          he simply blinks as she takes his head into her hands. he doesn’t know what to expect when she speaks, only that she didn’t look too bad in a pair of glasses. and so he returns the stare with the same amount of intensity.

          ❛ pretty ?? hah…if you say so. ❜ he could hardly believe there was anything pretty about them or any comfort found within them. they were just…his eyes.

          damn. he couldn’t just leave her like that. as much as he wanted to escape with his life, the gentleman thief within him could not abandon a “lady” on the ground. and so he doubles back to extend a hand to her. a mistake, for sure, but he’d cross that bridge when he go there. which would be rather soon....
