A West Virginia University (WVU) graduate with a bachelor's degree in biology, Philip Michael has over 25 years of experience as a pharmacist. At WVU, he was a member of the Mountaineers Marching Band and was inducted into the WVU Student Foundation. Philip Michael went on to earn a BS in pharmacy studies from Long Island University in Brooklyn where he also received a diabetic certification for pharmacists. A long-time presence in the pharmacy field, he was a pharmacy regional manager for the Rite Aid Corporation from 1995 through 1997 where he was responsible for the personnel and inventory of thirty pharmacies covering a 30 million dollar budget. He was instrumental in closing the largest purchase of pharmacies in northern West Virginia for Rite Aid and developed the West Virginia market to previously unseen heights. He remains a devoted fan of the WVU Mountaineers and enjoys sports such as basketball and swimming and traveling with his family.
