I am relatively open about being on Pedi, here, and I am very used to Opsec being preached strongly over there, due to how the platform can be, or can be perceived.

There's a small part of that, where your images contain something called metadata. This can include information of the photo. For the record, this includes your location, depending on if the scanner one may be using can find it.

Now, of course, this is primarily because your phone camera does ask for the location of the photo. Please, for the love of everything that is holy or sinister, TURN THAT OFF.

Meta data can be scrapped off of images with websites that can delete them, but not all will work, and some can be spotty, even.

Whenever I post things like art on Pedi, I scrape my data from them when I remember to [if not, you can edit images and be fine-ish or better than prior ^^]

I just. This was brought up as a concern. This IS a concern and can quickly become information that can get you doxxed, especially if you have the location for camera on.

If it helps, you can get some grapheneOS apps on Android, but I don't know about too much with iOS. [This is, ngl, partially a reason I wanna, when we actually get to researching on meeting locations irl eventually, find a way to give pixels to people and have a pile of those eventually, even if second-hand; give em for free, too, safety and privacy should not cost anything.] I have the GrapheneOS Camera, for my sake and comfort, but there are other apps out there.
