other contents will accumulate in the drain and the blockage will shut the HVAC system down if the unit is not able to flush out the fluids. In the video Travis points out that a clear indicator of this problem is if you remove the cap on the drain/Safety-T-Switch and find the pipe backed up with water. Use a vacuum to remove the blockage in the pipe, and an extra tip can be to pour some bleach down the drain to flush out and kill any remaining contaminants.

In this video, owner of Perfected Air Solutions LLC Travis Davis is performing a service call to a residence. Step by step Travis runs diagnostics on the AC system and spots a few different problems that he needed to address. He noticed a faulty defrost board, faulty capacitor, and that the system was low on refrigerant. In this video Travis is performing a service visit to a customer who stated that her outdoor fan was not running. Being able to run the proper diagnostics is essential to be successful in HVAC. Travis performs a swap out and replaces the old (dead) capacitor with a new one. This is a very common problem that occurs when an AC unit shuts down, especially during the hot summer months. Here we see Mr. Travis Davis giving a brief demonstration about some general knowledge with regards to an HVAC system. The HVAC system has been decomposed and the components have been screwed onto this piece of plywood in hopes of providing a clearer picture of the voltage pathway during this process. Travis takes us through how the HVAC system receives it's power from the disconnect, bringing in 240Volts and being "stepped-down" by the transformer to provide the thermostat with the proper (lower) voltage needed to power it. From there the thermostat communicates the conditions of the HVAC system by sending a call out to the contactor. Once the contactor receives the 24 volt call from the thermostat, it will then kick the 240 volt charge to the condenser motor and start the unit.
