Short story

The Fisherman and the Jinnee

Author: NJ Dowood

Setting: The action took place close to the sea and occurred in the past, where the setting was the residence of the characters in the story and the site of the event or issue. Characters: The characters in the story are the flounder, the fisherman, and the fisherman’s wife. All three hadan important role in the story and related to each other.

 Falling Action:

Exposition: A fisherman have a loving wife and they have three children in the family. His work is to catch fishes to support his family.

Rising Action: He always use his net four times a day. The first cast he caught a dead donkey. Second cast, he caught a large earthen vassel filled with mud and sand. Third cast, filled with bones and sand, but the last cast, he caught a yellow copper bottle.

Climax:  The Fisherman opens the Bottle and the Jinnee comes out and he want to kill the fisherman because fisherman disturb the jennee.

Falling Action:  The fisherman tricks or fools the Jinnee saying he doesn’t believe the Jinnee can’t be fit in the bottle. The Jinnee show him the bottle, he traps him back into the bottle

Resolution: The fisherman throws the yellow copper bottle away in the sea, where she should lie forever and ever. 

Theme: The writer purpose is to entertain the reader and also taught that we should not be greedy. We should also be grateful for what we have already got. In addition, we also have to remember where we came from so we do not become people who forget themselves and where they came from.

God Sees the Truth but Waits

Author: Leo Tolstoy

Setting: Town of Vladimir, Inn, Siberia, Jail

Exposition:

Aksionov there was a young merchant who live in Vladimir she has a wife named Vanya, he decided to sell their goods to eaarn money. So during summer he decided to travel..

 Rising Action:

When Aksionov met a merchant and drank tea together and later went to the same rooms. As he decided to check in an Inn.

 Climax:

Aksionov founds out that the merchant he met the night before has been found murdered, and the officials accuse him of killing him, since there was a knife with blood stains on it in his bag.

Aksionov suspects Makar, one of the new prisoners of killing the merchant. Later he found out the Makar is planning to break the prison, though he didn’t tell the authorities.

 Resolution:

Makar realized his mistake, and he confessed of killing the merchant and putting the knife inside Aksionovs bag, and he asked him for forgiveness. Aksionov was ordered to go back home, but he was already dead.

Background

Hi my name is Philip Dominic Lacsa from san mateo rizal, I am 18 years old varsity player of Philippine normal university.

When I was young I want to be a football player because of my friends. When I'm bored my hobby is running in our farm and then one day my friends invited me to play football because most of my friends are playing it too so I tried it until I get interested to it. Playing football was really fun and for me it's a little bit easy because I'm good in running so I just need to improve is my skills.

When I was in 5th grade I continued training in our school I persevere to be strong in this sports because there are people that bringing me down and they don't believe on what I can do because of my height. They underestimate me. That situation helps me to focus and I make promise to myself that they will look up to me and respect for who I am. Now I believe that I have proved them wrong because now they respect me and they were amazed and surprised in my skills.

My family

I live in simple family. I have 8 siblings and 7 of them are professionals already. We're not rich and we're not poor but we are happy and contended of what we have. Sometimes we fight but in the end of the day we do not forget that we are family and we should be united no matter what happen. We are a big family and we always help each other when problems comes we know that we can overcome it. We are not perfect but I'm blessed to have them.

My course

The course that I took was Bachelor of physical and Health Education in Philippine Normal University of Manila. I want to be a professional teacher someday. I will apply all the things that I have learned in school and also my life experiences to inspire, to be known, to be respected, and to be a good citizen of the Philippines. I want to be an inspiration to all of my students, I want to teach them in the right path.

BODY IMAGE

In our generation body image is very important. Most of the people right now is defining your personality base on your physical image. Most of the people who judge the look of individual is in social medias so many people afraid of posting their real pictures in social media because they afraid of judging by other people.

My plan about my body image:

no. 1 be proud of yourself.

no. 2 don't be afraid of judging make them your motivation.

no. 3 be the best version of you.

no. 4 and become a role model for others.

SELF AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL WORLD

Lev Vygotzky said that someone need "significant others" to help the someone to improve her/ his self. Because of this statement from Vygotzky i realize many things in my life. Like i need someone who help me to find myself or someone who help me to became a good person.

My Plan about this are:

I share my thoughts to my family, friends and also to someone who really cares for me.

This is very helpful for me and to all because this is a simple reminder to everyone that you need someone to develop your personality or who you are.

This two topics that i chose is very helpful for me and i know this two topics help me to change my weaknesses to Strength.
