Seeing people say "obviously she would kill Mami, Mami was trying to kill everyone", and I think people are kind of missing the point. Like yes it's logical in this situation to kill Mami, since she's the one who is shooting everyone unprovoked, but you have to remember that Madoka has been shown by this point in the anime to adore Mami, both as her senpai and as a friend, and this care Madoka has for Mami causes her to feel an extreme amount of grief, and other feelings after her death in the anime's timeline, so the fact that in this moment she's able to put that aside and do what has to be done to save Homura's life is very telling. Not everyone would be able to end a friends life, even if they were clearly a threat, and we're never given a scene where she's shown to do that for anyone else, so in my opinion it's pretty telling for her character.

“madoka is the normal one”, “homura loves madoka more than madoka loves her” uhm madoka has canonically killed one of her best friends for homura without hesitation. are we forgetting that

No one else is gonna say it, so I will. Madoka's wish barely fixed anything lol. Like I don't care how bad what Homura did was, something had to change! Like all Madoka did was give Magical Girls a cutesy death, instead of becoming a witch, and like yeah that's a step in the right direction (I guess...?), but we can do better! Homura pulling such a crazy stunt, is what we needed to create the opportunity for the characters to criticize the law of cycles and decide if they actually agree with it (which they should have the right to do, considering it's their lives been saved). Anyway, Iroha, Ui, Touka, and Nemu did it better, sorry Madoka, still love you! Hope you and your wife can figure something out in the new movie! <3

i love madohomu but im also really annoyed with how madohomu shippers treat madoka like she's an object that's owed to homura.

"madoka betrayed homura by ascending to godhood" idk how to tell y'all this but homura isn't the only magical girl to have ever suffered. all of them were suffering under a cruel system and madoka saved them from it, including homura.

this is gonna sound mean but homura isn't owed madoka, no matter how much they love each other. homura deserves a happy ending, but madoka is her own person with her own autonomy.
