Hello, it's me the co-conspirator! And here's the notes I had from when we made these (along with some other teams that didn't get drawn).

First up, Kim- The only one drawn here is his staraptor, a pokemon with sense of fastidiousness and poise similar to the lieutenant. The rest of his team is comprised of Zangoose, Galvantula, Flygon, Jolteon, and Scizor. Flygon...maybe used to belong to someone else. Zangoose is always spoiling for a fight (relating to Kim's itchy trigger finger). Scizor is there for aesthetic and intimidation, as appearance matters so much to him. Jolteon is the pokemon most commonly out, something of a sight assistance and one of the less intimidating team members to give s good first impression. Galvantula is the friendliest, and can have a fondness for a particular member of Harry's team if you get enough Kim points.

Harry- Harry also has a full team but it's almost all depressing, which really what else did you expect? His shown members are Glameow, Herdier, and Feebas, with the additional members of Grubbin, Banette, and Rotom. Herdier is his only truly competent pokemon, and was RCM issued as a patrol dog. It being unevolved is something Jean never lets him live down. Glameow was a gift from Dora, and is kind of a bitch. Tends to claw Harry if he so much as looks at it wrong. Feebas was not a direct gift from Dora, but he got it because Dora had a milotic. His failure to evolve this one haunts him too. Banette is a literal manifestation of his past haunting him. Rotom is a menace, and only very loosely under Harry's control. Has a tendency to possess important equipment at the whilring-in-rags, making Garte even less patient with Harry. The Grubbin is the newest acquisition, quite literally found on the side of the road. He carries it around a lot, and it loves him very very much. This is the one that Kim's Galvantula can come to care for quite a bit.

Okay I'm putting a read more here because this is getting LONG.

Side note before we continue that most characters don't get a full team. Between the state of Revachol on the whole and the way even people in the pokemon universe often only have a couple of them it felt reasonable.

Dora and Dolores Dei- These two get one entry, because their teams directly parallel each other. No one really knows the actual team of the historical Dolores Dei, but in Harry's mind her pokemon are the legendary mirror of those of the Dora he remembers. Sawsbuck (spring) & Xerneas like life itself. Pyroar (male) & Solgaleo bright as the sun. Fearow & Ho-Oh bright as the sun. Musharna used for headache relief and sleep & Cresselia who brings the most perfect sleep and dreams. Staryu & Jarachi who makes wishes real. Cottonee & Shaymin.

Cindy- As mentioned above, her team-skull resemblance was pretty present in her team's vibe. Obstagoon is the intimidation factor. Touch her art and you will die by this thing's hand. Snubbul is both intimidating and cute in its own way and she seems the type to have a soft spot for it. Hisuian Qwilfish is both colorful and dangerous.

Joyce- Being the Wild Pines representative, Joyce has one of the larger teams composed of Wigglytuff, Lapras, Beedrill, Venusaur, Vileplume, and Venomoth. Wigglytuff serves as the public face, kind and soft, and is the pokemon usually out at her side. Her Lapras serves as an emergency getaway, and she very much uses that beast to peace out when things get rough. The rest of her team is poison type, because by the time she would have to send them out things would be serious and there would be no more need for charade.

Annette-Snom Little snow bug friend. Would like to keep Annette warm but can only make it colder :(

Bird’s nest Roy-Slowpoke (Galarian) Everyone in this store is high on drugs or high on the madness inside their tiny beast skull.

Cuno -Raticate

Dice maker-Sableye Taste tests all the dice materials. It creeping around in the abandoned building is part of why people think it’s haunted

Dros- Glalie, ice cold. Duskull, Haunted.

The Drunks-Croagunk Definitely poisoning them actively. They asked for it.

@phoenixpearl-ashes and I put together pokemon teams for some of the Disco Elysium characters for shits and giggles, but it ended up being such a fun idea that I drew them! They might drop the explanations/full teams for these guys and other side characters I didn't have time for, so shuffle on over there.

Kim with his Staraptor and Harry with his Feebas, Herdier, and Glameow. I wonder why he's looking so sadly at Glameow? :)

Last but not least, one of the coolest things we did: A parallel team for Dora Ingurland and Dolores Dei.

Because Harry would absolutely deify anything associated with her.

Highly recommend trying something like this, it really was a blast figuring out thematically appropriate, materially realistic, and occasionally funny pokemon pairings for these characters.

OKAY LOOK, I haven't seen the minecraft movie and I NEVER WILL, because even ignoring the terrible visuals and half-cocked isekai plot and everything else I knew from the first trailer that I would hate it.

Because it has ZERO respect for the game it rides on the world and success of! Just on sheer worldbuilding it falls apart immediately! Piglin's can't leave the nether without zombifying within minutes, not to mention that they have no inherent quarrel with overworlders. The only ones that still attack you when you're wearing gold are Brutes, and you literally have to enter THEIR buildings to encounter those!

But even from a non-nitpicky lore perspective, what is the point of this? It's played for laughs with manufactured issues and manufactured laughs and none of the sincerity that makes the game what it is. The overwhelming lack of sincere engagement is exhausting, and I see it so much with adaptations. It's why I wish francises would just be allowed to die. Let things have meaning, let them tell their story how they do, and then when it comes time, let them end. Stop trying to make everything adapt to every medium. Some things work because of how they are made. Not everything has to make every fucking cent it can.

I'm so tired.

Deeply sad that Ghostwire:Tokyo does not have more of a fandom that I can find. I want SO badly to hear people’s long rambling thoughts. It’s such an interesting game for so very many reasons. It’s far from perfect of course but like…it’s enjoyable and interesting and isn’t that good enough? Maybe I’ll post some rambles later.

Favorite Companion: Halsin, best pep talker to ever druid.

Favorite Act: Act 2. The design of the Shadow-Cursed Lands makes me weep. The amount of meat this place has with environmental storytelling, main plot mixed with other side stories and the fantastic monster/npc designs. I need more. (it has NOTHING to do with Halsin having his hottest moment and Kar'niss existing, nu-uh)

Favorite Class: Druid, Circle of Spores

Favorite Storyline: Lae'zel. Extremely tasty fish out of water that has to deal with three existential crises a day throughout the whole thing. Gods, mysteries, dragons, looking for meaning, severing the attachment to toxic mother figures. What else can you want?

Favorite NPC: LET. ZEVLOR. REST. I love this guilt ridden paladin and I really wish Larian gave him more to do in Act3.

Favorite Villain: It's actually pretty hard to pick this one. Each and every villain had something of theirs that I liked. The most fun and satisfying to me was dealing with Auntie Ethel.

Favorite Romance: Obvious choice for me. Right next to the intrigue around the whole main plot and Emperor's backstory, just the idea of having a despised monster on your side and slowly getting closer to them and making them trust you is just... hngggg... so good. Also I do love a mastermind lover. Evil or not.

Favorite Animal: Squire! Not only it has a super cool undead design but it's also a DOG. And you can pet him if you ask nicely - 11/10

Me and @lemon-grenades played Signalis this week. (when I say we played Signalis I mean she played Signalis while I watched and recited useless trivia from the wiki and occasionally was an INCREDIBLE navigator (got us even more lost/killed))

Most unfortunately, Silence’s game profile was lost in the transfer to my new computer. So now, we have Kaeris, and Faerun is much so worse off for it.

Kaeris is the dark urge, and one who is inclined to give in to it. They have helped Wyll to kill Karlach, slain quite a few people more who did not deserve it, and murdered a lovely bard in their sleep. They are an excellent example of a tiefling shaped creature that is very much not what it appears to be.

They have no romantic inclinations towards any of their companions. They see them much more as…pets perhaps, particularly clever ones but essentially property. They do a lot of saying what people want to hear but have little patience for someone like Gale or Wyll who won’t silence their disapproval. They offer favors to their companions in order to exert more control over them in time.

Their lack of memory of the past irks them, but it is not terribly high on their priority list. As of right now they are unsure whether to use the tadpoles.

They intend to rout everyone whenever possible. There is no need for allies when all is blood.
