Piano With Ashlee | Interviewing Multivocal Pianist - Bryant Koh

I had so much fun interviewing Multivocal Pianist (aka Bryant Koh) - an independent artist, musician and composer who combines beatbox and piano as an art form.

In this artist interview episode, Multivocal Pianist ( his stage name) shared with us how he started to combine these two art forms together, his beatbox practice routine and recent experience in Beijing Arts Residency.

We also touched briefly how Beijing's music scene is like compared to Singapore and what it is to be a local independent artist here.

Was taking a slow walk from the old “Bottle Tree” restaurant located in the far end of Sembawang beach sometime ago, and chanced upon this quaint cafe smacked in between a row of landed properties. The cafe was decked with interesting boho decors and furniture. Old pedal sewing machines were refurbished and used as Long dining tables, and colourful lanterns lined the ceiling. The place had a very cozy vibe and made me feel so “at home”. I googled the cafe online an found out that the place is actually run by an old time musician and his family. It was late noon and I already had my lunch. So I ordered their very own special cold brew and homemade lemonade sorbet instead for dessert. Attended one of the most interesting wedding last night, where the bride and groom did an awesome sexy dance walk in with their troupe and a bouncy castle photo booth that we didnt get to take a picture with, lots of beautiful people dressed up to their best, magnum ice cream and other dessert stations, dance and more dance. It was truly one fantastic, and most memorable wedding that I trust the couple will grow to remember and reminisce.
