We went out the other day and I spotted this pile of firewood. I thought it would make a nice background for a cute picture 😊 Little Saito was having a sandwich break after posing with his new glasses for a while 👓 He just looks absolutely adorable with them! 🥰💞

I'm aware @blueneil already pointed out that the group picture is a redraw of other official art, but did you know the original SSL splash art was a redraw as well? (I guess it's a little more obvious... I feel it really highlights that SSL started as an April Fool's joke that evolved well beyond its original intention)

Bonus (this has nothing to do with SSL, but it's also an official "modern" redraw with tons of jokes and (yankee-related) puns in it).

That day it was very hot outside, the sun was shining brightly ☀️ I got this hammock in a sale and desperately wanted to try it out, I also saw an opportunity to make use of the mini laptop that I had lying around for a while. So despite the heat I went to the garden to take some pics and I had a lot of fun setting everything up! 💖 I think little Saito had a good time vibing too 😎😆💻🍾

On a spring day quite some time back, after I made a kimono and scarf for little Saito, I went out on the first photoshoot with him. Finding a pink cherry blossom tree in my area wasn’t an easy task but after a while I got lucky and found one 🌸 We had fun! 🤭🫶💖

This Saito doll is the most recent that I made 🌸 He‘s around 15 cm tall and I used actual doll eyes for the first time, I like how he turned out 🥰

In Aizu waits the bitter truth that Hijikata is rapidly losing his grip on everything. His hard work has not paid off, the man he idolised was sentenced to death like a common criminal, Aizu is fighting a losing battle-- and his trusted subordinate has made the decision to drink the Ochimizu, something he'd never thought would happen.

I genuinely think that Hijikata really felt lost in the months he spent in Aizu. He's bombarded to be a guidepost for all who still wants to fight, all while loosing sight of his own guidepost.

I think he's genuinely trying to keep what (or rather whom) he has left (maybe desperately so), leaving Shimada to help Saitou. And after facing losses in Aizu (by word of mouth) and Sendai (in front of him), he will make the decision to distance himself from the one person he has left. At least she'll be safe away from him.

But that's for another time.

I bought a little hoodie for my Saito bjd but it was too big, so I tried if it fits Saito nitotan and it does ☺️ He looks really cute in it 😍 I got the idea to make a little hat for him and crocheted a kitty hat in the same colors like the hoodie is. I think it suits him 🐱💖

I‘m a huge nendoroid and ball joint doll fan and I‘ve always wished for a Saito one but it hasn‘t happened yet 🥺 I don’t give up hope tho, we already have an Okita nendo, so maybe we will get Saito too someday 🙏 Out of the wish for a Saito doll, I came up with the idea to make my own. Used an original figure head which I edited a bit and a bjd body and he was born! 🥰💕 This is the first pic I took of him after he was assembled 3 years ago, I quickly made some simple clothes for him too so that he didn’t have to be naked 🤭
