None of these make you a bad person. All you can do is try your best to be kind and just to people, grow and learn.

why is everything so fucking expensive

This whole thing about scanning your face to prove tour age is making me remember, in 2018 while out in paris we got our wallet stolen during a particularly busy night at a lesbian bar. It was very late and with no money to buy metro tickets we were effectively stranded, but some people helped us and we ended up staying the night at a really sweet older man's place. His face was deeply scarred and he was missing an eye. We chatted on our way and he told me about his life, probably to help calm me down. He explained he had been stuck in a house fire 20 years ago and had had multiple rounds of facial reconstruction and a skin graft, but there's only so much surgery can do so he just learned to live with it. I remember he said he liked the queer bars because they're the only place people don't really stare at him.

At some point I took out my phone, and at the time I was using face unlock. This prompted him to tell me all the ways this technology doesn't work on him. How his phone selfie camera doesn't focus right because it's not detecting a face. How he had to update his ID the old fashioned way, because the website kept rejecting his photos. And how it was becoming more and more common, and how it was making his life way harder.

This was 7 years ago, and now whenever I see this sort of technology I think of how that guy can't use it. And how house fires are pretty common, and how anything from being born this way to a skin condition to heavy tattooing can probably cause the same issue. Can these people get age verified ? Will they just lose access to all social media, which are increasingly necessary in society, if this becomes the norm ? These are people who are already driven out of public spaces due to how they look, and they're getting pushed out online too all in the interest of companies wanting more money.

I have a lot in my mind these days. I have a lot of resentment. A lot of anger.

Do I really have to earn at least half a million in this world in order for me to get to please my brothers, and meet my father and mother's expectation of me, afford everything that this capitalism is telling me to be?

If I meet their expectations of me, does the gun in my head will disappear? Will every problem be solved? It won't. In fact, it will cost me my life. Is it really laughable when I suffer? From your own point of view? Is it me or is it you who masked your own sufferings instead of facing them.

Do I not deserve to bring myself to a doctor where I am the one paying and taking care of my health just because I do not earn the same as my brothers?

Am I less deserving of all the good things and comfort in life just because I couldn't earn as much as you? because I couldn't live my life the way you think it should be?

Does it make you unhappy when I am living my own life in my own ways?

Am I less deserving to live because I didn't come from a well-off family? am I less deserving to live because no one wanted me to exist as a child? because I had a mother who ruined a family. And I have a father that is so emotionally unavailable who only thinks of himself.

Am I not deserving of every luck I get? because right now, at this age, I feel a lot and think a lot of everything I've been through and most of the time, it wasn't my problem in the first place. It was the people around me projecting every single insecurities with me.

I remember everything I am told. I remember people's words who told that I am a person with no future because I shouldn't have existed in the first place.

You told me that you only remember the good things. the good memories. Does that mean that I belong to the bad ones? I was the bad memory. Even before I was born, my existence feels like a curse. I shouldn't have been born. Maybe you would have the ideal family in your mind now. For years, I have shed tears. I have pondered. I have sit with myself. I've been with myself for so long more than anyone else.

I am going to be okay even if I feel like killing myself today. I am going to be okay because I have laid a foundation with myself that thru hard days, I will take it easy and write as much as I can. Read as much as I can. Cry as much as I can.

I already have experienced having the right people who appreciates me for who I am without associating me with the past. They have helped me be who I am today.

I am thankful for that.

today... i have realized that at some point in my life... i will decide to leave this place. i will leave this place as i am meant to be somewhere that requires my power. its like i am meant for bigger things. i am meant to be somewhere that will require my balanced presence. i am meant to be somewhere that will need a piece of my mind. i am meant to meet new people that will require my presence to be in their life even for a brief moment. and i will also have to leave some people as my presence already have done its purpose. i will leave my parent's home as i will be living in my own place where new dreams and changes and growth and alignment and love are waiting for me. i will be at a place much bigger than where i am now. i will be at a place much more beautiful than this place where i am in. i am meant to live my own life in any ways i want as much as i can and this is such a relief for me to know that... during the past years, i have always not been stuck in the same place for so long. i am always moving. changing. living life as much as i can. living through it all.

i have realized that i have been so much in this life. no wonder i am at the tower of gratitude. i am thankful i get to live this life and get a chance to fight, create, curate, love, and care for my own world that only I have access.
